Jung Soo’s story was about two guys with troubled pasts who meet each other in beautiful Corsica.

Kim Soo Hyun is an honest 28 year old workaholic who cares about nothing except slogging his way up the corporate ladder. His colleagues in an attempt to make him wind down send him away to Corsica on a vacation for a week. Dumped and utterly miserable Kim Shin Hyuk, an architect decides to embark upon the adventure of his lifetime.

Loveless and alone, both compatriots meet and become acquainted with each other. They take in whatever solace Corsica has to offer. They get swept away by the tides of exhilaration as they realize that life is just too short to be moping around and getting wasted. They both start to enjoy each others’ company and confide in each other until one fatal error tears them apart. They get high during a night out and suddenly decide to mess around.

While Soo Hyun has trouble coming to terms with this sudden turn of events, Shin Hyuk starts to view his new found friend in a new light. And so one day he corners Soo Hyun and comes out with his feelings to which he is blatantly turned down. Distraught and confused, both decide to part ways and land up in Seoul, thereby hoping to get back to their mundane jobs and never see each other again.

In the mean time, Soo Hyun’s mind traces back to that week in Corsica, longing to relive the days and wondering if he could ever see Shin Hyuk again. His once chaotic and tumultuous feelings die down and he realizes that he is indeed in love with Shin Hyuk. He pens down his travel experiences in an exclusive blog that gradually starts to gain likes from people all over the world.

And as he updates his online travelogue, one day he stumbles upon someone pen-named ‘talldarkandhandsome407’ requesting to follow his page. Quite casually Soo Hyun accepts his request and the two start sharing things about their life until his new online friend updates his respective blog with images of the streets of Corsica with the headline “With my love who shares my initials”.

Soo Hyun notices belatedly that those places in the images were the exact places he had gone to while he was with Shin Hyuk. He reminisces the wonderful times he had with the handsome man only to be aggrieved and traumatized with the realization of how he had brutally rejected Shin Hyuk’s feelings. He shuts down his blog in a fit of anguish and his self loathing lands him in severe depression. His colleagues find him utterly wasted in a bar a few days afterwards and admit him to a hospital where he is treated for alcohol intoxication.

A few days later he reopens his blog only to find tons of messages from his various followers and a few such messages from ‘talldarkandhandsome407’. Coincidentally Soo Hyun stumbles upon the very same pictures once again as he visits the blogger’s page, only this time he pays close attention to the date recorded at the bottom right corner of every picture. And reality dawns upon him as the dates of his visit and that of the blogger’s visit coincide.

He then correlates the headline of the article and sees with amazement that he is indeed talking about both their initials ‘Shin Hyuk and Soo Hyun’. And as he reaches the end of the blog, he discovers a wedding invitation. It suggests that Shin Hyuk is getting married on that very day. Panicked and confused, he battles his emotions and comes to the conclusion that if he ever lets this opportunity slip he wont be able to forgive himself.

Taking his car, he races to the venue but sees no one in the premises of the church. In fact it looks completely deserted except for a figure which approaches him. Turning around, Soo Hyun sees that it is indeed Shin Hyuk smiling at him with open arms. Relieved beyond words Soo Hyun hugs him and cries voicing out his feelings that lay buried inside his heart in the process.

He also discovers that Shin Hyuk already knew that it was his blog indeed and that he faked his wedding on purpose just so Soo Hyun could come to terms with his feelings and come running to him once again.

Finally they get married in the same church that reunited them and live their lives happily.

Kyuhyun found the script extremely challenging. It was challenging in terms of its content as it was against his beliefs and that it would require him to step out of his comfort zone. But it was tempting at the same time. An opportunity to do a movie of this sort wasn’t gonna come knocking his door every now and then especially with a director of Jung Soo’s name and caliber tagging along.

He then considered the possibility of the public accepting such a concept. Even though South Korea had long since shed its orthodox and authoritarian principles regarding homophobic relationships, there were certain factions that still couldn’t accept the legalization at any cost and were dead against it. It could lead to a plausible negative publicity but in the entertainment industry there was an unwritten rule called ‘Any publicity is good publicity’.

That was how the directors these days were emboldened to venture into controversial scripts such as this.

Kyuhyun calculated and weighed the pros and cons that could result from doing this movie and realized the pros had outweighed the cons by a long shot with Victoria encouraging him to boot.

