Since that very day

Since That Very Day

Jimin POV

Tuesday, December 3rd 2013; 07.45 PM

Jimin was walking in a rush with five thick books in his hands. He got some project which was due to next week. That’s why he needed to be in the library until that late and worked on it. He stared at his left wrist, again. A black tattoo was formed beautifully there: December 3rd 2013. It was the day. The day when he would finally meet his soul mate.

Since the morning, hell, since several weeks before the D-day, Jimin had stared at his tattoo every once in a while. He didn't really know what he expected by looking at it all the time. Maybe he scared that his tattoo would turn into grey before he met his soul mate. Maybe he was just nervous. He wasn't sure.

Jimin had always been a person who anticipated meeting his soul mate eagerly. He shoved his hand proudly in front of Jungkook, his best friend, once he just got the black tattoo, when he was 13. It was their last year in the middle school. Jungkook hadn't got his at that time.

"December 3rd 2013?" Jungkook looked at Jimin's hand. They were in their classroom. It was still early when they arrived, that's why it was only the two of them in the class now. "It's like four years from now, isn't it?"

Jimin nodded happily. He saw his left wrist and admired the beautiful mark there.

"So, I'm not your soul mate then huh? Thanks God!!" Jungkook said dramatically. Because recently, Jimin had thought that maybe Jungkook was his soul mate and insisted that Jungkook had completed him.

"Say anything. I don't care." Jimin caressed his own wrist. "I will meet my soul mate four years from now! Oh my GOD! I'm so excited! What should I prepare, Jungkookie?" Jimin bounced and clung onto Jungkook’s elbow.

"It's four years. Not four days." Jungkook rolled his eyes and tried to detach himself from the too happy Jimin beside him.

"It's still." Jimin shrugged. "Just wait and see. You will feel the same when it's your turn." The chubby-cheeked boy was still admiring the new tattoo on him. And the younger boy next to him just shrugged.

It was finally the D-day now, and Jimin wondered when he will meet his soul mate. It was getting late and Jimin really was getting more curious and more nervous every second passed. He thought about every possibility of romantic scene in his innocent mind. It made him smile unconsciously. He still stared at his wrist under the books while walking fast when suddenly he was tripped on his own feet and fell down face first on the floor. Oh great.

Jimin got up to sit on the floor and cursed under his breath. He looked around at the mess he made. The books and some sheets now were lying around him. Jimin was still sitting when he heard footsteps were approaching.

"Hey, you okay?"

Jimin could hear a husky deep voice from in front of him. He looked up and saw a brown haired man in a black coat and black trousers, were kneeling before him and starting to pick the books and the sheets up.

"I- thank you." Jimin accepted the books that the man handed and finally locked his eyes with the man's.

It was when he suddenly felt his wrist was burning and the colour of the tattoo was changing. Jimin folded his sleeve a little bit and the man did the same. Jimin gasped. He looked at the man in front of him. Jimin turned to check the man’s left wrist and found a same date as his was now changing its colour slowly.

Jimin then turned to look at the man’s face once again. Jimin thought that the man was indeed handsome. He had small eyes with strong gaze. His nose was pointed and small. His lips were thin and pink. His skin was fair and looked glossy. Jimin wondered what it felt to touch the skin. Was it soft like what it looked?

Jimin saw the man widened his eyes a little when the tattoo colour changed. He felt that the man also looked at every curve of his face and studied him. Jimin felt so small all of the sudden. He didn't know that it would be that nervous to be observed and maybe- judged.

Jimin forgot that one thing, he forgot to think that maybe his soul mate would be disappointed when he looked at Jimin. He never really felt he was appealing. He never really felt confident of his appearance. Yet Jungkook always said that Jimin was beautiful. Jungkook wouldn't lie to him about that, right?

The man blinked. "Wow-” He finally broke the silence. “So you're uh- Hi."

Jimin also blinked, "Hi." He gave a small unsure smile.

The brown-haired male before him looked at Jimin with that strong gaze and unreadable expression. Jimin didn’t know what to think, and Jimin didn’t know what to say. It was not really an ideal first encounter for Jimin, let alone romantic. It was in fact intimidating. It made him frightened and nervous at the same time.

They were still looking at each other when suddenly, "Yoongi? What happened?" Another voice was heard as Jimin saw a breathtakingly beautiful man walking towards them.

The handsome man in front of Jimin, who now he learnt named Yoongi, stood up.

"Nothing. Uhm just-.” Yoongi paused, “Nothing." Yoongi said finally. It hurts Jimin for some reason.

The beautiful man was now stretching his arms and helped Jimin to stand. "Are you okay?"

Jimin didn't manage to say a thing, so he nodded. Jimin was now standing in front of the two men. One of them was apparently his soul mate, who he had waited to meet since the tattoo appeared, four years ago. He had been really anticipating the day. And many romantic scenarios had been played in his mind. He was always thinking the positive things so he forgot to think about the worst scenario that could happen. Like, right now- maybe.

"Good then." The tallest among the three said and smiled to Jimin.

Jimin was still dazed when Yoongi suddenly grabbed the beautiful man's hand and intertwined their fingers. "Let's go home." He smiled to the latter, then nodded to Jimin. They turned and walked away, hand in hand.

Jimin was confused. He didn't really know what was going on. All the sweet scenarios didn't happen. Why didn't they introduce their selves to each other? Why didn't his soul mate, Yoongi, ask for his number or something? Why did this beautiful guy holding hands with his soul mate? Why did it hurt his heart so much? He had waited this very moment since forever, and now he couldn't understand a thing.

Jimin was still looking at them, with the suddenly too heavy books in his shaking hands. The two guys were now twelve steps away from Jimin when they stopped. Not that Jimin counted. The beautiful man released his hand from Yoongi only to put a thick grey scarf, which Jimin just realized he was holding, around Yoongi's neck carefully. With two hands still clinging on the scarf, He then smiled a very beautiful smile to Yoongi and kissed Yoongi’s thin lips slowly.

Jimin tried really really hard not to stare. Jimin tried really really hard not to scream. Jimin tried really really hard not to cry. And the last one, he was kind of failed. He could feel warm tears flowing on his cheeks.

The chubby-cheeked male turned around. He didn't need to see any more of those ‘lovely’ scenes. It was when he saw Jungkook appeared in his blurred sight. Jungkook widened his eyes when he saw Jimin was in a mess. He soon ran to Jimin and took all the books from Jimin shaking hands and placed them on the nearest table beside them.

Jungkook glanced at Jimin's now dark-red tattoo and embraced the smaller boy. Jungkook patted Jimin's back gently and let him cried on his chest.

Jimin hugged Jungkook back, tightly. "Jungkookie- now I know what it feels. It hurts so much indeed." He sobbed and mumbled on the younger's chest. And he could feel Jungkook pecked the crown of his black hair softly.

Yoongi POV

Wednesday, December 9th 2015; 08.42 PM

Yoongi sipped his hot chocolate and glanced at the orange-haired boy sitting before him. The boy was in fact his soul mate, Park Jimin. Yoongi put his cup on the table and looked around him. The cafe was still quite busy at such hour. Yoongi sighed and looked at Jimin’s messy orange hair and wondered why the boy looked really great in them.

Jimin had dyed his hair into goldish-orange since a week ago. He said that it was a Christmas-special hair colour. Yoongi only rolled his eyes when Jimin then said that the older should try green because it would also go well for Christmas theme. Well, and surprise, actually Yoongi’s hair is pastel-green now. And he didn’t regret it a bit when his new hair colour made Jimin squealed and touched the green locks every ten seconds, “I couldn’t believe you actually did this, hyung!” Yoongi remembered Jimin looked amazed the first time he saw it.

Yoongi was still looking at the orange head who was now starting to focus on chatting through his phone. Yoongi’s mind wandered on the day he met Jimin. It was imprinted on Yoongi’s mind how he met his adorable soul mate.

Yoongi had been dating Seokjin for three months when he met Park Jimin two years ago. It was snowing lightly as Yoongi saw the outside through the library's windows that evening. He was not really the study-in-the-library-until-late type of person. It was just happened that Yoongi had to wait for Seokjin there, in the large and quite university's library.

There was this boy who was walking in a hurry and suddenly got a little careless and dropped all the thick books from his little hands. Yoongi looked around and saw no one else there except him. Yoongi wasn’t really a caring person who will help a clumsy stranger in his spare time. Yet something –which he didn’t know what that was— pushed him hard to help the boy. He sighed loudly and stood up to approach and help the boy. Yoongi just wasn't aware that the boy was his soul mate. Hell, Yoongi even was not aware that it was the D-day for him to finally meet his soul mate.

Yoongi could feel his left wrist was burning when he looked at Jimin's brown eyes for the first time. Yoongi took a glance at his left wrist and saw where a particular date was formed beautifully there; December 3rd 2013. It was the day Yoongi met Jimin. It was originally black before Yoongi met Jimin, and it had changed into dark red now.

Yoongi was not really the type who thought deeply about the idea of soul mate. He didn't even think much when the tattoo appeared three days before his 13th birthday. Yoongi simply thought that everyone had their own choices and couldn't be forced to fall in love to the person with the same mark on the left wrist.

What Yoongi didn't know was that you wouldn't feel forced when you fell in love with your soul mate. You would simply fell either on the first sight or not. Because it was your soul mate in the first place, written on the sky ever since you were born. It was your missing puzzle piece, and it completed you. That's just how it worked.

Yoongi had had Seokjin back then. He had had a heart to be kept, and to be taken care of already.  Well it still didn’t stop Yoongi to look and study the boy when he met him for the first time. The boy was so small, shorter than him maybe. His hair was black and fluffy. His eyes were brown and they looked warm and pretty. He had plump lips and he looked like a baby with his chubby cheeks. His skin was fair and flawless, and it looked so soft. Maybe it would feel like touching baby’s skin when you touch it. But of course Yoongi didn’t.

