Vanilla Latte & Blueberry Muffins
Description
Loneliness followed her everywhere. And he thinks maybe he can make her feel less lonely.
Foreword
It’s been over a year from that day. That day when the people she thought were her family, betrayed her. And though it’s been a year, she still cannot stop the ache and the hollowness in her heart or the loneliness that she felt throughout the day.
Loneliness. She had never felt so alone in her life. Sure she had Krystal and Tyler (who was nothing more than a friend) and Minyoung and the other girls but after spending a good majority of her life with them, the hole just seemed to linger regardless of all the friends she made.
Today was just another day to get through. She entered her favorite café, keen on getting her daily dose of coffee and some breakfast before heading to her office.
Silvermist was a minimalist café, decorated with light-colored wood tables and chairs. Blackboards hung behind the barista counter with the menu written on it. White walls lined the café and plant aquariums graced certain areas. It was very similar to her home. Although Silvermist was located near the heart of Seoul, it was surprisingly never busy like Starbucks. It also helped that the customers weren’t into K-pop so she didn’t have to hide who she is. And those who did notice her, let her be.
“Vanilla latte and butter croissant please,” she ordered with a small smile as she pulled out her wallet.
After paying and receiving her order, she turned and headed out the door nearly bumping into someone.
“Sorry,” she murmured softly as she felt around for her keys, not making eyes contact with the person.
“Sica noona?” a voice called out.
Turning around, her eye locked on to a sort-of tall, blonde haired man.
“Baekhyun?”
“Noona!” he exclaimed as walked towards her with a boyish grin. As he gave her a hug, she tensed up and looked around the café to make sure no one was taking pictures or videos.
“How have you been?” he asked with a smile as he released her.
Taking a step back, she returned a small smile. “I’ve been well enough. How are you?” She didn’t want to be rude.
“Same. Your fashion line seems to doing amazing!”
“Thank you, my team has been working hard so it’s nice to hear that. But not to be rude Baekhyun, I don’t think we should be talking. The girls and I didn’t part on the best terms and I don’t want Tae to get mad at you,” she responded.
After a moment of silence, Baekhyun responded. “Taeyeon noona and I broke up.”
“I’m sorry to hear that. Still, the company would have a fit if someone saw us.”
“Honestly noona, I don’t care,” he said with a shrug.
She shook her head, “I need to go anyways. Take care Baekhyun.” She turned to make her exit.
“Let’s have lunch soon noona,” he called out behind her.
Ignoring him, she made her way to her car. It’s was highly unlikely that they would see each other again.
