Cheatsheet
|| THE SPIRE: A TALE OF MANY WORLDS || ARCHIVEDcheatsheet
age & ethnicity — Age range is 18-30. They can be from anywhere in the world, and don't have to be Asian, although it is preferred. Spatial awareness doesn't have much meaning in the world of the Spire for reality unravelling reasons so you can be from literally anywhere on earth. Neither do languages which is why I didn't include it in the app.
gender — The plotlines aren't gender-locked so have at it.
face claim — Idol face claims are preferred becase of gifs, but if you really want to have a non-idol than go for it. Make sure your face claim matches the ethnicity and also looks the age.
personality — Make sure your character is balanced in terms of flaws and strengths. Make them interesting and someone you might want to write about if you were the author. None of the plotlines have specific character traits, they're just skill-based. I want you have full creativity when it comes to creating your characters.
background — I don't need an extensive biography, I just roughly need to know what's beein going on in their life and where they thought they were going with it before Malik brought them to the Spire.
important people — This is tricky since a lot of the story will be happening in totally foreign worlds. I will tell you this, some of the people your character knows in the Root World may come back in other worlds living a totally different life. So you see that it is still an important section. Also you could totally use this for a very interesting love interest (;
Now the future important people is even trickier since you won't know what kind of world your character will be travelling to. This is here for ideas you have. Do you want your character to meet Hyunshik, the idiot rogue with a heart of gold? He might turn up as a bandid in a medieval fantasy world, or a smuggler in a sci-fi world. If you have any questions about this, don't hesitate to ask me. Also there's no guarantee I'll be able to fit this in but as with everything, I will do my very best to. Please don't include more then three of these, at most.
You can also write about how they'd interact with Mali, the Keeper, or Kiro (who will be a main antagonist in the story) here, which is much appreciated too.
the interview — You can answer in first person or in third person, whatever is more comfortable for you to write in.
love interest — Totally optional. is max of 7 years, and please. Same- love is welcome and appreciated. Make them interesting, your goal is to make me want to write about them. I prefer OCs or other applicants since I'm not very familiar with idol's personalities but if you really want to have an idol love interest then just make sure that you describe their personality well.
Also mind that the love interest bit is a fun aside, but the focus of the story will be on the mystery and the plot. I'll try to fit it in as well as possible because we all love a good (or bad ohoho) love story but the focus is still on the Spire and on Pi. This is another reason why applicant love interests are great though, it makes my life easier :D
password — A line from a song that represents your character or the journey, linked to that song .
brownie points
— I like apps that are neat and laid out in an easy-to-read kind of way. You may add gifs and things as you see fit but please don't go overboard with it.
— Interesting and dynamic love story. Give it ups and downs and make me want to write it!
— Including Malik or the Keeper is always nice to read about~ (*cough*and biased coauthor Lils wouldn't mind some Kiro too XD)
— Not gonna lie, LGBT stuff is a plus.
— Face claims that aren't used often.
— OC love interests and collabs with other applicants!