Even though Yoongi really thought that the boy was indeed endearing, he was not an . Yoongi thought that he better treasured what he had, and so Yoongi thought that he would only passed by and said a simple 'Hi' to his supposed to be soul mate, who was happened to be a very cute chubby-cheeked boy. And he thought that he wouldn't meet his soul mate ever again after that, like, ever.

Yet here he was, sitting across a small table from a particular soul mate of his. Staring at the younger who was still focus on his phone with his lips pouting in concentration. Yoongi couldn't help but look at the younger's left wrist, the same date in the same colour as his was written on Jimin's left wrist.

Yoongi was still staring when Jungkook suddenly appeared and stood beside the oblivious Jimin in front of Yoongi. He looked up and saw Jungkook was frowning at him.

Yoongi cleared his throat, "Oh hi, Jungkook. You're here."

Yoongi could see that Jimin was beaming with the mention of his name, "Oh Jungkookie!" Jimin jumped from his seat and stood in front of Jungkook and smiled revealing the crescent shaped eye-smile of his.

Jungkook smiled at the pretty sight in front of him, then turned to Yoongi. "Thank you, hyung." He said while nodded to Yoongi as if he really appreciated what Yoongi had done. He turned back to Jimin after Yoongi nodded back. "Let's go, Jimin." He grabbed Jimin's marked left hand and interlocked their hands.

Jimin smiled and nodded to Jungkook. He then grabbed his bag with his free hand, and slung it on his shoulder. He then turned to Yoongi, "Thank you for the company, hyung." Jimin smiled to Yoongi, and Yoongi was not sure why Jimin looked at him with that gaze. He looked at Yoongi with a slight sad gaze. Only a slight that you wouldn’t notice if you didn’t squint. Yet Yoongi noticed it. Or was he imagining things? Because, why the hell Jimin was sad in the first place? Jungkook was there, and Jungkook was the person that could always make Jimin happy, wasn’t he?

Yoongi smiled slightly, eyes still on Jimin's. "You're always welcome."

Yoongi saw as the two of them turned to leave, and Yoongi was still looking at them, and to be exact he was still looking at Jimin's hand which is held by Jungkook, when the two of them got further and further. He couldn't help but think that he should be the one in Jungkook's position at the moment. He should be the one who held Jimin's hand. He should be the one Jimin needed for protection. He was Jimin's soul mate after all.

Yoongi could feel a sudden familiar pang on his chest.

Jungkook POV

Middle of August 2009; 11.08 PM

It was a pretty cold summer that evening in Busan. Jungkook was running only in his red t-shirt, black jacket, black shorts, and red sneakers. It was so late and the street was empty. The houses which were passed by Jungkook were quiet and dark already. Jungkook stopped in front of a white two-storey house and approached it quietly. It was Jimin’s house. He couldn’t sleep that night and decided to crash in Jimin’s house.

Jungkook walked around to the back side of the house. He then climbed onto Jimin's bedroom window. It was on the second floor, yet he could climb it easily, courtesy of a quite big tree next to it. He opened the window, which had never been locked –for Jungkook’s sake— just like he usually did. It was unexpected that he saw a different thing that night, Jimin who usually greeted him with his happy smile –or sleepy smile or didn’t greet him at all because he was asleep— was packing his things into a quite big backpack. The lamp in Jimin's room was not on. The only source of the light was from the street light which was glowing through the window.

"Jiminnie? What- Are you going somewhere?” Jungkook frowned and he walked closer to the elder. “Where are you going?"

Jimin looked up at the ceiling for a while before answering. "I don't know, maybe Seoul."

"What? What do you mean?" Jungkook had never heard about this going-to-Seoul thing from Jimin. Jungkook was sure that Jimin never kept anything from him, so, why didn't he hear about this before? "I mean- Did we talk about this before? I- I didn't prepare anything yet."

Jimin sighed and started to pack his things again, "I'm going alone, Kookie. Don't come with me."

"Wha- You? No, of course not. You won't be able to do that." Jungkook’s voice came out in a worry tone unexpectedly. He came closer to Jimin, the dim light was enough for Jungkook to know where he was going.

"Why not? Do you think I’m a coward or something?" Jimin turned to Jungkook.

"No, Jimin. I just-" Jungkook was right in front of Jimin now. He looked at how Jimin's eyes were full of mixed emotions that Jungkook could hardly tell what those were. They were red and swollen from crying too long. Jungkook sighed. He knew it was something about Jimin's parents. Because it had always been about them. "Do you really have to go?" Jungkook asked quietly now.

Jimin looked at the younger in his eyes. He sighed and nodded slowly.

Jungkook looked at Jimin who caressed his own tattoo as if he asked for protection from his soul mate. Jungkook realized it as Jimin’s new habit since a couple months ago, since the tattoo appeared. Jimin would caress the tattoo when he felt anxious. Jungkook knew that Jimin started to depend on his soul mate even before he met them. That’s weird for Jungkook.

Jungkook had gotten his own tattoo three weeks ago. And other than anticipation, he apparently felt nothing about it. Well, they hadn’t met yet, so anything might happen after the meeting, right? Jungkook had seen some happy married couple with different mark on their wrists. So, that’s weird for Jungkook to see Jimin was so dependant with his soul mate without meeting them.

Jungkook sighed (again) then reached for Jimin's hands and caressed the knuckles with his thumbs. "Ok then, wait for me. I'll go home and pack few things, then I'll come for you, and we'll go to Seoul together, okay? Promise me you will wait for me to pick you up, hm?"

"But-" Jimin widened his eyes.

"Hyung! Promise me." Jungkook used 'Hyung' to Jimin only when he was serious. And he was deadly serious now. Jungkook had grown up with Jimin. He knew Jimin so well. He knew that Jimin would need him at some point, and honestly he needed Jimin too. Jungkook didn't really have something holding him there either.

Jimin paused for a while before finally answered, "Okay, I promise."

Jungkook smiled slightly, "Good. Now sit down and wait. I won't be long." He said and released Jimin's hands only to pull him into his comforting hug.

Seokjin POV

Wednesday, December 9th 2015; 07.14 PM

Seokjin was washing the dishes after making some dinner, when he felt someone's arms wrapped around his waist from the back. He smiled right away knowing that those were his beloved boyfriend's hands. Seokjin felt some sweet kisses on his nape and he leaned onto it. Seokjin couldn't help but washed his hands and turned to face his boyfriend without releasing the warm hug.

Seokjin was melted by the man's strong gaze before him. He smiled his prettiest smile and felt grateful when his boyfriend mirrored it with his sweet smile, revealing the deep dimples he had.

Seokjin caressed his boyfriend's cheek gently, "Welcome home, Namjoonie~"

Seokjin took a glance at his left wrist, a certain date was written there in dark red: March 9th 2014. The same with the one on Namjoon's left wrist. It's ironic how the date always reminded them of Seokjin's ex-boyfriend, Min Yoongi. Yes, the date which was written there was basically Yoongi's birthday.

Seokjin could remember the day he met Kim Namjoon clearly. It was the sixth month Seokjin was together with Yoongi. He was truly happy. He loved Yoongi, and Yoongi said that he loved Seokjin. So, everything seemed to be okay.

After having a birthday dinner, Seokjin and Yoongi went to a night club where Yoongi sometimes performed his rap. It was the first time Yoongi took his boyfriend there.

Seokjin was being dragged by Yoongi around the club to be introduced with some rapper friends of Yoongi's. Until this certain dimpled guy was approaching them. Yoongi knew him, he was Kim Namjoon, Yoongi said. He was one of the best rappers there, Yoongi said. They sometimes produced some songs together, Yoongi said.

Seokjin was awestruck at the handsome guy in front of him. At his dimples. At his eye-smile. At his well-proportioned body. At his comforting smile. And he could feel his left wrist was burning when his eyes met Namjoon's, and the black colour of the date on his left wrist changed into dark red. Seokjin found comfort in Namjoon's warm gaze. So he fell in love to him right there and then.

Seokjin was always someone who thought about the soul mate things deeply. He secretly was aware of his D-day and found his heart wouldn't beat in a normal speed that day. It beat faster since he woke up that morning.

Seokjin was indeed happy, but he was not disloyal. He loved Yoongi but he never deeply fell for him. Being with Yoongi was enjoyable and comfortable, but it was not fit enough. Seokjin did not tell Yoongi, but Yoongi knew eventually.

A month after the first meeting with Namjoon and Seokjin was somehow being different, Yoongi told Seokjin that Yoongi would like to see Seokjin happy and Yoongi knew that some pieces of the puzzle were just not on the right place, and Yoongi said that he could understand.

Seokjin was not sure if Yoongi could truly understand, because only four months before, Yoongi casually told Seokjin that he had met his soul mate like it was not a big matter for him. Seokjin had seen Yoongi acted differently though, but Seokjin never brought that up. Seokjin was a romance fan after all. And he believes in soul mate. Yoongi was not his soul mate, and Namjoon was. Seokjin was not sure, but he smiled and pecked Yoongi's cheek a goodbye.

Well, however, being a common good boyfriend he was, Seokjin did cry hard for breaking up with Yoongi. Fortunately, there was someone who ready to catch him, so that he didn’t get any bruise from it.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Namjoon’s voice sent Seokjin back from the thought. He caressed Seokjin’s cheek softly, but didn’t release the elder from his embrace.

“Nah, just recalling things.” Seokjin smiled and pecked Namjoon’s lips. “You said you would be home late, didn’t you?”

“Yea, I did. But Yoongi hyung cancelled our meeting. He said Jimin needed company.” Namjoon didn’t really wonder why Yoongi would postpone an important meeting for the sake of Jimin.

