Eunji adjusted her new uniform and took a long breath as she looked at the reflection of herself in the mirror. She then looked longingly at her old school uniform in the closet. She willed herself to snap out of that longing. It was decision made by her after all; the decision to transfer high school at the middle of semester. Her parents had protested at that, but having over heard the financial problem her family was having how could she continue going to expensive private girls' high school? Even if it was famous school for aspiring musicians like her, she decided to transfer to nearby public high school after the summer break... 

And the break ended yesterday, meaning high school started today.

"Eunji ya! Breakfast is ready!" Her mother called out

"Neh omma!" Eunji made sure her stuffs were all packed into her backpack before heading out to eat.

"Are you sure you don’t want me to come with you to school?" her mom asked as she put on her shoes

"Omma, I'm already in second year of high school, not in kindergarten. I'll manage it on my own." She assured her mother before heading out with a wave

The moment she stepped out of her apartment, the adjoining apartment door opened and a girl wearing the same uniform came out

"Danah, anneong!" Eunji greeted

"Eunji unni! " Danah turned back, and raised her eyebrows at the sight of Eunji in familiar uniform

"Why? Does it look weird?" Eunji asked self consciously

"Not weird per se, but I still can't believe you are transferring to our school." Danah replied

"You will get used to it.. Ya, walk faster! I don’t want to be late on my first day!"

"Arasso. I thought you were joking when you first said you were transferring…unni, does oppa know about it?"

"Why would I tell him about it? By the way, where is that idiot? "

"He went early morning for training or something. You will be seeing him often though, being same year and all."

"I honestly pray we don’t end up in the same class!"
