71 days.

It has been 71 days since Yoongi asked (or rather insisted) Jungkook to be his boyfriend. It wasn’t romantic at all. There were no flowers or cheesy pickup lines.

Instead, there were just Yoongi trailing behind him to the dorm after a recording session. Jungkook had stayed behind with Yoongi for the recording. By the time they reached the dorm, everyone had gone to bed. Jungkook had just turned around to wish Yoongi a good night when suddenly Yoongi proposed to him (in a rather demanding way) to be his boyfriend. Jungkook had thought he had misheard Yoongi but then Yoongi was looking at him very expectantly and Jungkook couldn’t bring himself to decline the offer. Not that Yoongi was giving him an option but not that he wanted to decline the offer anyway.

So, here he is, making his way towards Yoongi’s room. He has a wish. No, not a wish but a request. Okay, not a request but a demand. Yes, a demand, definitely a demand. A demand that he wouldn’t let Yoongi deny no matter what. Jungkook smiles delightfully. Turning the door knob, he walks inside without knocking. Once he closes the door, he stands beside Yoongi’s bed.

“Hyung, I wa-”

“Where’s your manners, brat?” Yoongi said nonchalantly, eyes never leaving his phone. Jungkook rolls his eyes.

Getting no respond let alone an apology from the maknae, Yoongi lifts his head and raises his eyebrow. “If you’re here to ask me to buy you more lamb skewer, I’m sorry but nah, I’m not in the mood to leave my bed.”

“No, I was ju-”

“It wasn’t me who took your red sweater. Try asking Jimin though.”

“No, hyung, I kn-”

“And it wasn’t me who tore your favou-”

“Hyung!” Jungkook snaps and Yoongi chuckles making Jungkook feels slightly irritated. Yoongi can be a jerk sometimes.

“What is it?” Yoongi asks once he has calmed himself.

It’s then when Jungkook starts fidgeting the hem of his shirt, slightly nervous with a tinge of shyness. He looks at the floor, gently biting his lower lips before he meets Yoongi’s gaze. It’s now or never. He gulps before opening his mouth.

“Hyung, let’s go out on a date.”

There. He has said it. He looks at Yoongi with glints in his eyes and a wide grin plastered on his face. Yoongi however, just sits still on his bed, face unamused. He looks blankly at Jungkook as if Jungkook just asked him if they could fly to Japan to eat sushi when there’s a sushi restaurant in the mall nearby.

“Hyung?” Jungkook inquires when he gets no respond.

3 seconds passed and Yoongi still isn’t saying anything.

5 seconds passed and it’s still silent.

7 seconds passed and Jungkook is getting impatient.

Sighing, Yoongi gets off of his bed reluctantly. He walks out the room leaving Jungkook. Dumbfounded, Jungkook just stares his hyung leaving. He’s too perplexed to do anything. Few minutes later, Yoongi comes back and grabs his laptop from his work table. Plopping himself on the bed, he starts typing. He leans back against the headboard and pats the space beside him.

“Come’re,” Yoongi says as he smiles lazily at Jungkook. He continues when Jungkook isn’t moving. “I’ve ordered pizza, they should be here in 20.”

Jungkook frowns. Didn’t Yoongi hear he just asked him out on a date?

“What’s going on?”

“Our date,” Yoongi answers as if it’s the most obvious thing ever. “You wanted a date, so, this is it. Our date.”

Jungkook’s mouth hangs open. He looks at the laptop, then at the blanket tucks on Yoongi’s lower half and then finally at Yoongi who is currently looking intensely at the laptop screen mumbling something about romcom movies. He tries to digest what Yoongi just said; that this is their date.

When Yoongi finally looks at Jungkook, he has the biggest grin on his face like this whole situation is so ing amusing.

“So, you’re coming or not?” Yoongi says in that annoyingly smug voice. Sighing, Jungkook makes himself comfortable under Yoongi’s fluffy blanket.

This or nothing at all.