“Ah- Jungkook had a late practice again?” Seokjin frowned. Jungkook was always worried about Jimin. Seokjin had heard that it was something about Jimin’s childhood terrifying memories. And he heard that Jungkook had watched over Jimin since then.

“Yea, it seemed so.” Namjoon shrugged.

Seokjin then thought about Yoongi. He knew how Yoongi also wanted to protect Jimin. “They should stop that.” Seokjin was playing with Namjoon’s fringe.

“Stop what?” Namjoon frowned.

“All the drama between them.” Seokjin sighed. Yoongi was now his and Namjoon’s best friend. Seokjin knew pretty well the pain Yoongi felt, even though the younger told him nothing about it.

“Hey we’ve agreed to not to get involve, right?” Namjoon reminded his boyfriend.

“But they’re too dumb.” Seokjin said and placed his forehead on Namjoon’s clothed chest.

“Tell me about it.” Namjoon snorted. “Anyway, stop talking about them, yeah? I’m starving.” Namjoon pouted. “What’s for dinner?”

Seokjin looked up and saw Namjoon was pouting cutely it made him chuckled. Oh Seokjin would always fall in love all over again with the pink-haired male before him.

Yoongi POV

Monday, February 3rd 2014; 03.01 PM

Yoongi had gone to the library again and again after the first unpleasant encounter with his soul mate. Yoongi had gone there often and still hadn’t met the boy yet. He just couldn’t stop thinking about that chubby-cheeked boy and his innocent eyes even for a second.

Yoongi still remembered how the pain was so clearly written in the boy’s eyes when he looked at him and Seokjin. Yoongi felt unbelievably guilty after that. There was this urge to apologize and explain something to the boy. Yoongi didn’t know why but he decided to visit the library often in order to meet the poor boy again.

Yoongi didn’t tell Seokjin about that. It was not because Yoongi wanted to cheat behind Seokjin’s back. It was just that Yoongi thought it was not something important. Yes, the boy was not important and he would only say a simple sorry then leave. Yes, he would absolutely do that.

Yoongi looked up from the book that he randomly took from the nearest bookshelves. He looked around and suddenly he caught a glimpse of the black-haired boy he was looking for. ing finally! The black head was walking between the tall bookshelves and disappeared behind them. Yoongi soon ran towards him. He didn’t wanna miss the chance to say sorry.

Yoongi ran towards the spot where the boy had disappeared, and just like what he had already expected, he saw the chubby cheeked boy was there. Yoongi found him.

The boy was back facing Yoongi. And the brown head suddenly didn’t know what to do when his soul mate was right in front of him again. Yoongi were looking back and forth at the boy’s back and his own shoes when suddenly the boy turned to him. He immediately gasped and widened his eyes when he saw Yoongi before him. Cute.

Yoongi wasn’t sure why the boy looked surprised. Was it because Yoongi standing behind him and it scared him? Or was it because he saw Yoongi again?

Yoongi paused for a while before greeted him. “Hello again.”

The boy frowned. “Uhm- hi?” He greeted back unsure.

Yoongi looked at his brown eyes and damn they’re indeed pretty. “Min Yoongi.” Yoongi said before his brain knew what he said.

“Hm?” The boy before him seemed didn’t get it either.

Yoongi coughed awkwardly. “My name. My name’s Min Yoongi.”

The boy looked at Yoongi’s eyes in silence for a moment before finally said. “Jimin- Park Jimin.”

Jimin.

Yoongi still locked Jimin pretty brown eyes with his. They were so beautiful and he wanted to look at them all day. . What was he thinking? What was his intention again? Oh right. He needed to apologize. “I’m sorry about last time.”

Jimin seemed to think about something. “There’s nothing to be sorry about.” He said and smiled a little.

It was done. Yoongi had apologized. Now he should leave. “I’m a junior. Are you a freshman?” Okay, maybe he still wanted to talk to Jimin longer.

Jimin took one of the books from the bookshelves on his right. Yoongi glanced at Jimin’s tattoo on his left wrist. Jimin then brought the book and started to walk. “I am.” He glanced at Yoongi who was starting to walk beside the younger. “What’s your major?” Jimin continued.

Yoongi followed Jimin who walked to the nearest table and sat down there. Yoongi sat himself down across him. “Music production.” Yoongi saw Jimin nodded and opened the book he took. “You?”

Jimin looked up for a while. “Dance.” He then continued to flip the pages of the book in front of him.

Yoongi didn’t know whether Jimin was normally that quiet and indifferent, or he was just not in a good mood, especially not in a good mood to talk to Yoongi. He couldn’t think of any other thing to say, because damn that’s too awkward. Yoongi’s eyes set on the book Jimin was reading. Maybe his presence was unwanted. And maybe it’s really the time for him to leave the younger alone.

“Yoongi-ssi?” Suddenly he heard Jimin was calling him, and it made Yoongi hummed and looked up to Jimin almost immediately. Almost. Jimin looked like were thinking about something and then said. “Is something happening? You look worried.”

Do I? Yoongi frowned, but didn’t answer. He soon turned and looked down the yard where many students spending their time through the window beside him. “Hey, there is a new coffee shop across this building. Do you want to go and grab some coffee?” Yoongi turned to Jimin as he said that.

Jimin looked up to Yoongi, he was thinking for a while. “I’m not really a coffee person.” Jimin closed the book before him. “But I would love to have some hot chocolate.” He smiled brighter this time.

“Then hot chocolate it is.” Yoongi mirrored Jimin’s smile.

“Uhm- anyway, call me ‘Hyung’.”

Jungkook POV

Wednesday, December 9th 2015; 11.21 PM

Jungkook was sitting on the white coach at the small living room in his shared apartment with Jimin. Jungkook was sitting in front of the TV. He was not really paying attention to the reality show played on the screen though. Well, he didn't even spare a glance at it.

The only reason Jungkook was sitting there was the particular chubby-cheeked boy who was sitting on his right. Yes, Jimin loved the show so much and wouldn't miss any single episode of it.

Jimin laughed at something on the TV. It’s quite rare now for Jungkook to see Jimin smiled sincerely and widely. Something was holding his smile. And Jungkook definitely knew what was it. It felt so wrong. And Jungkook couldn’t help but feel guilty about it.

Jungkook was still playing on his phone while glancing at Jimin every once in a while. Jungkook didn't mind spending time like this though. Both of them basically enjoyed each other's company.

Everyone would think that Jungkook and Jimin were dating. Looking at how they were watching over each other. Looking at how Jungkook would always hold Jimin's little hand. Looking at how Jimin would beam when Jungkook was around him. All the fond stares, and all the gentle touches. Some people even thought that they were soul mates. In fact, they weren't.

Jungkook was Jimin's best friend. They met when they were on the first grade of elementary school. Jungkook was the youngest in their class. He was younger by a year from everyone in his class. He was really shy back then. Jimin was the first one who approached him and introduced himself to Jungkook. After that, Jimin practically dragged Jungkook everywhere he went. Even when Jimin was running away from Busan a week after middle school graduation, the younger decided to come with Jimin.

Jungkook stopped playing with his phone and put it on the table. He then took Jimin's left hand and caressed the elder's wrist, which had the red tattoo on it, gently. Jungkook looked at his own grey tattoo; August 13th 2013.

It was a very cold Saturday night, four months before Jungkook supposed to meet his soul mate, Jungkook was in a deep slumber when a pain on his left wrist suddenly woke him up. His left wrist was burning and he hissed in pain. The pain was too much even his heart felt like stop working for three seconds and he could hardly breathe. Jungkook checked on his wrist immediately and found out that the date on his wrist had turned into grey. It meant one thing, his soul mate died at that moment. And Jungkook screamed.

Only five seconds later, Jimin had barged into his room. The elder saw him in a surprised and worried look. Jungkook could hardly see Jimin with his teary eyes he didn't even realize he was having. All he felt next was only warmth around his body. Jimin was standing by the bed and embracing him.

"I- I don't even meet my soul mate yet, hyung.” Jungkook spoke against Jimin's sweater. “Why is it so hurt?"

Jimin said nothing and the younger's hair slowly. He stayed there and lay beside Jungkook that night. They were embracing each other all night.

Jungkook clearly wouldn’t get a ‘Happily ever after’ life with his soul mate because the said soul mate did not even live anymore. But Jimin still had a chance to be happy with his soul mate, and Jungkook took it away. ‘Yea, you’re right. I’m Jimin’s boyfriend. My name is Jungkook. So, keep your distance.’ Those were the four sentences he said when he met Yoongi for the first time. Jimin didn’t know about that. And Yoongi didn’t know that it was a lie.

"Kookie?" Jimin's voice woke Jungkook up from the thought. The elder looked at Jungkook's hand which caressed his. "Were you thinking about something?"

Instead of answering, Jungkook took the remote and turned the TV off. He then pulled Jimin by the wrist. "Let's go to bed I'm tired." He stood up and dragged Jimin with him. "And I don't feel like sleeping on my own bed since it's in a big mess." He was walking straight into Jimin's room with Jimin following behind. "You're lucky you've got a handsome bed mate tonight.”

"Brat." Jimin chuckled.

Jimin POV

Thursday, February 27th 2014; 07.20 PM

Jimin was sitting in front of the big mirror in the dance studio alone. He was soaked. He had just danced for a couple of hours before he decided to take a rest.

Hoseok, a very nice sophomore from the same major of his, had been with Jimin before he left fifteen minutes ago. Hoseok was a very great dancer. He blended with the music beautifully when he was dancing. Jimin loved to learn from Hoseok. Although he knew Hoseok only for a little while, he had learnt that the elder was a very bright person.

Hoseok had a blue tattoo on his left wrist. It was not really a rare case now for someone to get a blue tattoo as their soul mate’s mark. Blue meant, that you had already met your soul mate before the tattoo appeared.

The tattoo usually appeared when someone was in between twelve until fifteen. And it was not impossible that the person had met their soul mate before that. And the result of that was a blue tattoo.

