So I talked about a ficlet collection piece last update. It's supposed to be this giant update featuring DH ships in cliche AU settings but since I already separated YunDong's, I decided to just post the rest one by one. And fill up the other ships in the Table of Contents. LOL there's still jundong though...

With that, please expect the next updates to be part of that "Universes" one-shot. This one's BobDong by the way. :)

“Do it swiftly and make sure the kid’s dead.” Jinhwan reminds him from his earpiece. Bobby chews the gum in his mouth then spits it out towards the grass.

“Did you conveniently forget always assigning me to targets riding bulletproof cars with a bunch of bodyguards? I can't do swift.”

“You can. You just choose not to do it.”

Bobby’s about to snark back when his detector alerts him of the target’s location. The car's speeding into the highway he’s waiting at.

“Back to you in a bit hyung.”

He goes into position and readies the trigger of his sniper rifle, his eye steadfast on his scope. In no time he evens out his breathing, doing last minute calculations with the wind before the car goes into his view.

Two shots and the front wheel is jammed. He watches the car swivel until it hits the highway barricade. Bodyguards go out of the car with guns but he’s quick to shoot them all. 1, 3, 5 seconds, he waits.

He stands up and takes out his custom revolver from its holster at the back of his jeans. He does a quick survey around the dark empty highway before making his way towards the limo, kicking a dead bodyguard hanging by the door.

His target, Kim Donghyuk - 4th son of the east Kim clan, is sitting at the other side, folded arms resting on his knees and his face hidden.

“Sorry kid.” he says as he positions his finger by the trigger and points the gun's mouth on the target’s head.

Then he sees the target’s eyes peeking at him from his folded arms, ones that say he had expected the turn of events to happen and that he doesn’t fear. Bobby doesn’t know why but that just freezes him, makes him drop his hold on his gun a bit. The target could have used that momentary slip of concentration to fight back, but he doesn’t.

“It’s okay.”

There’s a sigh before the kid unfolds his arms and leans his head back on the leather seat.

“You can kill me. It’s not like there’s a person who would mourn my death. In fact, that’s what everyone wants.”

Bobby blinks as a shiver runs down his spine. Aside from the fact that his target literally has the most beautiful face he’s ever seen (the photos didn’t give him justice), the kid isn’t screaming or begging desperately for his life. It’s the first time he’s met a target with an accepting attitude.

He lowers his gun more, still cautious, before he sits on the leather seat as well. Ok then, he can play with the kid. He has about 8 minutes and 24 seconds of leeway anyway.

“If everyone wants your death, you wouldn’t have bodyguards risking their lives protecting you.”

“That’s just a formality. A way to save face so no one will think of blaming the family.”

“How sad. What did you even do to make them want your death?”

His target shrugs. “Being born as the 4th, I think. If I didn’t exist uncle could have the company already. I already told him he could have it but he didn’t believe me.”

“Who in their right mind would believe that especially with a clan like yours?”

The kid laughs. Bobby blinks at that again because the image is very different to the bleak one he showed just a minute ago. It’s like he’s chatting with a friend and not with his would-be assassin. The moonlight shimmering on him through the car window both helps and worsens the image.

“You laugh prettily. It’s a shame you have no will to live.”

He sighs and presses the mouth of his gun on the kid’s head again. His target nods, gives off a creepy but heart-wrenching contented smile, before closing his eyes.

Bang!

“From now on Kim Donghyuk the 4th son is dead.” Bobby says as he flips his gun and places it back to its holster. Some of the shattered glass pieces are still hanging into the edges of the spot he shot at.

His now former target stares up at him in surprise, fazed for the first time. It makes him grin.

“Who you are now is a blank slate. And since you don’t care about that life of yours, I’ll just do what I want with it.”

“E-Excuse me?”

“Your life is mine now Donghyuk. The first step will be coming with me back to my circle’s headquarters. You’ll help me explain to Jinhwan-hyung why you’re still alive.”

Donghyuk is still staring at him.

“I’ll kiss you if you continue looking at me like that.”

He grins again when the other stiffens and looks down with a really cute frown. Their surroundings are quite dark but he’s sure Donghyuk is blushing.

“So, what do you say?”

“I thought you’ll do whatever you want with my life? Why are you giving me a choice?”

“I’m just being considerate. It’s not like you’ll refuse.” he hardens his look a bit. “Right?”

“Yes.” Donghyuk sighs and shakes his head as if to wake himself up. He nods at himself then to him, another smile on his face but this time, Bobby could see a small glimmer of hope in his eyes.

“Please take care of my life from now on, assassin-hyung.”

“Bobby.” said assassin-hyung answers with a laugh. “Call me Bobby-hyung. Don’t forget, Donggu.”

He grabs the younger male’s hand and pulls him out of the car, smiling amusedly at the hint of red that’s now more visible on Donghyuk’s cheeks.

Now seriously, how will he explain this to Jinhwan-hyung?
