"Where is… Zhang Yixing?” The man finally asked, looking back up at Luhan, pointing to the empty seat and extra cup on the table. It wasn’t at all surprising that with just two mere occasions of meeting Yixing and after all these years of not seeing him, the man could tell that Luhan was not Yixing. 

“Is Zhang Yixing coming?” The man tried again, looking expectantly at Luhan with eyes shimmering more of a plead than a question. Luhan found himself looking searchingly up to the sky and back onto the lake, looking for that brightest star. He still didn’t answer the man's question. He just didn’t know how. He didn’t know how exactly to tell him that even though Yixing couldn’t be here, he actually wasn’t too far away."