Before the tattoo appeared on his wrist, Jimin had hoped that he wouldn’t get the blue one because he wanted to experience the excitement, the anticipation, the happiness from meeting his soul mate for the first time. From the fire he could felt when the tattoo colour changed. Well, Jimin did experience those kinds of feeling, at least before the handsome boyfriend of his soul mate appeared.

Jimin didn’t really think about the soul mate matter again after his first encounter with Yoongi. Well, not really. No. He did cry on Jungkook’s chest for the entire five days mumbling about his broken relationship without even being built. And he sometimes would still thinking of how great if it didn’t end up badly. But he still spent the majority of his days happily with the help of his best friend.

After the second encounter though. Jimin started to think about Yoongi again. Because actually, Yoongi was indeed attractive and nice. From the second encounter, Jimin learnt that Yoongi was in music production major and loved to write songs. He had composed many lyrics and produced four songs in his three years study in university. That was incredible. And Jimin also learnt that Yoongi was from Daegu and he still spoke in dialect sometimes. Yoongi’s family were still in Daegu and he hardly visited them since he left the town.

The third encounter was only four days ago, when Jimin almost hadn’t thought about Yoongi any longer. It was another unexpected encounter for Jimin since Yoongi was somehow standing in front of Jimin’s class and smiled when he saw Jimin walking out the class. The elder said that he knew Jimin’s class from a sophomore friend in the dance major, who Jimin now had learnt to be Hoseok.

Jungkook had said that Jimin should be careful with Yoongi even though the brown-haired boy was his soul mate. Because the said soul mate had had a handsome boyfriend, and they apparently looked happy from what Jimin told Jungkook (Yea, Jungkook only knew them through Jimin’s story, and he never met them in person, yet). But still, when Yoongi was smiling before him and told Jimin that he knew a place which served delicious chocolate-banana ice cream, Jimin didn’t know whether he agreed to come because of the ice cream or because of Yoongi.

Jimin took his phone from the bag next to him, and unlocked it. There were notifications from two chat rooms. The first one was from Jungkook.

Choco Kookie: Jimin

Choco Kookie: Hyung

Choco Kookie: Jiminnie hyung

Choco Kookie: I’m done here

Choco Kookie: I’ll be there in ten

Choco Kookie: Don’t fall asleep

Choco Kookie: You’re heavy

Jimin laughed and even though Jimin knew that Jungkook would be there in no time since the younger sent the text 8 minutes ago, he still sent ‘Hurry up you ungrateful brat!’ as a reply. Jimin then opened the other text he got and found out it was from Yoongi.

Min Yoongi: I was walking downtown

Min Yoongi: and found this stray puppy

Min Yoongi: he reminds me of you

There was a picture of a cute white puppy sent by Yoongi. Jimin smiled and took a picture of himself, posing like the puppy (a hand was forming into a fist beside his cheek, the lips formed into a pout, and the doe-eyes looked at the camera innocently) and sent it to Yoongi. ‘Yea he reminds me of me too’, Jimin sent along with the picture. Yoongi replied the text unbelievably immediately.

Min Yoongi: Cute

Min Yoongi: Let’s have lunch together tomorrow

Min Yoongi: I mean only if you’re ok with that

It made Jimin blushed and frowned at the same time.

Let’s check on my schedule

....

Oh look I’m free

Ok then

Min Yoongi: Cool then

Min Yoongi: I’ll meet you in the yard in front of the library

Min Yoong : ok?

OK see you tomorrow ^o^)/

Jimin had just clicked ‘send’ when he heard the door was opened and revealed his best friend, Jungkook.

“Why are you smiling like an idiot?” Jungkook asked as he approached Jimin.

Jimin stood up, sent an unsure smile to the taller and gave his phone to him. Jungkook then read the conversation between Yoongi and Jimin.

Jungkook frowned and looked up from the phone to Jimin. “What the hell. Wha- What the actual does he want from you?!” Jungkook looked at Jimin, “He has a boyfriend, Jimin.”

“It’s just a friendly meeting that’s all.” Jimin spoke softly. It’s not that Jimin was being scared of Jungkook or what, he just wasn’t really sure either, of what he was doing right now. Or what he expected.

Jimin would surely expect for more than a friendship if he continue this. And Jimin would end up broken into smaller pieces, when he realized Yoongi had a person he was in love with already, who was definitely not Jimin. He was aware, and Jungkook was aware.

And Jungkook had seen Jimin cried because of Yoongi, for five full days to be exact, and that’s enough reason for Jungkook to hate Yoongi for the rest of his life and kept Jimin far-far away from him.

“Yea right.” Jungkook snorted. He shoved the phone to Jimin’s chest and the elder took it.

Jungkook then turned and walked to the door, without glancing at Jimin. Jimin sighed, grabbed his bag and followed the taller boy. Jimin was not really in a mood to coax the sulky Jungkook right now, so he just silently followed.

Jimin almost ran now. He tried to catch up with Jungkook who walked faster, and apparently Jimin’s shorter legs needed to work harder to catch the younger up. Jimin almost tripped on his own feet. It made him stopped abruptly. He saw Jungkook was now seven metres away from him. Jimin cursed under his breath.

Jungkook stopped and turned to Jimin. “Yah! What are you doing there?! The home wouldn’t find you if you’re only standing there like an idiot!”

“Yah! Don’t get too brave you Jeon Jungkook!!” Jimin yelled back.

Jimin ran and found himself standing next to the taller boy now. Jimin gave Jungkook a death glare which seemingly didn’t work well, because Jungkook only rolled his eyes.

Jungkook then sighed and took Jimin’s hand, interlocking it with his and started to walk. Jimin looked at their interlocked hands. He then smiled and walked with him.

“At least walk slower, Kookie.” Jimin patted Jungkook’s elbow with his free hand gently.

Jungkook slowed down his steps. “I’ll come with you tomorrow.” He said.

Jimin smiled to Jungkook and nodded.

Yoongi POV

Friday, February 28th 2014; 11.42 PM

Yoongi’s class would be done in eight minutes. The brown head stared at his phone. He’d just got a text from Seokjin, the sweet Seokjin, reminding Yoongi to have a proper lunch after his class.

And it made Yoongi felt bad because Seokjin still didn’t know that Yoongi had been meeting Jimin several times after the first encounter. Yoongi had managed to assure Seokjin that he didn’t really care about his soul mate. Well, he said that more to assure himself actually. Yoongi wasn’t really sure himself that he didn’t care about Jimin.

Seokjin was just too sweet to be broken. Seokjin had always been so kind all this time, and Yoongi didn’t wanna break him. And Yoongi was only trying to be friends with Jimin after all, not more than that. It would hurt nobody, so everything’s okay.

Yoongi sighed and looked up from his phone. He saw all his class mates were starting to get up from their seats and made their way out. He realized that the class had been dismissed, so he took his bag and got up from his seat.

Yoongi walked down the hallway without let himself think about anything. He didn’t want to think much about it. He walked straight to the library yard, because he told Jimin to meet him there.

Yoongi was looking the two figures from afar. But it’s enough for Yoongi to recognize him. It was definitely Jimin, his soul mate, and he was not alone. Jimin was with a brown-haired boy, who looked as young as Jimin, and the boy was strikingly good looking with his doe-eyes and bunny teeth.

There was not something unusual between them. Except, they were sitting side by side on a bench, and the boy talked about something that made Jimin laughed brightly. And Jimin was too clingy for Yoongi’s liking. The boy, despite he was trying to detach himself from Jimin, he didn’t seem mind too much of Jimin clinging onto him.

Yoongi felt a pang on his chest. And Yoongi was unfamiliar with the mixed feelings he was now having. He didn’t know how he should deal with that. Well, it looked good though. So, he had a boyfriend, and he didn’t need to worry about his soul mate because hey, his soul mate in fact had a handsome boyfriend too.

But Yoongi was not sure that he still wanted to have lunch after this, especially with Jimin and his good looking boyfriend. Yoongi wanted to throw up now, and he didn’t know why. He felt sick. And every time he looked at Jimin and his boyfriend, he felt even sicker. So that’s why he backed out.

Jimin POV

Early June 2014; 01.13 PM

It had been three months since Jimin heard from Yoongi. Jimin was not really angry that the elder stood him up that day. Jimin thought that maybe Yoongi suddenly had to do something really urgent and couldn’t make it. Jimin was just upset of the fact that Yoongi hadn’t explained a thing after that. Yoongi didn’t even answered his calls or replied his texts. Well eventhough they barely knew each other, Jimin still deserved an explanation, didn’t he?

Jungkook had said that Jimin’s soul mate was a very mean person and didn’t deserve even a fingertip of Jimin. And Jimin didn’t really argue on that because he only knew little things about Yoongi and yet Yoongi apparently had hurt Jimin twice.

The first one was at their very first meeting. At the day that Jimin had waited his entire life for it. Maybe Yoongi had not waited for that very moment, unlike Jimin. And maybe he had never anticipated it, definitely unlike Jimin.

The second time had happened since three months ago and still counting. After Yoongi made Jimin thought that the elder was quite nice and wanted to at least befriend with Jimin, he was suddenly disappeared from Jimin’s life again. Like, seriously? Why in the freaking world he made up with Jimin in the first place? To only tossed Jimin on the ground again?

Jimin was sitting alone in some table near the corner in the quiet library. He was scribbling something on his journal. Yes, journal. Journal was something really common for everyone to have.

It was usually taught by their parents to have a journal and write everything neatly. The date, and who was someone new that he met on the day. It was originally made for solving problem of meeting their soul mates before the tattoo appeared, like Hoseok case. Sometimes, someone would stop writing after they met their soul mates, and sometimes they kept writing.

