Chapter 4.
The Little Prince.Life for Jong Woon was slightly easier now that he know Ryeowook considered him as his friend. He replayed the Little Prince words on his mind to keep the feelings of more than friends at bay.
He continued taking care of the Little Prince now that he had sixteen, he knew that was a troublesome age, he had some issues when he had that age, but, then again, the Prince surprised him again.
He was calm, kind, generous and warm to anyone, including his father's advisor that always talked about how the Prince needed to be more firm and strong if he wanted to help the kingdom.
Jong Woon didn't like that man.
"Jong Woon." Both the Prince and him stopped when they heard the voice of Jong Woon's father.
"Yes, father?" He asked, feeling confused, his father didn't usually talk to him while they worked.
"Come with me, your mother is not feeling well."
Those simple words were enough to shake Jong Woon's world. His mother was a strong and courageous woman that never showed her sickness or tiredness to anyone. She cured flus, headache and even broken bones with a smile, always fighting for her family. If she admitted she was sick, things were not right.
"I'll send another guard to take care of you, your majesty?" He barely heard his father telling to the Prince.
"Oh, no, I don't want another guard... I want to go with you." If he wasn't this worried, he was sure that he would be more than happy.
"My Prince, I don't think our humble house is a place for you." His father said, trying to move Jong Woon out of his state.
"I insist, Mrs. Kim took care of me when I was a baby, I want to visit her." Ryeowook said, adopting a firmer tone.
His father nodded, bowing slightly and starting to walk.
"Jong Woon, come on." He didn't even have mind to react when Ryeowook took his arm and started to guide him behind his father.
"Mom!" Jong Woon ran to her as soon as they entered, seeing his mother laying on the bed.
"Woon, what are you doing here? You should be protecting Prince Ryeowook." She said, Jong Woon shivered at how her voice sounded so tired.
"There's no need for that, Mrs. Kim, I'm right here." Ryeowook smiled, standing next to Jong Woon.
"Your majesty! How can I be like this when you're in our humble house." She tried to sit up but Jong Woon pushed her to lie down again.
"Please don't worry about me, what matters now is that you get better."
Ryeowook, Jong Woon and his father stayed in there until a doctor arrived and checked her. The Little Prince could see how nervous his protector was, his hands were trembling while his eyes seemed lost in the frail body of her. He wanted to do something, but didn't know what, he just wished she got better because he didn't want to lose Jong Woon.
As soon as the doctor walked out of her room, Jong Woon and his father ran to him, asking in high tones if she was going to be fine.
"I'm afraid that she has a severe case of pneumonia, she needs urgent medication..." He trailed the words, Ryeowook could see how Jong Woon's face got worse with each word.
"What are her chances?" His father asked the bitter words.
"If she doesn't get the medicine soon, I hate to say this but the chances are really low."
Jong Woon stumbled backwards, falling on a chair with a soft thud, colour leaving his face while he gripped at his trousers.
"T-Thank you, doctor." His father said, pressing one hand to his face.
The man bowed at Ryeowook before leaving the place.
"W-We need to buy the medicine, right now." Jong Woon stoo
