In 2007, a mysterious viral outbreak pushes South Korea into a state of emergency. An unidentified virus sweeps through the cities quicker than any other plague mankind has ever saw, transforming infected humans into narcotic, cannibalistic creatures or what is commonly known as zombies. Destroying much of humanity, the South Korean government retreated to the southern part of the Korean peninsula, rethinking tactics to reclaim the land. However, with their current limited military forces limited and suffering immense damages, a unanimous decision was held to utilize the student population of the country. And so, the mandatory conscription was altered so that all university and high school students were to be conscripted into the reserve forces to expand and provide aid to the main army force.
