Heartbreaking story that shows that sometimes we don't get a second chance with other people when life gets in a way...or should I say... death in this case... and that we should treasure every moment that we get.

To answer your question (I'm like the latest one here), but still... well from my perspective best friend is someone who knows you best. For instance, it is like a sixth sense between me and my best friend (we live in different cities, can't meet a lot anymore, not like when we were teens), but still sometimes we just call each other out of the blue as if knowing that the other one is having a bad day or that we feel emotionally unstable for that time... also, we don't need to talk all the time and feel comfortable in silence. Literally: we used to spend summers at her grandpa's house and read books while facing each other and only randomly saying something. That was like some sort of ritual back then... so yeah... I guess it just someone who stays by your side despite the literal distance and all...

What a sad ending :'( Despite of some grammatical error, I was immersed by your story. My heart just could not take it knowing Taeyeon is gone in your story. I wished that they could at least forgive each other for real before Tae passed away. Great story you have there! I hope to see more of TaeNy fanfics from you! Just because I don't read any fanfics other than TaeNy hahahaha.

It might be a bit late to answer your question but for me, a best friend is a friend I could live without but my life would be the same if she wasn't there. I am also in a 'cold war' with my closest friends. We've befriended for 9 years already but no matter how long we've befriended we still could not avoid the fight. I can live my life normally without her chats and calls but yes it feels much more different if she's with with me. But I have no worry about this. I know that we will make up in no time. I hope you are already in a good term with your bff now :) Fighting!

Chapter 1: Hi author~ i just read your story :) it's great despite the heart breaking ending.

i also read you're having problems with your bff. I just want to give a piece of advice since i had been in your position before. I guess honesty and communication is the key to a good realtionship whether it is with your family, friends or even your girlfriend or boyfriend. It's better if you confront your bff about the things you observe lately about your friendship, like what you said you guys are drifting apart. tell it to your bff. It might help. Solve that problem together. If you don't want to loose your bff show it to that person. Show that you treasure your friendship so much and hopefully you guys will really be best friends forever.

And if you're going to ask me what best friend is? Well me and my best friend had are worst fight last 2013 were she avoided me for almost 5 months. And those months was not easy it felt like i had broken up with my boyfriend haha but that's the truth cause she's like the only person who knows me well that's why even though people around me told me to give up i didnt give up on her and our friendship. Even if she rejected my sorry i still tried until one day she talk to me again and we amend. And now we're stronger and better. My best friend is like a sister i never had. She knows how to cheer me up and to comfort me. She knows when something is troubling me that's how close we are taht we don't need to say it just the mere eye contact and she knows if i have a problem. She's like my happy virus too. And whenever im with her i can be me without worrying anyone will judge me.
