The Game

Description

They're missing and he has to find them. Being a detective isn't easy.

Foreword

"Please, just find my baby. I can't go on without him." The mother cried, wiping away the tears that fell down her face. Two more families to go.

"I will. I promise you that much." He replied, giving his team a silent note that it was time to head out. They said their goodbyes and exited the home, getting into the SUV that awaited them outside. Seeing a grieving family is something he'll never get used to. It was always the sound of the crying mothers that broke his heart, the sound of true pain is what it was. Sometimes Junmyeon hated his job for this particular reason but then he realized that he was the one that unknowingly comforted families. He was the one that let them know someone was out there searching and solving.

1:24 am.

Kim Junmyeon had a migraine so fierce, he wanted to puke. But he had to find leads and he couldn't give up now. Something was egging him on to continue flipping through his files and his close-to-nothing stack of evidence. He scrawled down all the thoughts and assumptions he had onto a black notebook, not caring if only 70% was legible. Chanyeol gave him a few clues which were discovered to be unsucessful and his captain was giving him a hard time with this case due to the media coverage. Junmyeon wanted to rip his hair out. He wanted to flip his desk over and disappear. Sadly that's not how life works. He took a deep breath in and exhaled slowly, shutting down his laptop and putting his things away. Home was his destination now. He just couldn't give up and he would have to continue this in the morning with his team. Kim Junmyeon couldn't give up.
