Seulgi looks around the empty dorm awkwardly

Both Mino and Seulgi agreed to meet up in Mino's dorm every lunch break. According to Mino, none of his room mates will be there during lunch break, so it is safe to do "anything" there. Futhermore, Mino says that he usually writes his songs there or the laundry room

However, unlike the other typical male dorms, Mino's dorm is considerably tidy and neat, surprisingly

'Oh you're here' Mino says as he enters

'Annyeong' Seulgi greets

'Uh.... wait a sec... I'm going to take a quick shower first... had gym class earlier' Mino points at his own gym attire

'Alright'

'Use my laptop there to kill time, I'll be back real quick' Mino points at his desk

'Stop nagging, just go and shower'

'Okay'

Seulgi then uses Mino's laptop. Once she opens it, she found the music app (The app Mino uses to compose). Without wasting anytime, Seulgi uses that app and analyses the songs Mino had pre-written. 

Again, Seulgi is blown by Mino's musical talents. Although most of them were upbeat songs (HipHop/Trap), there were a few slow instrumentals that Seulgi fell in love with, they were as good as the songs you hear on radio. Seulgi cannot help it but admire the track titled "Fly With The Wind", as she read the lyrics

'Whatchu doing?' Mino walks out in his proper school uniform while drying his hair with his towel

'Nothing-- Just stalking my friend' Seulgi winks

'Oh my....' Mino says under his breath

'Hmm?' Seulgi says

'Nothing'

'Yahh Minho-ah, your dorm is unexpectedly neat heh' Seulgi looks around

'Ahh... that's because we have a clean freak' Mino points at another desk, with the nameplate

'Kim Jinwoo?' Seulgi reads the nameplate

'Yeah.... So what have you been doing on my com?' Mino grabs a chair and sits right next to Seulgi

'Just reading through some of your lyrics'

'Mhm, how was it? It's jjang right?'

'Ani! Your word plays are too complicated for me to understand'

'You're just stupid' Mino nudges Seulgi's head lightly

'Look who's talking, #232' Seulgi fires back

'...' Mino backs down

'Hmm.. should I tell you a secret?'

'Hohoho I'm more than pleased to know your secrets' Mino says sarcastically as he surfs through the net

'I'm a year younger than you' Seulgi says as a matter of fact

'Eiii, don't lie'

'I'm for real, you're my oppa... Should I call you Minho-oppa?'

'...You serious?'

'Yes, I skipped a year during middle school because I was too smart'

'Da hell?'

'Yeah, deal with it oppa! I'm smart too!'

'Pfft so what? You're rude and bratty to your seniors --AHHH!'

Seulgi smacks Mino's back

'So what is your plan?' Mino quickly changes the topic

'Hmm?'

'We should start writing a new piece right?'

'Why? I read some of your pre-written songs... I personally like this song' Seulgi shows the laptop to Mino

"Fly With The Wind"

'This whole song is rap... and I haven't written the chorus lyrics yet' Mino says as he scrolls through the sheet

'Yea I realised that you left blanks for the chorus'

'I think writing a new song would be better' Mino was about to click "Compose"

'No, I'd say this is our winning song'

'Why?'

'I read the lyrics... it's about you... right?' Seulgi stops him

'....'

'See, I'm right!'

'N..No! It's not like that! I just... just looked around for inspiration!' Mino flustered

'Yea, you looked at yourself'

'...'

'Let's do that song then'

'Bu..but it's your battle, not mine!'

'So?'

'We should write a song that is about your story, not me'

'Eii, who cares? As long as the song is great, nothing is wrong'

'...'

'Ahhh cham... one more thing... teach me how to write lyrics'

'Why? I thought I wi-'

'I want to write the chorus for our song'

'Wh..what?'

'Yea, you heard that right. This time, instead of working your off, just put your trust in me'

'What you got for the Lyrical exams?'

'...B....'

'B is for Bad....' Mino says while trying hard to not laugh

'Yahh!'

'Sorry sorry'

'Oh right, I just noticed this, but where is your family picture? I realised everyone's desk has their family picture, while your desk is empty'

'Why?'

'Just.. asking..'

'I don't have those kind of things' Mino says bluntly while looking at his feet

'...' Seulgi looks away and sniffs awkwardly

'Speaking of which, both of us are alone now' Mino goes nearer to Seulgi

'S...ssoooo?' Seulgi stutters at the sudden change of mood

'Aren't you scared?'

'O..offf?'

'Me'

'Wh..why would I'

Seulgi bends lower as Mino comes closer and closer, till the point that she can even feel his breath!

'Because' Mino lightly pushes Seulgi's forehead with his finger. However, he never knew Seulgi was so low that she fell when Mino pushes her

Before Seulgi falls, Mino is quick enough to grab her from behind

Then, both of them realise the amount of skinship they were having

'...'

'...'

Awkwaaaaaard........