Well, as for Jimin himself, he didn’t learn to write journals from his own parents. Jungkook parents taught him and Jungkook since the two could barely spell correctly. Jimin sometimes wrote about his parents’ fight with each other. About him being their object of rage sometimes. And Jimin and Jungkook always let the younger’s parents to read their journals. That’s why Jungkook parents also knew everything.

Jimin suddenly felt a presence of someone across him. Jimin looked up from his journal and met a expression-less Yoongi was sitting before him. Jimin widened his eyes.

“Am I that scary?” Jimin heard Yoongi said, but Jimin couldn’t really utter anything at the moment.

Jimin could only looked at Yoongi while the elder was also looking at him intensely. Yoongi looked so handsome today. Well, Yoongi looked handsome all the time.

“I also still write on my journal. It pretty much becomes a habit, doesn’t it?” Yoongi asked again.

Jimin glanced at his journal before him. “I think so.”

“I sometimes even write my lyrics on them.” Yoongi folded his arms on the table.

“Oh yea. You produce songs.” Jimin was not sure how to answer it. Well, Yoongi appeared out of nowhere, definitely when Jimin was not thinking about him, definitely not. Definitely not thinking about his husky voice. Definitely not thinking about his messy brown hair. Definitely not thinking about his pretty skin. And definitely not even thinking about his thin pink lips.

“I do.” Yoongi was the type of not breaking eye-contact when he was speaking, it seems.

“I’ve never really good with words.” Jimin decided to look at the handsome Yoongi in the eyes too. And he could feel his heart skipped two beats.

“I don’t know about myself. I always make the circumstances heavy around me when I decide to say something.” Yoongi made a face like he was about to pout. “Everyone says I’m a deep person.”

Jimin cleared his throat. “Well, it’s better than make things awkward for sure.”

“No, you don’t.” Yoongi still looked at Jimin in the eyes. And the gaze was warm and loving, it made Jimin drowned into it. And it made Jimin could hardly breathe.

“I do, unfortunately.” Jimin decided to break the eye contact because he needed to breathe apparently.

There was a silence between them before Yoongi said. “I did something bad. But I don’t want you to think bad about me.”

Jimin turned to look at Yoongi again. “I don’t know what I think about you.”

Yoongi paused for a little while and looked at Jimin’s brown eyes deeply. “Sounds worse.” He answered finally. Yoongi took a deep breath and looked at his folded arms. “I’m sorry.”

Yoongi looked really sorry about it, and Jimin didn’t know how to not forgive him. “It’s fine.” Jimin smiled. Jungkook said that Jimin shouldn’t trust Yoongi again. But nothing’s wrong in forgiving, right?

Yoongi smiled unsurely.

“You should see me perform my songs sometime.” The elder spoke after a long silence. The silence which was neither comfortable nor awkward.

“Really?” Jimin was beaming. “I- I’d love too.”

Yoongi was finally smiling his gummy smile, and it was the most handsome smile that Jimin had ever seen. It made him grinned equally wide.

They were talking for a quite while when Jimin saw Jungkook was approaching them.

Jimin sent a smile for his best friend, which wasn’t mirrored by the younger.

Jungkook was standing next to them now. He frowned at Yoongi, and Jimin saw Jungkook glanced at Yoongi’s left wrist. “Hyung, Is he a friend of yours? I believe you haven’t introduced me to him.”

Jimin looked up at Jungkook, and then turned to Yoongi. “Uhm- Kookie, this is Yoongi hyung. Yoongi hyung this is Kooki- uhm- Jungkook.”

Jungkook bowed and smiled to Yoongi. A smile that Jimin knew was not that sincere. And Jimin saw Yoongi also bowed and smiled in his seat.

“Jiminnie hyung, I believe you have a class in ten. I’ll wait for you here and keep your friend company for a little while.” Jungkook looked at Jimin and Jimin knew what that means. Jungkook wanted to talk with Yoongi. Jimin didn’t mind that because Jungkook was practically his brother and he trusted Jungkook. So everything that Jungkook would say, it was for the best, wasn’t it?

After looking at Yoongi for a little while, Jimin then stood up. “See you, Yoongi hyung.” He smiled to the eldest among the three and left Yoongi with Jungkook.

Yoongi POV

Middle of April 2015; 06.30 PM

It was their nth time hanging out as a whole after the six of them knew each other for a quite while. It’s pretty strange of how easy the six of them became close so easily, it’s like they were belong together since the very beginning.

Well, even though Yoongi still did not get along quite well with Jungkook, they still managed to communicate like friends should do. And Jungkook would definitely be a person Yoongi liked to hang out with if he wasn’t busy being a jerk. Like, right now.

Yoongi was about approaching Jimin on the balcony when suddenly Jungkook appeared out of nowhere and wrapped his strong arms around Jimin’s smaller figure. Yoongi silently hoped that his soul mate would shove Jungkook, but no –well of course not, why would Jimin shove his boyfriend anyway?— Jimin embraced Jungkook back tightly instead. Yoongi felt like throwing up.

And even though he couldn’t see Jungkook’s face from his spot, Yoongi could almost feel Jungkook was smirking right now.

Yoongi glanced at Jimin’s wrist from a far and saw the same tattoo as his on it, and apparently it made Yoongi couldn’t stop thinking that Jimin was his. Well, Jimin was indeed his soul mate though. While at the same time, Jimin wasn’t his.

Yoongi had to be accustomed by now. He had seen Jungkook and Jimin being all touchy and lovey dovey. Yet he still couldn’t get used to it.

Yoongi actually had learnt that Jimin was generally touchy and clingy. Jimin was being so clingy to him sometimes, even when Jungkook was also around. Yoongi always –unwillingly- shoved Jimin from him when the younger got clingy, just because Yoongi had a friendship to be kept. And just because Yoongi didn’t want to be drown into his own feeling.

Yoongi still staring at the couple, who were now standing side by side in front of the railing, when someone touched his shoulder.

Yoongi turned and found Seokjin was smiling beside him.

“You better take a rest, Yoongi.” Seokjin spoke to him. He gave Yoongi one of the cups of coffee he was holding. “Namjoon and Hoseok were also taking some rest now.”

Yoongi sighed and sipped his coffee. He looked at Jungkook’s somehow familiar tattoo. “Jungkook’s tattoo is grey.”

Seokjin looked at the same direction as Yoongi. “Yea. I realized it since the first time I met him.” Seokjin sighed, “Poor him.”

“Well, he has Jimin—“ my soul mate “Lucky him.”

Seokjin smiled. “Are you jealous?”

Yoongi turned and looked at Seokjin, “It could hardly work if Jungkook had red mark too. But his is grey. It would work.” Yoongi had seen some couples, which were not soul mates, couldn’t work their relationship out, only if both of the people in the relationship had red marks, meant that their actual soul mates still alive and well.

Seokjin turned to look at Yoongi, “Jungkook is—” Seokjin bit his lower lip. He looked like, he was preventing himself from saying something. He then cleared his throat, “Just be yourself around Jungkook, okay? Don’t dislike him.”

Yoongi frowned. He knew Seokjin was keeping something, but he thought that he didn’t really need to know. “Well, surprisingly, I cannot dislike him.” Yoongi said. “He is one of my best friends. And he is a cute little brother even though I cannot really get close to him. And—” Yoongi turned to the two figures who were still standing shoulder by shoulder on the balcony. “And he always protects my sou—uhm Jimin. He always protects Jimin and makes Jimin happy. Why would I dislike him?” Yoongi smiled. He was brushing the pang in his chest off.

“Good then.” Seokjin smiled beautifully and turned to the two figures whom Yoongi was looking at. “Be patient. I believe everything would come back into the right slot eventually.”

Yoongi looked at Seokjin and frowned.

Jimin POV

Thursday, December 10th 2015; 12.55 AM

Jimin and Jungkook were on Jimin's small bed. They had been lying there, side by side, for an hour in silence now. They had drowned in their own mind for the last hour.

"I think Yoongi hyung likes you." Jungkook finally broke the silence.

"Don't be ridiculous." Jimin indeed had been thinking about Yoongi even before Jungkook brought it up. Did Jungkook read minds now?

"He wouldn't like me. Well, at least it wouldn’t more than a brotherly like. He had said that himself." Jimin had heard Yoongi said it to Jimin when the elder thought he was asleep. Jimin sighed and turned swiftly to lie on his side so that he could face Jungkook. “Like you and me, Kookie. Brotherly love.” Jimin smiled to the younger.

Jungkook turned swiftly and lie on his side, and now they were face to face. "I saw the way he looked at you." Jungkook Jimin's hair slowly. “It’s not the same.”

Jimin sighed. He took Jungkook's left wrist and saw the grey tattoo there. Jimin was lucky enough. He was still able to meet his soul mate and to even befriend with him, well, even though Jimin surely wanted more than that, Jimin was still lucky. And Jungkook, his beloved best friend, didn’t even have a chance to meet his soul mate.

Jimin clearly remembered when Jungkook got his tattoo five weeks after him.

"What? You’ve got the tattoo?" Jimin pulled the younger's wrist and looked at the black mark, "August 13th 2013? Geez! And you even would meet your soul mate before I meet mine! Like, four months before me! That’s unfair.” Jimin still stared at Jungkook’s wrist. “Well, that's still cool though." Jimin suddenly beamed. “Let’s prepare yourself!”

"What? What are you talking about? There’s nothing to be prepared. And I don't really care about this." Jungkook shrugged.

"Liar." Jimin punched the younger's upper arm lightly. "You're blushing, you know?"

Jungkook pulled his hand from Jimin. He then groaned and buried his face in his two hands.

"Aww cute. Little Jungkookie is blushing thinking about his soul mate." Jimin laughed. He tried to pull Jungkook's hands from covering his blushing face.

"Urgh- you're so noisy." Jungkook tried to cover his ears now. He saw Jimin laughing hard in front of him. He then looked at his new-marked wrist and couldn't help but smile.

