How to be Evil (Express 333)

Description

On the eve of his 12th birthday, Do Kyungsoo received a parcel with his name written in bold at the front. An old yellow ticket was what he pulled out a second later, a little burnt around the bottom edges with water marks and something brown on the numbers, but the words were still readable and one stood out in particular, Express 333. In any given day, Kyungsoo would have thought of this as a birthday joke (who on earth would give an old ticket as a birthday gift?), but then the words started to glow and suddenly, he realized this was no ordinary train ticket.

"Dad, is this what I think it is?"

His dad wore a proud smile, while his mum was close to tears. "Congratulations, Kyungsoo. You'll be going to Victor's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

Victor? Kyungsoo's smile immediately faltered, and he thought for a second he might have heard his father wrong. "What? I'm not going to Hogwarts?"

"Nonsense, son. Why would we send you to that goody-two-shoes wizard school? We're the direct descendants of Lord Voldemort, son. Surely you haven't forgotten about our family's dark history. We're sending you to a school where they train the best students to fulfill his Lordship's legacy, so here's your chance to follow in your great-great-great-great-uncle's footsteps for world domination." His dad said with unfaltering smile. "Start packing, son. The train departs tomorrow."

Foreword

This is written for summer fairy ► a writing contest

This will be written in parts, because I don't plan to write too much. Yes, I'm aware I still have many other fics to complete. *bows dramatically* I'll update My Little Wolf soon. Just be patient there, my wolflings.

The simple plot is that Kyungsoo is placed in a school which was supposedly different from Hogwarts, but it's still a school life. There will be mixed themes: slice of life, slight angst (very little), fluff, romance, friendship, community and society, fantasy, magic, etc. I can't tag them all.

Basically, this sets around three centuries following Harry Potter's time, and all the main characters from the book were already gone. It's not a very futuristic generation: no hi-tech flying cars, except for those casted by magic; no robotic humanoids taking over the world; perhaps a few gizmos which were created to fit the futuristic theme, and steam trains such as the one in the Harry Potter book, are now express trains. Hahahaha. Thus, the title 'Express 333'. Imagine Japan's bullet trains.

Ok, so Voldermort's legacy lived on, and there are people who want to see it happen; to see a world made for wizards and witches and all the magical fairy folks, but no one else. There are those who felt like they couldn't fit into the normal part of society, so they chose to spend their time learning things they're good at, which incidentally more often than not, caused them to be involved in acts on the wrong side of the law. There are those who wants to change the world and enforce laws to their discretion. Where do all these outcasts, criminals, maniacs and whatnot go to before they come out into the world?