*Riiiiiing* The school bell rings

'I'll get going first' Seulgi pushes Mino away before leaving the room abruptly, leaving Mino alone there

Mino's POV

'...She's kinda cute'

Seulgi's POV

'...He's kinda cute'

After that "little" incident, they both agreed to meet at 8 every night, in the recording studio, the school gave them special permission to use it

'Yahh what is this?' Mino asks as Seulgi places down some tupperwares on the table

'Leftovers from home' Seulgi opens the tupperwares. It is filled with tonnes of home cooked food by Mrs. Kang

'Wahhh...' Is all Mino could say as he looks in awe

'Here' Seulgi hands Mino chopsticks

'Wait a sec'

Mino then begins to mutter some words under his breath with his eyes closed

'Done, why'd you bring these tho?' Mino says as he begins to fill his tummy

'You had triangle kimbabs again right?' Seulgi says in suspicion

'Mhm' Mino mumbles

'See? I figured that out!'

'Yahh, what's wrong with triangle kimbabs?'

'Nothing is wrong with that, but my partner has to be fed well so that he can rip the out of that ' Seulgi pats Mino's head

'You hate her that much? She's quite pretty though' Mino remembers passing by Ailee the other day

'Yahh oppa!' Seulgi glares with flare

'Hahaha hold it there young lion... have some!'

'I ate, at home.. it's for real this time!' Seulgi remembers her awkward encounter yesterday

'Aiii I feel lonely eating all by myself.. Baby I'm so lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely~' Mino pretends to sing

'Yahh, alright alright! Stop singing in your annoying voice!' Seulgi was about to grab another chopstick but remembers that she only brought one pair

'Say Ahhhh.. the airplane is coming~' Mino says as he lifts some food with his chopstick

Seulgi, is obviously taken back

'Hajima!' Seulgi says out of embarrassment, although they were alone. However, Mino did not listen

'Ugh, fine.... Ahhhh....'

Mino feeds Seulgi like a mother feeding her cild

'Aigoo, our Seulgi eats so well~' Mino teases, earning a smack again

After that little dinner, the hardwork begins. To much of Mino's disagreement, Seulgi will only be singing the chorus and extra 4 lines at the end of the song, so that would probably be only around 12 lines? However Seulgi was confident with this song, for some reason... Maybe it was the lyrics that made her so attached to that song

As agreed, Seulgi will be in charged of writing the lyrics, with Mino being her guide. To Mino's surprise, Seulgi was not that bad, just could do with a little improvement. Furthermore, Mino has quit his part-time job, so that he could fully "focus" on the battle. But deep down, he just wanted to have Seulgi as his new companion

'Oh my, it's 11 already... Minho-oppa, I'll need to go first' Seulgi says before grabbing her jacket

'I'll walk you home'

'Oh nono, I can go home alone'

However Mino insists to walk her home with the reason "It isn't safe to walk on streets anymore".. Lame reason, right?

Along the road, Mino shared his lame jokes that he did not have the chance to share with the other kids, earning lots of laughter from Seulgi. Mino thought that Seulgi's laugh was charming, so he should form more lame jokes in the future, just to see her laugh

'We are here~' Seulgi says as they reach her house

'Oh, that was quick....'

'Seulgi-ah!' A man in his 40s called out from the other side of the street

'Oh Appa! What are you doing out here!' Seulgi hugs her dad

'Just came back from work... this is?' Mr Kang looks at Mino

'Annyeonghaseyeo ahjusshi, Song Minho inmida' Mino bows 90 degrees

'Oh, so you're my daughter's boyfriend?'

'Appa! He's my partner for my battle... He's just kind enough to walk me home!' Seulg denies furiously, Mino blushes with the thought of being Seulgi's boyfriend

'Ahhh, please do take care of my daughter! She may be a little rude at ti-'

'Appa!' Seulgi stops her father shyly. Mino smiles brightly upon seeing the shy Seulgi, with mixed feelings (Happiness, envy, and LOOVEEEEEE). He certainly did not expect Seulgi to have this side of her, like she is really cold and intimidating in school, but she is all cutesy cutesy around him and her family

'Come on in! I happen to bought a whole fried chicken on my way home' Mr Kang invites Mino but Mino decides reject it

'O nono, I need to rush back before the main gate closes'

'Oh really? Then next time, I will treat you with delicious food then! If you date my Seulgi, I'll treat you with buffet!' Mr Kang jokes

'Hahaha please do, ahjussi!'

They bid good bye to each other. As Seulgi is entering home, her phone beeps

From: Minho oppa

'Sleep well Seulbear! My partner needs to be fresh so that she can write the best lyrics for our battle! Hwaiting!'

Seulgi smiles at his message before replying him

Since that night, Mino would be anticipating meals with his one and only Seulbear, while Seulgi would be anticipating late night walks and texts with her one and only Mino. When they are together, they feel extremely comfortable, because they were the answer to each others' loneliness