Jimin didn't wrong. Jungkook was indeed looking forward to meet his soul mate. But he wasn't lucky enough though.

"Jiminnie?"

Jungkook's voice sent Jimin back from the thought.

"You saw the way he looked at me?" Jimin looked up to see Jungkook's eyes. He saw the younger nodded.

“It’s not the same, hyung. I know how we look at each other, and I know how you two look at each other.” Jungkook said.

Jimin was not sure. He had believed that Yoongi never thought of Jimin in any romantic way. Jimin thought that Yoongi would open his heart for him after he broke up with Seokjin, but Yoongi didn’t.

Well, it didn’t stop Jimin to befriend with Yoongi nonetheless. Whether with Jungkook or just the two of them, they had been hanging out quite often. Jimin sometimes even brought Yoongi some home-made meal when the older was working in his studio. And Yoongi sometimes returned the favour by treating the younger his favourite drink or ice cream.

Jimin had a strong belief that Yoongi had been obviously keeping his distance with Jimin this entire time. Sometimes when Jimin was spending his Friday evening in Yoongi’s apartment to watch old movies, the chubby cheeked dancer would try to cuddle with Yoongi only to be shoved by the elder. And sometimes after his tiring dance practice, Yoongi would ruffle his hair and said ‘You’ve worked hard’, but when Jimin smiled at him and leaned onto the touch, Yoongi would stiffen and abruptly pull his hand away.

So, it’s quite obvious for Jimin that his love was one-sided. Jimin sighed.

“It’s my fault.” Jungkook suddenly said. “I’m sorry.”

“What?” Jimin frowned. “No, it’s not anyone’s fault. It’s simply a one-sided love problem, that’s all.”

Jungkook seemed like he didn’t care of what Jimin had just said. “I promise I’ll fix this, hyung.” He looked at Jimin and the elder’s cheek softly. “I promise”

Jimin only looked at his best friend curiously.

Yoongi POV

Saturday, September 12th 2015; 07.34 PM

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!” Everyone was shouting when the light was .

Namjoon who was standing in front of Yoongi turned to look at the elder behind him. “So this is why Yoongi hyung had insisted to come along to my place.” Namjoon spoke loudly before he turned and approached everyone with a bright smile.

Yoongi only rolled his eyes at the comment. He saw everyone was wearing a colourful paper hat and they were now singing ‘Happy birthday’ song, including the birthday boy, Namjoon. Seokjin looked truly happy and it made Yoongi smile.

Yoongi knew that Seokjin had invited Jimin, Jungkook, and Hoseok too. It made Yoongi suddenly thought of his friends, and how they knew each other.

Hoseok was Namjoon’s and Yoongi’s best friend from Choreography and Dance performance Department. They became closer after Hoseok introduced himself as Suga and Rap monster’s fan, and apparently the dancer was a very nice person who liked to rap too.

As for Jimin, Seokjin and Namjoon had known Jimin for a while now. It started when Jimin came along with Yoongi when the rapper went to the nightclub he usually performed his rap.

They met Seokjin and Namjoon there. Yoongi introduced Jimin to them, and they shared a table with the couple. Yoongi wasn’t really surprised that Jimin befriended with Seokjin and Namjoon after that encounter. Yoongi even felt that Seokjin and Namjoon were Jimin biased by then.

And with Jimin, came along Jungkook, the youngest among them. Jungkook was in Vocal Music Major. He was also undeniably likeable. Not only strikingly good looking, Jungkook was also very smart and talented. He could do almost everything that was taught to him.

The six of them were so close now, they were basically family. And even though Yoongi, Namjoon, and Seokjin had graduated from university –and had a full time job-, they would still have some time to gather and hang out on the weekend.

Yoongi loved his friends. Now all of them looked so happy while singing and clapping. Yoongi approached them and sang along. Yoongi was also very happy. He was thinking of how precious his friends were.

Yoongi was sitting on the coach while looking at the TV in front of him. They had had their birthday meal and some drink before they were chatting and playing some ridiculous games. But now was nearly quiet. Yoongi looked around him and saw Namjoon and Seokjin were lying on the other coach beside the one he sat on. The couple were hugging each other, and they were asleep soundly.

Yoongi looked on the carpet before him and saw Jungkook and Hoseok were also asleep, the younger’s head was on Hoseok’s stomach. Yoongi couldn’t believe that they fell asleep that fast. Yoongi was sure that the two had just played some multiplication table game, which Yoongi found was funny because both of them at that. Yoongi unconsciously smiled.

“Hyung?”

Yoongi turned to his side and found Jimin was looking up at him curiously. Oh yeah, Jimin. Jimin was sitting beside him and placed his head in between Yoongi’s chest and shoulder, while Yoongi’s hand was embracing the younger’s shoulder. And the position made Yoongi’s face was mere inches apart from Jimin.

Yoongi looked at Jimin’s pretty brown eyes and pretty pink cheeks. Jimin was still looking at him with his stupidly pretty face and messy light-brown hair. Yoongi reached out and Jimin’s hair.

“Don’t you wanna sleep too, hyung?” the younger asked.

Yoongi was barely aware that their position could cause a problem in their friendship. Yoongi knew that Jimin’s boyfriend was here too, in this very room too, lying right before them. But Yoongi put aside every guilt he felt. Yoongi would treasure this rare moment because his pretty soul mate, whom he always wanted to protect, was now in his embrace and looking only at him.

Yoongi leaned and kissed Jimin’s forehead gently. Yoongi held it for three seconds before he pulled away. “I will. You should sleep too. You have a dance class to teach tomorrow, right?” He said, remembering Jimin of his part time job.

Jimin smiled and nodded. “Let’s sleep.”

Jimin fixed his position to be more comfortable beside Yoongi. He put his legs on the wooden table in front of the coach. Yoongi did the same without releasing Jimin from his embrace.

Yoongi looked as Jimin slowly fell asleep beside him. Yoongi caressed Jimin’s silky locks. Yoongi looked at Jimin’s sleeping face. And then turned to Jimin’s tattoo which was formed on his wrist like a bracelet.

“I will always protect you.” Yoongi said before his brain processed the words. “I mean like- hm- like a brother. Yea that’s what I mean.” Yoongi quickly clarified, even though he knew that everyone was sleeping right now and Yoongi was practically talking to himself.

Yoongi sighed loudly and closed his eyes to sleep his worried away.

Jungkook POV

Friday, December 11th 2015; 07.00 PM

Jungkook knocked on the door of Yoongi’s private studio. He heard a soft ‘Come in’ before he turned the knob and opened the door. Jungkook entered the studio and closed the door behind him.

Jungkook saw Yoongi was sitting on his swivel chair in front of his computer. The elder turned around when he heard the door was closed behind him. Yoongi seemed to look behind Jungkook to look for something- or someone.

“You’re alone?”

Jungkook wasn’t even surprised that it was the first question Yoongi sent to him. “Yea, I’ve walked Jimin hyung home before I went here.” Jungkook sat down on the sofa next to Yoongi’s seat.

Yoongi nodded. Probably was thinking of how awkward it would be. Jungkook and Yoongi had only been alone for several recording projects before. Either it was Yoongi’s or Jungkook’s project. And they would go straight to work on the project without too much talk. And if they weren’t on a project, Jimin and their group of friends had always been with them.

Jungkook had said to Jimin that he would meet Hoseok instead of Yoongi, so that Jimin wouldn’t insist to come along. Jungkook had something to talk about with Yoongi, and he didn’t really want Jimin to know.

“Hyung, You like Jimin hyung, don’t you?”

Yoongi looked a little surprised before he was back on his usual indifferent expression. “He’s one of my close friends. Of course I like him.”

“Okay, I’ll change the question then.” Jungkook looked at Yoongi. “Are you in love with Jimin hyung?”

Yoongi widened his eyes. “What? What are you talking about?”

Jungkook sighed. He really needed to do this for Jimin’s happiness. “I’m sorry I’ve lied to you, hyung.”

Yoongi only looked at him in a questioned look.

“I’m not Jimin hyung’s boyfriend. I’ve never been.” Jungkook turned to look at the table in front of him. He wasn’t ready to look at Yoongi. “I said that to keep you away from him.”

Jungkook still didn’t hear any reaction from the green head. So Jungkook continued. “I love him, hyung. He’s more than a best friend to me. He’s a brother.” He still didn’t look at Yoongi. “I was just trying to protect him. I don’t wanna him to get hurt, and I didn’t trust you enough.”

Yoongi frowned. “You didn’t trust me?”

Jungkook turned to look at Yoongi. He was ready for Yoongi to yell at him for lying to him all this time, not to ask him a question in an unsure tone.

“Yea, well, I don’t think I would be able to trust anyone to take care of Jimin hyung, but yea I didn’t trust you. You made him cry, hyung. Twice.” Jungkook saw Yoongi frowned again. “The first time was when he met you for the first time. You left him and made out with your boyfriend, right in front of his very eyes. For ’s sake, he had been waiting to meet you his entire life, hyung. He thought it would be a special day for him. How could you do that?!” Jungkook’s voice rose.

Yoongi set his eyes on Jungkook’s shoes now. He seemed to think about something.

Jungkook sighed. “And the second time was when you stood him up in the library’s yard. You asked him to have lunch together. He was very excited to meet you and to introduce you to me. But you didn’t show up. And you didn’t even answer his texts and calls. He believed that you were just being late. And he was waiting for you for four hours before I knocked some sense on him and he agreed to leave.”

Jungkook looked up to the ceiling and then closed his eyes. Jungkook remembered he left Jimin to attend his class, and Jimin said that he would leave for some classes too, ‘Just five more minutes’ Jimin said. With that Jungkook left. And he wasn’t really surprised to see Jimin was still sitting there when he came back to the yard after his class. Jimin missed his classes. “He smiled, but I saw the tears in his eyes. And you disappeared for three months after that. You made him thinking about you and then you just disappeared like that. That’s rude, hyung.”

