In a world where humans and mutants live together in harmony for many centuries, the new world leaders have captured and slaughtered over two-thirds of the mutant population in South Korea.

However the word mutant seems harsh.

The only difference between a human and a mutant is that mutants have red eyes and elf-like shaped ears. Depending on what element the mutant is specialised in, they have extraordinary powers. Fire mutants are different to water mutants. Generator mutants are very different from earth mutants. These are the only types of mutants that exist on Earth.

But excluding the eyes, ears and their powers, mutants have blood, skin, functioning organs, hair, they share the basic features of humans. Their mental and physical abilities are the same.

But now, the world is a scary place for mutants.

From the 1.5 million mutants living well in South Korea before the world leaders started their operation, now 420,000 mutants remain. They live very cautiously within the human population, knowing that officers are roaming the streets every day trying to catch the mutants.

Seo Ahra is a generator mutant. She generates energy and can control any power source by using her eyes or clicking her fingers and the only way for her to gain energy is to ‘recharge’ her ‘battery’ by plugging an energy source in her wrist.

She has been living alongside her roommates for three years now and they are all human. They don’t know that Ahra is a mutant.

Ahra is just an intern at a news station. She worked extremely hard to get the position and she doesn’t reveal her true identity to anyone. This was her first time experiencing no discrimination since school where they had to reveal themselves.

Another scandal in his name, the list goes on and on. Now Oh Sehun is on an indefinite hiatus and his only hope in surviving the cruel world is his cousin, Hyojung who invited him to stay with her and her roommates. He gave up on bonding with his fellow members and after the group is starting to break down, Sehun finds it difficult to open up to others, even his closest relative Hyojung.

But when he watches one of Hyojung’s roommates electrocute herself, he never knew that she was also alone.They bond and reveal each other’s secrets.

“Finally, someone who understands me.”
