It had been a long time now. Training done. Weapons wiped clean. 

Footsteps had gone silent, and no one realized the bloodbath dripping. 

They went as fast as they came, melting right into the dark, full moon.

Their bodies moved flawlessly with the breeze's course.

By the time sirens entered the city streets, there were no more trace of what had happened.

This went on for one night first, and then two, and three, onto almost every night. Cops became frustrated. Reporters felt cheated.
