Byun Baekhyun has it all. He has a considerate, loving fiancée, a job he loves, incessant amount of wealth and a problem-free life.

He has a perfect life... but us humans, we never tend to be content with anything, do we?

Baekhyun wasn't either.

When he employs Minah, a shy and timid girl as his secretary he finds himself falling in love with her.

He likes how she's weak and unprotected, it gives him a chance to be assertive and predominant, something he has never been able to be in his relationship with his fiancée.

Torn between his fiancée and his newly found love, he makes a life-changing decision which he may or may not regret later on.

Foreword

Nara followed Baekhyun closely as they walked into one of their favorite restaurants. She didn’t know why she felt very awkward being around him. He was her fiancé for God’s sakes but recently he hadn’t felt like one. She shrugged those thoughts aside. She had come to tell him something important. She wasn’t certain if he’d be happy or shocked, but he needed to know.

“I need to tell you something.”

“I need to tell you something.”

They both said at the same time. There was something about the look on Baekhyun’s face which made her feel that something wasn’t right.

“You should go first,” Nara said. If her intuition had been right then it was better for him to speak first as what she would say, might affect his decision. And she didn't wish for that to happen.

Baekhyun cleared his throat awkwardly. He couldn’t seem to form proper sentences. Even if he didn’t love her anymore, he did care for her. And he definitely didn’t wish to hurt her but he knew that the sooner he let it out the lesser he would hurt her.

“I don’t know how to say this….I…uhmm…I-“ he stuttered.

“You’re in love with someone else,” Nara said calmly, surprising him a bit.

“I know you very well, Baekhyun. You haven’t been yourself for the past two months. It’s as if being with me is an obligation of some sort.

I could sense that you were no longer in love with me.”

Nara bit her lips, trying to hold back her tears and not lose her composure. A part of her wanted Baekhyun to deny it, she wanted him to tell her that she was being delusional and he was still in love with her and they would get married just as they had decided. But the other part told her that she had to accept the reality which is Baekhyun was no longer in love with her.

“I’m sorry.” It was all he could say.
