Chapter 5

After trying to accept that her grandmother is going to leave her soon, Shinhye goes back home and meet her grandma and company her for the rest of the day.

On the other side, Yonghwa receive a text from the debt collector asking him for his debt. He is a poor kid who only has money enough for only his school fee and day to day food. Yonghwa really hate his dad because of this. It’s not even his debt why is he the one who has to pay it.

Monday comes…Yonghwa is at the school’s balcony table alone sleeping while hearing music through earphones from his phone

“Yonghwa-ya!” Shinhye said happily and plug Yonghwa’s earphone off his ears

Yonghwa don’t care about her and keep sleeping as he’s very tired

“Yonghwa-ya do you know that I bought a hamburger in the morning and it taste so awful, it’s also expensive I hate it urggh”

Yonghwa clipped his fingers to Shinhye’s lips “Can’t you shut up?” Yonghwa said annoyingly

“Anyway, I’m actually happy you’re talkative again, it’s really awkward to see you cry last time you know”

“For that, I’m sorry” Shinhye suddenly lowered her head and feel sad

Yonghwa automatically mess her hair and said “Ya I’m only joking, cry in front of me as you wish, don’t cry in front of somebody else, and don’t pretend as if you’re okay if you’re not, pabo-ya”

Suddenly, the whole atmosphere is quiet as Shinhye is fluttered at what Yonghwa just said

Shinhye smiled, “Gomawo :) I have already accepted the truth on my grandma’s condition, so instead of crying around I better spend time with her”

Shinhye’s eyes got teary and Yonghwa realized that, so he ask her “Are you okay? Just cry there’s no one around”..Yonghwa pitied her and he just felt that he want to hug her

“Aniya, it’s okay” Shinhye said with a breaking voice

Tears flow from her eyes without her knowing and she can’t speak without breaking her voice

Seeing this, Yonghwa pat her head and pat her back while hugging her

“Sorry for always making you in an awkward position” Shinhye said in Yonghwa’s embrace

“Pabo” Yonghwa sheepishly said

After she’s done crying, she ask if she can go to his house afterschool because she can’t stand his ugly hair

“What wae you want to do my hair?!”  Yonghwa shockingly ask

“Yes I’ll make you handsome” Shinhye said smiling

“Shinhye-ya sorry to say this but I don’t trust you to cut my hair :D”

“You’re so mean..I should cut it later”
Yonghwa feels relieved when she sees Shinhye joke around again

After school, Shinhye goes to Yonghwa’s house and force him to lend her scissors to in order to cut his hair.

After being annoyed by Shinhye, Yonghwa gave her the scissors and plead her repeatedly to make it not bad

Shinhye cut his hair and when it’s done, Yonghwa was shock and can’t believe that it’s him in the mirror! He looked so handsome!

Both of them feel satisfied and Shinhye said “This way, all girls will like you”

Yonghwa is hurt hearing her saying that, she don’t want anyone else but Shinhye, she’s the one who make him happy from his first day and change his life little by little making him happier than before, she accepted Yonghwa the way he is and never judge him

“Shinhye, can you promise me one thing?” the atmosphere becomes serious

Shinhye is shocked, “Wae?”
“Can you be always on my side as you do now? It feels so good to have someone on my side”

Shinhye smiled and said “Ya you’re shocking me, why would you think I’ll leave you. Don’t worry when you feel lonely just remember that I’m always available and a full time friend”

Yonghwa laugh a bit and mess her hair again…

At that moment, Hongki called Shinhye and ask her to company him eat ice cream

“What, you know Hongki?” Yonghwa asked

“What, you know him too? He’s my childhood friend Yonghwa ya”
“He’s my bestfriend too!”
Both of them than planned to shock Hongki by both coming to the ice cream place

“SHINHYE IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU and wait wait who’s that”

Shinhye whispered to Yonghwa “YA you said that you guys are best friends how come he don’t know you”
“YA HONGKI ITS ME YONGHWA”
“Yonghwa? WHATS WITH YOUR HAIR YOU LOOK LIKE CHANYEOL FROM EXO”
“YA you guys know each other?!”
“YES HAHA I THINK WE 3 ARE GOING TO MAKE A GOOD FRIENDSHIP”

“To the bubbly Shinhye, cheerful Hongki, and robot Yonghwa, let’s cheers our ice cream” said Hongki cheerfully

“What’s with the robot -_-“

“CHEERS”
Yonghwa are a bit annoyed of how close Hongki and Shinhye were

Hongki too… he loved her friend too much and he’s developing feelings for her. Although not going to the same schools, Shinhye and Hongki have been friends since they’re kindergarten, they grow up together and support each other throughout their lives since they live in the same area back at the old days and can meet each other as they wish…even though Shinhye has moved to the edge of Seoul, both still meet each other and joke around

(I'm coming to make the relationship complicated*smirk**)

Hongki and Yonghwa were friends since middle school. They always joke around and annoy each other, they can’t believe that they’ll meet again after Yonghwa’s transferred school in highschool and can’t also believe that both have interest in the same girl, Shinhye…

we'll become competitors in a while ~
