The sun shone through the windows but the two of them don’t even bothered to wake up. But , the silence broke down when someone’s alarm ring.

I jolted up from surprise by the abrupt movements from Seungkwan , who was beside me. I glanced at him that was busy searching his phone around the bed. ‘Damn phone. Where are you?’ He grumbled. He looked down the floor. ‘Here you are!’ He get down from the bed and took his phone while groaning. He turned off the alarm and put the phone on the bedside table. ‘I’m going to hospital. Works are pile up.’ I groaned before sitting down on the bed. ‘Really , now? We just meet each other , like yesterday. Can’t you just apply for a leave?’ He took his towel before shook his head. ‘Nope. Becoming a resident is important in doctor’s life so , I can’t take a leave in my first two weeks. Sorry , Cheol.’ He looked at my , apologeticly before walked into the bathroom.

I groaned and decided to continue my sleep with my face against the pillow. A while later , a hand caressing my hairs. ‘Cheol. Cheol.’ He called me slowly. I opened my eyes slowly before turned my head to look at him. ‘I’ll go to work first.’ I hold his hand before lie down on my side. I released his hand before pointing at my lips. He rolled his eyes. ‘Nope. You don’t even brush your teeth.’ I pouted before cupped my face to the pillow , sulking. ‘You’re being nonsense , Cheol.’ I felt his lips on top of my head before he caressing my head slowly. ‘Bye , Cheol.’ I heard the door closed.

I walked into the emergency room and greeted by Nurse Kim , who was grinning widely at me. I greeted her with an awkward smile and walked to the counter. I knocked the counter lightly and our maknae nurse raised her head. She cleared before smiling at me. I mean , in a weird way. ‘Maknae…My patients chart?’ She startled a bit before handing the charts. I checked the charts before looked at her. ‘What’s with the grin? Something wrong with my face?’ She shook her head. ‘Nothing , doctor. Ah! Mrs. Ha will be discharged today.’ I snapped my fingers at the reminder. I put my pen in my pocket. ‘Thank you for reminding me. And don’t forget my punch card. Thank you.’ I took the charts and walked away from the counter.

I made the final check-up to Mrs. Ha , who was supposed to discharge today. I wrote the result on her chart before putting the chart on the bed. ‘Pretty grandma. Make sure to eat your medicines , okay? Listen to your daughter. You cannot ran away like last time , okay? Promise me.’ She nodded before standing up slowly. She took something from her pocket before handing it to me. It’s a bookmark with flowers drawing. I flipped the bookmark and saw my name. ‘Dr. Boo. For me? Really? This is so pretty.’ She grinned widely before nodding. ‘Thank you. I’ll use it well. Go back safely.’ I waved at her. Her daughter bowed at me and I did the same. I looked at the bookmark before smiling. I put her gift in my pocket and taking the chart before walking away to do check-up for other patients.