Jungkook sighed.

“I- I’m sorry.” He heard Yoongi spoke.

Jungkook turned to look at Yoongi and saw Yoongi’s eyes were full of questions and sadness. “Yea. I’m sorry too, hyung. I also the one to blame for making Jimin hyung hasn’t found his happiness until now.”

Jimin hadn’t found his happiness? Yoongi took a deep breath. “I love him so much, Jungkook. All I ever want for him is happiness. I won’t promise that I wouldn’t hurt him, but if I did, believe me that I’ve never meant to hurt him, and I would never mean to.”

Jungkook looked at Yoongi and gave the elder a little smile. “I saw the way you looked at Jimin hyung. That’s why I trust you. Now I think that you wouldn’t hurt him. I trust you enough now, hyung.”

Yoongi looked at Jungkook in a questioned look. “How did the way I look at him?”

The younger smiled. “Full of adoration and honesty. It’s like he was the only one that mattered.” Jungkook said. He couldn’t help but think that how nice it would be, if there was someone who looked at him just like the way Yoongi looked at Jimin, and the way Jimin looked at Yoongi. But Jungkook would never be able to feel it, would he?

“Yea he indeed is.” Yoongi smiled.

There was a thoughtful silence between them before Jungkook stretched his arms and yawned. “Hyung, I’m not in a mood for recording right now. What about having some coffee?”

“Sounds perfect.”

Jimin POV

Tuesday, December 22nd 2015; 10.58 AM

It was an unexpected trip for Jimin since Yoongi had just told him about it two days ago. Jimin had always convinced Yoongi to spend his holiday in Daegu to meet his family, but Yoongi prefer to find some job and work his out on holidays. Jimin was not really the one to tell though. He did the same on his holidays. And also, he wasn’t ready to go back to Busan, yet.

So when Yoongi said that he would spend this Christmas in Daegu, Jimin was kind of surprised. And guess what, he even asked Jimin and Jungkook to come along, surprise surprise.

So now, Jimin found himself was packing his clothes because they would leave tomorrow morning. Jimin hadn’t seen Jungkook packed his clothes yet, maybe he was even still asleep now. Last night Jungkook had spent the night with Yoongi and Namjoon to work on some song. It’s really great to see that Jungkook could finally take some part in the record label where Yoongi and Namjoon were working.

And it’s great to see Jungkook and Yoongi, two people that Jimin loved the most, finally got along well. Jimin noticed that Jungkook and Yoongi talked more now. Even though the six of them were close friends, but there was always some brick wall between Jungkook and Yoongi that made the two couldn’t really get along.

It seemed that the wall was broken down somehow, because they didn’t get awkward around each other now, and they spent more time together now. Even without Jimin and even without the others. And Jimin couldn’t be more grateful than that. Now the three of them would even spend the Christmas together with Yoongi’s family in Daegu.

Family-time seemed would be the theme for their Christmas celebration this year. Because Namjoon and Seokjin would also go to Gwacheon and spend their Christmas with Seokjin’s family. And Hoseok would also go home to Gwangju for Christmas.

Jimin was folding his favourite blue sweater when he heard someone knocked on his apartment door. Jimin put the sweater on his bed and got up immediately. He approached the front door excitedly because he knew who he would meet on the door.

Jimin pushed the door open and it was indeed the person that he had been waiting.

Jimin saw the pastel-green haired rapper was now standing in front of the door. Yoongi was wearing grey pullover, grey coat, black trousers, and black scarf. He even wore glasses, and damn, Jimin had to control himself to not to squeal by the handsome figure before him.

“Hi, hyung.” Jimin finally said, holding himself from smiling too brightly.

They were going to look for some presents for Yoongi’s family in Daegu. Yoongi was asking for Jimin’s help to find proper presents. As for Jimin himself, he had gotten the presents for both Yoongi and Jungkook.

“Are you ready?” Yoongi asked.

“Let me take my scarf, and then we could leave.” Jimin was still smiling too wide and he didn’t know how to stop that.

“Sure.”

It was early in the evening now as Yoongi and Jimin were sitting in a nearby cafe. They had found all the presents for Yoongi’s family and all the things that they would need on the trip. Jimin also had convinced Yoongi to buy some Christmas merchs with them. And now they were even wearing matching reindeer head bands. Just another thing that Jimin insisted Yoongi to do.

Jimin even took some pictures of them with the head bands and sent some of them in their group chat. Namjoon and Hoseok undoubtedly laughed their asses out right away. Even though Jimin could only saw it through some silly stickers they sent. Seokjin commented of how adorable they were. And Jungkook gave ‘Wow Yoongi hyung, what is it that Jiminnie insisted you to wear? You look silly.’ as a comment. Which Jimin replied with ‘Don’t worry Kookie. I’ve got one for you too’. And Jimin laughed when Jungkook sent a shocked face of cartoon Iron Man as a reply.

Yoongi and Jimin chose to sit near the window and sat face to face. Jimin placed his phone on the table and turned to look outside through the window beside him. He saw the side walk was still crowded since it was winter holiday. And Jimin was sure that many people were shopping for Christmas.

Suddenly there was a couple that caught Jimin’s attention. Jimin saw a young couple walked slowly on the sidewalk. They wore scarfs and thick coats to protect them from the cold winter at that beautiful evening. The girl suddenly held the boy’s arm shyly. Then the boy, who was five centimetres taller, looked at the girl and smiled to her. The girl then mirrored it with hers. They suddenly stopped walking. They soon lost in their own world with a deep-soft kiss.

Jimin saw that in a dazed. He then turned quickly to Yoongi who was sitting in front of him and still focused on his phone. Yoongi didn’t notice what happened around him at the moment. Jimin looked at the green-haired boy in front of him. He looked at his thin lips and he suddenly thought of something that only God knows what. And whatever that was, it made his cheeks blushed.

Yoongi suddenly glanced at Jimin, “What?” He asked then sipped his Americano.

Jimin widened his eyes, “No- nothing.” He answered immediately. He tried to calm himself down and didn’t stare at Yoongi’s pink lips which even looked more pretty when the rapper was talking.

Jimin didn’t want his love for Yoongi overwhelm him. Because Jimin knew that Yoongi was always trying to keep their distance. Keeping them in a friend zone, a safe zone. But recently, Jimin felt that Yoongi didn’t try to keep their distance anymore. Since the elder got closer to Jungkook. He also went with Jimin with the flow. He let Jimin clung onto him, and he let himself touched Jimin freely. Jimin didn’t mind it, at all. Yet he still couldn’t really understand what had happened. That’s why he still tried to be not too overwhelmed by his deep feeling towards his soul mate.

Yoongi frowned and narrowed his eyes.

Jimin cleared his throat and then asked, “So, how are you feeling of going back to Daegu, hyung?” It’s obvious that he wanted to change the topic. And he knew that Yoongi was aware of that, but the elder still answered anyway.

“Nervous, mostly. You know, it’s been two years.”

“It’s gonna be okay, hyung. They have been waiting for you to come home. They are your family. And now you’re gonna see them again. I know you’ve missed them” Jimin sent a smile to Yoongi.

“Yea, I’ve missed them, unexpectedly.” Yoongi smiled to Jimin. “What about you? Do you—miss your family?”

“Well, if you mean my parents-- not really. No.” Jimin sighed. It’s about time Yoongi would know about this anyway.

“My family is Jungkook, hyung. And his parents. Jungkook’s parents love me like their own son. We’ve known each other since forever. They treated me really well. I could feel being loved too.” Jimin fiddled with his fingers.

“That’s when Jungkook and I were still in elementary school though. After that when their business went larger, they were barely home. They were always working, and even went abroad for business trip most of the times. But they always provided money for Jungkook, and even me. Because they knew I barely got them from my own parents.” Jimin looked at Yoongi’s eyes.

Jimin could still remember his own parents’ equally red tattoos on their wrists, yet different dates which were formed. Jimin’s parents were not soul mate. And at least Jungkook’s parents were.

“The funny thing is, they didn’t even realize Jungkook and I had moved to Seoul at first. They realized it after a couple of months.” Jimin continued.

“Wow.” Yoongi finally spoke something.

“Yea, wow.” Jimin smiled from the thought of Jungkook’s parents. “They didn’t get angry when they found out. Instead they apologized to us for not being around. They still provided money for us after that, and they even visited us when they had some business in Seoul.”

Yoongi looked at Jimin and took a deep breath. “I’m glad that you have Jungkook and his parents. And now, you have me and the others too. We’re your family too.” Yoongi reached for his hand on the table and squeezed it.

Jimin looked at their hands and blushed. “Yes, hyung. And I’m so grateful for that.” Jimin smiled sincerely. I’m so grateful that you’re my soul mate.

Yoongi POV

Saturday, December 26th 2015; 03.01 PM

Yoongi and Jimin were sitting on the porch of Yoongi’s house. It was the third day they had been in Daegu. Despite the nervousness Yoongi felt earlier, things actually were gone pretty well. In fact, they were having a lot of fun.

Yoongi’s parents were welcoming them warmly. Yoongi’s father smiled and patted Yoongi’s shoulder, as if he was saying ‘I’m so proud of you, son’ in his touch. And Yoongi could understand. And Yoongi’s mother, she hugged them one by one, and she even hugged Jimin more after she looked at Jimin’s tattoo. ‘Oh my God, sweetheart. You are my Yoongi’s soul mate! Oh my God!’, she even screamed happily.

Yea, the things really mattered now were soul mate indeed. It’s like everyone knew that you wouldn’t find your truly happiness without your soul mate. You would be able to face the world better with your soul mate beside you. So, finding them and being with them were a treasure. And Yoongi’s parents themselves were soul mate.

