“What do you mean you cannot go out shopping with me?” 

 

Nari hugged her friend with a small pout.

 

“Sorry Yerin, but we all promised Joonie to see his judo match. It’s the national final.” Nari held her friend’s hands.

 

“I get it! We have to watch your ‘rockstar’ boyfriend.” She chuckled.

 

Nari smiled as Yerin linked arms with her.

 

“You guys are like absolute perfection, making my life an absolute misery.” Yerin sighed.

 

Nari grinned as they walked through the hallway towards their maths class.

 

As they walked, the student body would just stop, as if two goddesses just rushed past their eyes.

 

It did make Nari uncomfortable at times but Yerin would always keep her head straight.

 

As they entered the room, she saw her neighbour or the President of the Student Council, Youngjae wave to her.

 

The girls walk up to his desk.

 

“I see the angels have arrived.” He flashed a grin.

 

Yerin rolled her eyes.

 

“Yoo Youngjae, sometimes I feel that you are a huge piece of grease. Disgusting.” She huffed.

 

“I know right? He needs to get his head on straight.” Jongup, another good friend, joined the conversation.

 

Nari smiled as she continued to talk to her friends.

 

She was very happy to be with her group of friends since they did all grow up in the same street, until Yerin, Jongup and Junhong moved away recently, leaving Youngjae and Nari.

 

“Wait, where is our Junhong?” Yerin looked around for him.

 

“You mean Zelo.” He appeared behind her, giving her a fright.

 

“Yah!” Yerin hit him.

 

“So, is our Joon ready for the big match?” Jongup nudged Nari.

 

Nari smiled.

 

“He’s been practicing for months. He should come out on top. You know my Joon, he wouldn’t lose ever.” Nari playfully bragged.

 

Thinking about Daejoon gave Nari butterflies.

 

They have been dating for just over a year and that year was the best year of her life so far.

 

After he transferred to her homeroom class a year ago, it was fate.

 

Love.

 

He was just perfect.

 

“Hey babe.” She felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist.

 

“Hey Joon.” She grinned touching his strong arms.

 

“Here we go. Seriously you two make me sick.” Yerin rolled her eyes.

 

The group chuckled at Yerin’s reaction.

 

“So, are you ready Joon? I heard the guy you are up against is from Busan.” Jongup asked him.

 

“He’s actually from my old school. It would be interesting, I’ve never beat him before.” Daejoon got up and sat down next to Youngjae.

 

“Well, we all will be there supporting our Joon!” Zelo patted his head.

 

“Yah! You can’t do that to your elders!” Daejoon playfully pushed Zelo.

 

“I’m only a year younger…”

 

“Yeah, that makes you a nerd you grade-skipper!” Yerin laughed.

 

“Hey! Lay off our maknae!” Nari slung her arm around him.

 

“Oh, teacher is coming! Sit!” Youngjae looked out the window.

 

They all took to their seats.

 

Nari turned her head towards Daejoon.

 

As he absent-mindedly yawned her heart melted a little.

 

He caught her staring and flashed a charming smile, just to melt her heart a little more.

As the bell rang, Nari gathered all of her belongings and slung her bag over her shoulder.

 

She walked towards her friends who were all in the hallway..

 

“Alright, so we all meet up at Youngjae’s tomorrow and go to the match together.” Yerin explained the travel arrangements.

 

Everyone nodded.

 

“Sweet, well see you all tomorrow!” Jongup waved.

 

“Bye!” Yerin quickly hugged Nari and waved before following Jongup.

 

“Bye guys!” Zelo smiled as he took off in another direction.

 

Youngjae, Daejoon and Nari started to walk towards the bus stop.

 

Daejoon held Nari’s hand with a small smile.

 

Her hand was soft as per usual and it made him quite happy.

 

“Nari-ah, if I win, can you grant me a wish?” He asked her.

 

“Of course!” She responded eagerly.

 

“Please don’t expose your couple lovey-dovey stuff when I am here.” Youngjae cringed as he walked beside Daejoon.

 

“Sorry Jae, but this is important. I want to know what wacky wish he wants me to grant.” Nari pouted as cutely as she could.

 

Youngjae plugged his ears.

 

“Just hurry up and say it! I don’t want to hear it!”

 

Nari laughed, “So what wish are you thinking about?”

 

“I don’t know yet. Should I tell you after I win?”

 

Nari slapped his arm.

 

“Just tell me!”

 

“No, I’ll wait.” He smirked.

After riding the bus together, the three friends hopped off the bus and reached Nari’s house.

 

“I guess I will see you all tomorrow.” Daejoon sighed as he knew that he would have to leave Nari.

 

“Yes, see you guys tomorrow!” Youngjae waved before he rushed to his house which was next door.

 

Nari chuckled as she watched him scurry into his house.

 

“Are you going to practice now?” Nari pouted.

 

Daejoon nodded.

 

She hated to part from Daejoon.

 

She assumed that he hated it too, since she didn’t want to seem obsessed with him.

 

“Have fun, I guess I will see you tomorrow?” Nari bit her lip as she attempted to say goodbye..

 

Daejoon smiled as he planted a light kiss on her lips.

 

Her heart raced as she lightly kissed him back.

 

The warmth she felt was indescribable.

 

“Don’t be so sad. I will drop by after practice before I go home. You are lucky that I live in the next street.” He winked.

 

“Yah!” She hugged him tightly before he left.

 

Nari loved the feeling of being held.

 

“I don’t want you to go.” She sighed.

 

“Me too. You know very well that I hate leaving you babe.”

 

“I guess you have to go now.” She released herself from his arms.

 

He gently pinched her cheeks as he kissed her forehead.

 

“I’ll drop by!” He waved as he left the street.

 

She waved as he slowly disappeared from her sight.

 

Nari opened the gate to her house and entered with a light skip in her step.

 

Everyday was a paradise for Nari.

 

If only every day could be like this.

 

Absolute perfection.
