Seulgi is sweating profusely, as she stands beside the stairs of the stage. Ailee finished her magnificent performance and the judges are giving our their thoughts and comments.

'Oh my gosh, you're going on stage already and why is he isn't here???!!' The teacher freaks out. Right, Mino is still nowhere to be found

Yang Hyunsuk gave out his final comment and generally Ailee received positive comments from the 3 judges

'Kang Seulgi, Song Minho, please go on stage' One of the staff said as Ailee came down from stage

'Oh my gosh' The teacher says hopelessly

'Kwenchanayo' Seulgi says as she prepares to go on stage

The stage lights turn off as planned, then Seulgi went to center stage and sits on the chair. Right opposite of her, left an empty chair where her man was supposed to be sitting.

'What's that'

'Why is there a empty chair'

'Is it her concept?'

Seulgi could hear the clueless students' murmur in the dark. Seulgi takes a deeeep breath, before closing her eyes, waiting for the MR to play. While waiting, she can hear strange noises near her, and she feared...

'What if he doesn't come on?'

'What if I'm alone?'

Doubts slowly came knocking on Seulgi's door

The MR finally plays, and Seulgi opens her eyes slowly

Then, there he sat, her crush, her other half for the past 3 weeks. Mino glanced at Seulgi slightly and smiled at her, looking charismatic as ever

Mino finishes his rap flawlessly, and emotionally. Seulgi stares at Mino who, seems really weak. The students, who seems emotional as well, gave their thunderous applause

'You alright?' Seulgi hands Mino a bottle of water, who drinks it

'I should be asking you that' Mino says

Like Mino expected, Seulgi lost the battle, by a few points though. Mino admits defeat too, a powerless cannot win the powerful, after all.

'Heh, I'm fine!' Seulgi says while her eye smile while looking at Mino, who freaks out a little

'Are you sick?' Mino asks before he laughs

A short silence as both of them look at the floor. Actually, Seulgi is quite sad that she lost the battle, but she knows that Mino is hurting more, after that "little" spat with his father

'Seulgi-ah'

'Neh oppa?'

'Even if we lost, can I still make a wish?'

'Su..sure! Anything!'

'I know you have a lot of questions to ask now, but I may need to push back our interview'

'Uh huh'

'It may sound a little selfish, but..... can you wait for me? I don't exactly know how long, it may be a very long time, but till then, can you promise me that you will wait for my return?'

'If it's like this, can you grant me a wish as well?'

Mino and Seulgi looked into each other's eyes

'Anything!'

'Can you promise me that you will come home and find me?'

Mino smiles from ear to ear

Seulgi lifts her pinkie in the air

And, just like that, a pinkie promise is made

Several Years Later

'Let's welcome the main stars of the event, Red Velvet!!'

Cheers could be heard from all over fansign event

3 years have passed since the battle. Seulgi was scouted by SM Ent. and eventually made her debut a year ago, along side Wendy and 3 other members. During all these 3 years, she worked extra hard and totally changed into a different person. The cold & intimidating Seulgi turned into a sweet honey cutesy monolid bear instantly after the bear met her man 3 years ago, which Wendy finds amusing

As for Mino.... Seulgi has no idea about Mino's well-being. After the performance, Mino vanished permanently like dust

Is he still alive?

Is he doing well?

Is he looking for me?

Has he forgotten me?

Those questions fly around Seulgi's mind every single day without fail. Despite of being busy for the past years, she never fails to flip through the news every day, just to check out if there were a rookie idol group or rapper with his name. Sometimes, Seulgi would even question herself

Was that a dream?

Seulgi remembers reading an article about a plane crash, with over a number of 100 casualties reported. She happened to read the list of casualties as well and the first name was

1) Song Minho

Coincidentally, Wendy was right next to her, and Wendy broke down upon reading his name. She cried a river, as if her boyfriend dumped her. Seulgi too, was terrified and refused to believe the news. But after calling the hotline (I know when that hotline bling~ ;), both Seulgi and Wendy were relieved when they found out that the victim was actually in his 50s, so it was not the Song Minho they knew

Wendy cleared her relationship with Mino too! Turns out that Mino and Wendy were childhood friends. Both of them went to the same school since elementary, up until highschool. However, they grew distant after Weno (WENdy & MiNO) stopped taking walks to school and back home, since Mino started living in the school dorms (Furthermore Wendy had to accompany her lonely bestie during breaks). Wendy claims that they even saw each other's private parts before, but that was when they were kids, of course.

'Kamsahamida~' The fan says before moving on.

The next fan came up, he was tall, Seulgi had to lift her head to see his face. However, his face was covered by the loong neck part of his jumper, so Seulgi could only see his eyes.

Those pair of eyes, seems familiar, it resembles him

Seulgi's POV

'Stop it already Kang Seulgi! Stop hallucinating every man as him! This is like the hundredth time!'

3rd Person's POV

'Annyeong!!! What's your name?' Seulgi manages to stay professional during her internal war as she prepares to sign another card of hers

'Song Minho' He says in usual deep voice, before pulling his neck part of the jumper down

Once Seulgi heard his name, she had a quick flashback on what happened during that 3 weeks. Their first meeting, their meals together, their walks together, their texts together, the backhug they shared during Christmas night, his lame jokes, Mino's family drama, Their stage, and lastly, their promise.

Seulgi looks up abruptly, meeting the face of the same old pabo she knew. Mino grins at her

'I'm back~' Mino says happily

And that was the moment Seulgi knows, the wait was over.