Now Yoongi and Jimin were only sitting with a can of coke in one of their hands. Yoongi thought of how content he was now, and he smiled.

“Hyung?” Jimin looked at Yoongi curiously.

“Yea?” Yoongi looked at the cute Jimin next to him. They were now sitting side by side, and left no space between them.

“Why are you smiling?” Jimin still looked at him with his pretty brown eyes.

Yoongi studied Jimin’s face. It was definitely not the first time Yoongi did that. Not even the second, not the third. It was the nth time, yet Yoongi still couldn’t get over it. And he would never.

Jimin still had those innocent doe-eyes, which Yoongi was always drowned into. He had his not-so-chubby soft cheeks, which Yoongi wanted to touch every second in his life. And he still had the pink plump kissable lips, which Yoongi always wanted to taste so badly. And all of them plus the fluffy goldish-orange hair he had, they made him looked like an angel. And the angel now was looking only at him, and it made his heart beat faster.

Yoongi placed the can he was holding next to him, and then he took the can Jimin was holding and placed it beside the other can.

Yoongi cleared his throat, and held Jimin’s hands. “Hmm Jimin-“

Yoongi took a deep breath and locked the younger eyes with his. “I’m- uhm-“

Damn. It’s indeed hard to say the words, especially when Jimin was looking at him innocently and curiously. Damn those pretty eyes. Damn that cute face.

Yoongi took a very-very deep breath now. “I’m in love with you, Jimin. I have always been in love with you.”

Jimin widened his eyes. It made Yoongi even more nervous. He saw Jimin’s blushed beautifully. The younger didn’t say anything yet, when he suddenly pulled Yoongi into his warm hug.

“I- I’ve always been in love with you too, hyung.” Jimin mumbled into Yoongi’s jacket.

Yoongi smiled at how cute Jimin was. He pulled back from the embrace and looked at Jimin’s face warmly, and Yoongi saw Jimin glanced at his lips. And the younger’s cheeks still tinted in pink.

Yoongi’s heart beat faster. He then leaned forward and their lips finally met.

Yoongi kissed the younger’s plump lips gently and carefully. He saw Jimin closed his eyes, and he closed his too, only to savour the kiss. Jimin’s lips were in fact so sweet and so soft. He wondered why he could stand to not to kiss his angel-like soul mate this entire time. Yoongi could feel the younger pulled his jacket to deepen their breathless kiss. Yoongi could hear the younger’s soft moan between the kisses. The voice was also sweet. Jimin was definitely an angel.

Yoongi pulled back first. He then looked at Jimin and caressed his tender cheek softly. Jimin was still clutching onto his Jacket. Jimin’s lips were puffy and they opened slightly. And the younger was still staring at Yoongi’s lips with his hooded eyes, maybe he was expecting more kisses.

Yoongi smiled by that. Jimin was indeed endearing. “Thank you for being here with me.” He leaned closer and pecked Jimin’s forehead.

Jimin also smiled. The prettiest smile he had ever seen. “I’m glad to be with you.” He said.

Yoongi then pulled his soul mate into his embrace and patted the sweet-scented orange hair.

“So, everything would be different between us from now on, right, hyung? A good different.” Jimin asked expectantly.

The green-head was patting the boy before him lovingly. “Yes, of course, my baby-” my angel. “Everything will turn out to be better.”

Yoongi was hugging Jimin for a quite while when he heard a voice from behind them. “Am I interrupting something?” Jungkook asked and looked at the two people in front of him.

Yoongi and Jimin didn’t bother to answer. They pulled back from the hug and looked at each other’s eyes.

“Ok, it looks like I am.” Jungkook answered the question by himself. “I hope you wouldn’t too mind I join you two though, because I’m dead bored right now, so deal with me.” Jungkook grinned and about to sit next to Jimin when another voice was heard.

“Yoongi hyung?”

The three looked at the direction of the voice and saw a handsome boy stood on the sidewalk, in front of Yoongi’s front yard.

Oh.

Yoongi could remember the boy. “Seungcheol?”

Seungcheol didn’t change much, it seemed. “Yea, it’s me. How have you been?” He questioned back.

Yoongi glanced at Jimin beside him. “Wonderful actually. How about you?”

Seungcheol shrugged. “Not much.”

Yoongi stood up and helped Jimin to stand. He then approached Seungcheol slowly, with Jimin’s arm was interlocking his. He could also feel that Jungkook was following right behind him.

“This is Jimin and Jungkook. Jimin, Jungkook, this is Seungcheol.” Yoongi said when they were  finally standing in front of Seungcheol. Yoongi glanced at a wooden box on Seungcheol’s hand and decided to not to ask about it.

The three nodded and sent ‘Nice to meet yous’ to each other.

“Are you also coming back here for celebrating the Christmas?” Yoongi only knew a little information about Seungcheol after Yoongi left Daegu for Seoul back then. Seungcheol was studying in a college in Seoul. And Yoongi was quite sure that he was in the same year as Jimin, because the two were born on the same year.

“Yea I am.” Seungcheol seemed to think about something. “I wanna give him a visit when I’m still here.” He continued. “Wanna come with me, hyung?”

Him.

Taehyung.

It’s been awhile. Yoongi missed Taehyung so much indeed. And he surely needed to visit him.

Yoongi looked at Seungcheol, Taehyung’s best friend, Yoongi could remember clearly now. “Sure.” He finally answered. “Jiminnie, Jungkook, let me introduce you to my cousin.”

Jimin and Jungkook looked at each other in a questioned-look.

The four of them were now walking together in the paths which were Yoongi used to familiar with several years ago. It’s been a while since Yoongi went there. Not much happened. Not much changed. It almost looked the same.

Seungcheol and Jungkook were walking in front of Yoongi and Jimin now. Jimin’s hand was clinging onto Yoongi’s arm, and it felt strangely natural.

“Oh your tattoo is blue.” Jungkook suddenly broke the silence.

Yoongi stared at Seungcheol’s left wrist. Yea, Yoongi could remember that Seungcheol’s tattoo was also blue, just like Hoseok’s.

”Just like Hoseok hyung’s.” Jimin spoke from beside him.

Yoongi smiled because Jimin was thinking the same.

“Yea, it’s pretty rare.” Seungcheol lifted his hand and stared at his own wrist. “Did your friend find them?” He continued.

“Yea, luckily Hoseok hyung has a journal to keep a track.” Jungkook said. “She’s someone he met when he was 8. It’s his childhood friend.”

Now Yoongi was being curious too. “How about you?” He asked to Seungcheol.

Seungcheol stared at the empty road before him and sighed. “I started to write my journal when I was 7. And guess what, the mark says February 11th 2001. It’s when I was 6. So yea, I don’t find them, yet.”

“I’m sorry.” Jimin and Jungkook said it almost in unison. Yoongi also felt sorry, but he said nothing.

“Hey, don’t feel sorry about it. It’s not that I’m unhappy now though. I’m pretty content actually.” Seungcheol was smiling now. It was not a bitter smile indeed. It was a good-kind of smile.

Yoongi didn’t realize that they were walking pretty far already. They were now facing a large opened-gate, and they entered the yard.

It’s been awhile. Yoongi had visited the place several times back then. The place was still the same. Still quiet. Still gloomy.

Jimin tightened his hands around Yoongi’s arm. “Hyung, you said you would introduce us to your cousin.” Jimin looked around the quiet place, while still following Yoongi’s steps. “If I’m not mistaken, this is a grave yard.”

Yoongi looked at his dear soul mate beside him. “Yea, he is here now.” Yoongi smiled bitterly.

They then stopped in front of a tombstone, with a fresh bouquet in front of it. It meant someone was here not so long before.

“Hi, Tae.” Seungcheol spoke first.

Yoongi looked at the tombstone before them. “Jimin, Jungkook, this is my cousin, Kim Taehyung.”

Yoongi looked at the tombstone and he felt his chest tightened as he saw his cousin’s name there. His beloved cousin. A person full of happiness and brightness. Just like Jimin and Hoseok. The three would surely become good friends, Yoongi thought.

“Uhm Hi, Taehyung. I’m Jimin. Yoongi hyung’s soul mate. I will take care of him, don’t worry.” Jimin released Yoongi’s arm and stood on his knees to caress Taehyung’s tombstone.

Jungkook looked at Jimin and then copied Jimin’s position. “I- I’m Jungkook. Jimin and Yoongi hyung’s best friend.” He bowed to the tombstone.

Yoongi was about joining the two when Seungcheol suddenly spoke up.

“Oh anyway, I was planning of giving this box to you, hyung. Because Tae asked me to. And when I was passing your house, I didn’t expect to really saw you there.” Seungcheol said while giving the wooden box to Yoongi.

“What was inside?” Yoongi took the box from the younger’s hand and caressed it.

“I haven’t really opened it. I only peeked into it a little. I’m quite sure that they were some pictures of us, and a journal. I’ve never known what’s in the journal because it’s for you, not me. So I didn’t open it.” Seungcheol explained.

Yoongi stood on his knees and placed the box before him. Jimin and Jungkook were turning to him. The two looked as curious as him.

The eldest among the four then slowly opened the box. He saw a journal, a photo album, and a picture in frame. And maybe a bracelet too, Yoongi hadn’t sure. He then took the photo album and opened it.

Yoongi smiled while looking at some pictures of happy Taehyung in the album. Some happy memories flashed on his mind. He spent most of his childhood days with Taehyung, and sometimes with Seungcheol too.

Yoongi still looked at some pictures in the album when the realization suddenly hit him. “Oh . Now I know why I felt Jungkook’s tattoo looked so familiar.” He showed the pictures to Jimin and Jungkook in front of him.

The two looked at the pictures. The pictures of Taehyung.

They looked at Taehyung’s wrist. The black tattoo was formed there in the very same date as Jungkook’s grey one; August 13th 2013.

Jungkook gasped.
