Moment

Tiffany scolded herself as she rushed towards the gates of the school. She promised to wake up early for the first day, but ended up sleeping in like usual. Running past the front desk after thanking the lady for her schedule, she quickly ventured up the ascending stairs. A308...A308...hmmm, 301...302...303...304...woo, there it is, A308. Stopping just a few feet away from the door, she raised her arms to flatten down the fly aways of her hair before taking deep breaths. 1...2...3...

Putting up a small smile, Tiffany opened the door quietly before stepping in, letting the door close behind her. Smiling apologetically at the teacher, she ignored the murmuring voices in the class, and the analyzing gaze of her classmates. Grateful that the class hadn't started yet, Tiffany talked quietly with the teacher about being a new student before looking around the room for a seat.

Noting that a majority of the seats were taken, she finally found one to the left side of the class. Walking towards it, Tiffany looked at the faces of several class mates who just gave her a small smile. Nodding her head, she returned it before looking at the empty seat in front of her. There were two people situated at the two desks next to the left of hers. Since the desks were gathered in a group of threes, then spreading down vertically, her seat was the one next to the aisle. Sitting down quietly, she put down her bag before taking out her notebook. Grabbing a pen, she settled everything on her desk. Making small eye movements, Tiffany looked at the two people next to her discreetly.

The girl that was next to her was amazingly beautiful. Naturally flawless with a small amount of makeup, she was probably the girl everyone envied. Wearing a yellow printed zip-up sweater and white track pants, she stuck out like a sore thumb. A beautiful one at that. She smiled at Tiffany earlier...so her personality couldn't have been that bad.

Moving onto the guy, Tiffany almost felt her heart stop.

He was ...indescribable.

Messy jet black hair (not sure if he purposely styled it like that), dark piercing eyes, smooth glowing skin and that y y jaw line...Tiffany suddenly found it hard to swallow. He was like the asian version of Adonis.

Blushing madly for staring so long, Tiffany carefully looked back to the front of the room where the teacher was going on and on about the course materials and what books they should be buying.

Going back to her thoughts, she wondered why she was acting so weirdly. She never really noticed guys before...and even the good looking ones were just...good looking. She never had time to stop and look for a boyfriend. She never wanted one more like it.

But wow...this guy.

Chuckling quietly to herself, she decided she was insane.

Plain old looking Tiffany. She would never be able to get with a guy like him even if she wanted to. She just wasn't that type, and she was sure he would prefer girls that were up to his league. Hmm, oh well. Back to the books it was! She shouldn't even be thinking about nonsense like this now.

“Please exchange information with your classmates around you. I do not want any of my students to ask me for work they've missed if they can get it from their classmates. If it is unfortunate that you're unable to gather information from students that have not been paying attention in class, you may email me. For now, please get acquainted to your new friends.”

After Mr. Han finished with his little speech, the class got a little lively. Small discussions were forming up, and Tiffany dreaded her spot as everyone around her spoke with their desk mates. Looking to her left, she knew that she was going to have to speak to the pretty girl, and...yeah, him.

“Hi! I'm Im Yoona! Nice to meet you. This is Choi Siwon by the way.” The girl in yellow smiled, pointing at the y adonis next to her. So his name is Siwon...

Fitting. Very fitting.

Returning the smile, Tiffany replied timidly, “Hello, I'm Tiffany. Tiffany Hwang. Nice to meet you two too! Did you guys just meet today?”

“Oh no! We met a few years back. After meeting up from time to time, we got to know each other really well! We both sit with the same group of friends at lunch, so you can say that we're long time friends now.” Yoona grinned, poking Siwon on the arm, “Isn't that right?”

Tiffany watched quietly as the two exchanged jokes, they looked so happy.

She knew she wasn't staring long...but maybe Siwon noticed because he turned his gaze from Yoona towards hers. Tiffany blushed slightly as she heard the beating drums of her heart. His face was emotionless until a few moments later, his lips forming into a small smile. While Siwon seemed carefree and relaxed, his stare was taking down her every movement.

This made her a little nervous.

Brushing her long hair back from her face, Tiffany broke their eye contact before speaking to Yoona again. Slowly after that, Siwon joined into the conversation, and they were having small talk.

She learned that Yoona was in the drama department, hoping to be a actress someday. Siwon on the other hand was into acting as well, but hoping to Major into music. Acting would be his minor. Absorbing all the info, Tiffany quickly explained her dream to become a singer. She was very passionate about performing and since her involvement in musicals since she was young, she couldn't help but love what she has accomplished up until now. She wanted everybody to enjoy music.

For a moment, Tiffany forgot her fears of meeting new people. She forgot about the y guy that was making her heart beat like crazy. She was talking about her dream, and her passion. Just talking about music brings her into a whole new world.

“So, did you want to sit with us at lunch?” Yoona invited, showing her pearly whites before draping her elbow over Siwon's shoulder.

“Oh...I'm not too sure. I don't know anybody...would your friends mind?” Tiffany asked. Her fear of meeting new people coming back again.

Talking to Yoona and Siwon made her feel comfortable, and she was sure she would be able to get along with Yoona rather quickly...but her friends? What if they didn't like her? Tiffany wasn't sure if she wanted to take that step so fast.

“You should come.” His silky voice murmured. Looking up from her hands, Tiffany stared wide eyed into Siwon's eyes. “They're my friends also. I'm sure they'll like to meet you.”

“Yes! Please come! Since you came from America, I have a friend who would be SO happy to meet you.” Yoona grinned, taking Tiffany's hand into hers.

