Chapter 7
The Little Prince. The next morning Jong Woon woke up with the worst headache he had ever experienced in his whole life. It felt like someone hit him with the hardest material on earth and that his skull was fragmented in tiny pieces that were perforating his brain. He didn’t remember falling asleep in the first place, but he assumed that after crying his eyes out for more than two hours straight, it was normal to practically lose consciousness.
Wincing at the pain, he managed to open his eyes, finding a room that only reminded him the events of that night.
How was Ryeowook?
He felt the need of stand up and run to check on him, it was more than obvious that no one could sleep comfortable in such position and the fact that he was part of the royalty was worse, his bed needed to be the softest thing on earth, but he dismissed the idea almost instantly. They were guarding the door and something was telling him that his father gave them specific instructions of not letting him get near his Little Prince no matter what.
Groaning and holding his head, he stood up and stumbled a little before leaning his body on the wall. His brain was still a complete mess, he still needed to talk with his father about all of this, make him understand that Ryeowook had nothing to do with the problem and that it was totally unfair for the twenty years old young man to be treated like this… The problem was that he wasn’t sure how to say everything without looking like a traitor to his family.
After washing his face in the bathroom and eating a piece of bread it was there, he walked out of the small cabin, wondering where his father was. Now that the sun was up, he could see that it was the old training camp where he used to train with his father and mother when he was only ten.
“You’re looking for you father, Jong Woon?” His expression turned into one of complete anger upon hearing that voice, his feline eyes moved to the left to find the man that dared to hurt his Ryeowook.
“Isn’t that obvious?” He said in a low tone that sounded more like a growl “Where is he?”
“He needed to attend some things and he’s not coming back until tomorrow” The man grinned, enjoying the look of disbelief the younger had on his eyes “And don’t think you can get near the prince, he left a strict schedule we need to follow and your name does not appear in there.”
Hating the man even more, he turned his back at him and started to walk away, knowing that if he stayed in there for more time, the man was going to end up with a broken nose.
His family was placed on a higher level of strength and intelligence for the position they had, or used to have. As the direct protectors of the royal family they needed to be prepared for everything, especially he because he was the one in charge of the youngest member of the family. He knew that if any of them dared to challenge him was going to end with broken bones and other things.
“What am I supposed to do?” He thought while he walked through the thick forest, looking up at the sky like trying to receive a divine answer “They’re hurting him, he’s scared and he doesn’t even know why all of this is happening, he’s the kindest person in the whole world!” It may sounded wrong, but he would be less worried if they were keeping the queen or king hostage, after all, they never seemed to be worried for him after he became a teenager.
Kicking a large tree, he rested his head on it, ignoring the throbbing pain on his toes for the impact against the hard wood. This situation rang millions of alarms inside his head, he knew that this wasn’t going to be forgiven by the crown, the moment they took a step inside the kingdom, they were going to be condemned to have the most painful death.
But he didn’t really matter to him, if Ryeowook was okay, he was going to accept everything.
But…Their plan included releasing Ryeowook, right?
A jolt of fear coursed through his entire body at the idea. What if his father wasn’t planning on releasing them? What if they planned murdering him to teach the kings the importance of his group? No, he couldn’t let that happen, he couldn’t bear the idea of ending the life of the person he loved since he was born.
He needed to talk with his father quickly.

The next day, Jong Woon spent his day walking around the camp, checking the people that entered the cabin where Ryeowook was see what they were doing. He didn’t care for the annoyed expression the guards had for his constant rounds, he just wanted to make sure he was safe and that they didn’t leave the cabin with something… disturbing.
He studied how they shifter places every time a turn ended, seeing that, from the three guarding all around the cabin, two walked away from it while the ones that were going to take their places talked with the one in the door, leaving the back part of the place totally unprotected. His brain already had a plan to enter if his father didn’t let him visit him, although he was afraid of the Prince’s reaction towards him, he still wanted to see him again.
Unfortunately for him, his father arrived at midnight that day and he needed to walk behind