Looking awkwardly into Yoona's smiling face, and Siwon's calculating eyes, Tiffany decided to just go for it. Nodding slightly, she watched as Yoona's face changed from calm to excitement.

Hope this ends up well...

.-.-.

The class ended slightly early, giving the students extra time to head to their next class, or to the cafeteria if they had a break. Since the three of them had a free block, and Siwon and Yoona usually had lunch with their friends at that time, the three of them headed towards the cafeteria.

“Hey, I'm going to go to my locker for a bit. I'll see you there?” Yoona said, nudging towards a corridor to her right. “Show her around also won't yeah?”

Squeezing his arm, Yoona smiled before heading away.

Tiffany felt her own gaze go down at Yoona's touch on Siwon's arm.

Were they closer than she thought they were?

The both of them seemed so casual with each other that Tiffany couldn't tell if were just friends...or something more. The occasional touches were unnerving Tiffany, and although she knew it wasn't her place to be jealous, she couldn't help but feel as if someone of hers was being taken away. Who knew a guy would make her feel like this on the first day? Crazy.

“Are you okay?” Siwon's soft voice floating to her ear, a warm hand on her shoulder.

Looking into his eyes, Tiffany gulped quietly before saying, “I-I am.”

“Let's go this way then.” He smiled, placing his hand on her back lightly before guiding her towards the semi-crowded hallway. Tiffany felt intimidated as she felt eyes at the back of her head from a few students. Many of which had waved or bowed to Siwon beforehand. This made her assume that Siwon probably had some high respect from these students.

The both of them walked down the hall way slowly, it seemed like neither of them wanted to go any quicker. Even though there was only silence between them, Tiffany couldn't help but feel peace around him.

Looking down at the ground, Tiffany quickly noticed Siwon's fingers.

They were long and smooth, reminding her of piano hands. Did he play the piano? She wondered about that briefly before looking back up the hallway in front of her.

Tiffany almost stopped walking when she noticed a menacing stare out of all the curious, or warm looks around her. Feeling a breath hitched down , Tiffany unintentionally moved closer to Siwon, walking closer to him as they continued their way down. Unable to pull her eyes from the gaze, the beautiful girl continued to give her a look of disgust until they past her. Tiffany couldn't help but shiver as she felt the now heavy gaze at the back of her head. Almost as if it was drilling into her brain.

Working on reflex, Tiffany grabbed Siwon's arm before she could stop herself, gripping tightly before releasing gently.

“I'm so sorry!” She gasped, unaware that her emotions had gotten to her.

Did he notice the girl as well?

He didn't make any acknowledgement though...if Siwon did notice...he would've said something.

Tiffany warned herself.

This was her first day. She shouldn't put these little things into her mind. Her mother always taught her, don't focus on the bad things. Work with what you had at the moment.

Putting the girl to the back of her mind, she decided that she was just being paranoid.

Paranoid is all.

“Are you sure you're okay?” Siwon's voiced, concern laced into the words. His eyes were down look at her once again.

“I'm sorry...I'm just nervous.” Tiffany said meekly before giving a big smile. “Sorry for worrying you.”

“Don't be sorry.” He said softly before crinkling his eyes in a smile.

Turning a left down another hallway, Tiffany notice that more and more students were heading towards their next class. She guessed that they were near their destination soon.

Looking up at the ceiling for no apparent reason, Tiffany looked at the light fixtures above.

Pretty.

The school must be pretty rich.

“Ouch!” Tiffany murmured suddenly as she winced at the speckle of dust...or whatever it was that had fallen into her right eye. Stopping abruptly, she could feel the tears spring up as a defence mechanism.

“What happened?” A hand on each of her arms catching Tiffany from wobbling too much.

“D-dust or something in my eye.” She mumbled before trying to rub at it.

“Wait! Let me take a look at it first. Can you do that?” Siwon asked gently, tilting her head up towards his.

Tiffany felt the blood rush to her head as she nodded weakly before complying to his demand.

“Open just a little...can I blow on it?”

“W-what?”

“It's just right there and it's irritating your eye. Should I blow on it for you? I used to do this for my little brother.”

“O-oh, of course!” Tiffany squeaked before Siwon chuckled, blowing down at her eyes gently.

Opening her eye a little wider, she felt a little prick fly away from her eye as the blowing stopped. Blinking ever so slightly, she felt the comfort of her eyes again. Using her shirt, Tiffany blotted the excess tears from her eyes as she smiled widely at Siwon. “Thanks.”

“No problem.”

It was at that moment that Tiffany realized how close Siwon's face was towards hers. Although Tiffany wasn't short, she didn't feel that tall towards Siwon who was slightly towering over her.

Blushing slightly, she could feel his warm hand on her cheek.

“Uh...”

“You're so beautiful.”

The words came and went like a ghostly whisper that Tiffany wasn't even sure if they were said in the first place. But seeing the gentle movement of Siwon's mouth, she knew that she wasn't just imagining things.

This was really happening.

“Ready to go?” Siwon asked before stepping away from her, acting like nothing had happened.

Tiffany couldn't help but raise one eyebrow as she watched the carefree Siwon in action.

So what just happened?

“I can do that too you know.” Siwon laughed before raising both of his eye brows.

Appalled by his sudden action, Tiffany laughed as well before hitting him gently on the shoulder.

Maybe she was being too serious...

“It's just after this corner.” Siwon smiled before walking in front of her.

But who knows?

She didn't mind.

That moment would be kept in her memories forever.

A small ...wonderful moment.

Something to be cherished.

Hey Siwon...you're beautiful too.