He dialed Jung Soo‘s number to inform him that he had decided to go ahead with this project. Jung Soo was absolutely delighted with his response and informed him to come to his house to discuss further about the movie.

Siwon couldn’t read the script the day the director had given it to him as he had been busy with his CF-shoot. The following day he took it upon himself to cancel his schedules for the rest of the day just so he could go through the story with patience. Just half way through the story and he was literally mind blown with the way Jung Soo had brought such intricate layering and detailing to both characters. He just couldn’t tell which character weighed more in terms of importance as both seemed to be equally compelling.

He had to admit that the story had lived up to what Jung Soo had termed “out-of-the-box”. But would he risk his image for a movie? He was unsure.

At the same time he thought about the consequences of accepting it. This could well be the much needed breakthrough he had been looking for. Like his father Siwon had dreamed of making it big. Hollywood. That was what he had been gunning for since childhood. Challenging storylines such as this often got noticed by westerners.

It was time for him to evolve. He had had enough of playing textbook roles, cheeky boys-next-door and die hard romantics. Image be damned, ‘coz sometimes a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. He confirmed with Jung Soo for an appropriate time to meet him.

Meanwhile Jung Soo was sweating bullets. He had never realized that things would progress so quickly. It had been his wish to have both Siwon and Kyuhyun in his movie. But he just had to go and cast those two opposite each other in a movie where they’d have to romance each other! Making them both act in a movie together was one thing but making them smooch on-screen was another thing altogether.

And now he was in a fix. Both had apparently given him the green signal. Now he just wished the Lord would save his if things went haywire.

Kyuhyun had gotten ready since forever and was waiting for his girlfriend downstairs. They still had plenty of time for their engagement but Victoria had insisted on going shopping for some clothes and other necessities with some of her girlfriends downtown. Not that she didn’t have enough though.

“Vic! Jung Soo hyung’s not gonna be waiting around all day!” he yelled.

“I’m coming! I’m coming!” she yelled back. A minute later she came bouncing down the stairs and straight into Kyuhyun’s arms.

“Hmm. Someone’s looking handsome today!” she giggled and looped her slender arms around his neck.

“You look not so bad yourself milady!” he complimented her and tightened his hold on her waist. She was wearing a skin hugging tee and a pair of shorts that accentuated her curves. Her face was made up but not that much and her hair was up in a pony tail. Just how Kyuhyun liked it.

“Liar. I couldn’t dry my hair properly and now its all frizzy thanks to you!” she pinched his arm but he hardly let her go.

“Don’t care. You could grow an extra head and still look adorable to me.” He said.

Tiny fleeting instances like this made Victoria’s heart skip a beat. Kyuhyun was always busy with his work. If he wasn’t recording a song, he’d be busy with a script in hand. She’d lost count on the times where she’d long to hold his gaze forever and get drowned in his eyes. He wasn’t an expressive and an overbearing lover and that’s what had her drawn to him in the first place but when he got down to business he’d literally swept her off her feet. He’d sung a song he’d written exclusively for her last year on her birthday and she wondered what she’d done to deserve a wonderful boyfriend like him.

“I love you Kyuhyun.” She declared out of the blue.

“Love you too Vic.” He said and pecked her lips gently.

“Now lets go. We’re already late.” And they drove off into town. He dropped her at the mall where her friends had been waiting and drove straight to Jung Soo’s house.

“Whats wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost!” he joked when he saw Jung Soo’s face.

“Its nothing. I couldn’t sleep well last night.” Jung Soo reasoned. Obviously a lie but he had to play it out until it became inevitable which could happen any minute now.

“Why? Are you feeling ill or something?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Uh! No I am fine Kyuhyun. Now sit down and make yourself at home!” he said and went into the kitchen.

“Sorry I ran out of tea. I know you like it but would you settle for some coffee instead?” he asked.

“Its no big deal hyung. Anything is fine.” Kyuhyun said. Kyuhyun had an uncanny ability to make people acquainted in record time and Jung Soo was happy he shared a great rapport with the star. He wondered if anything about his rapport would change until Siwon made his appearance.

“By the way how is Vic?” he asked trying desperately to calm his nerves.

“Oh she is fine. I just dropped her off at the mall on my way here. She said she wanted to go shopping for our engagement.” Kyuhyun told him.

“Ha ha. You two are so in love! I’m jealous!” Jung Soo said. Of course any sane person would be jealous of the two love birds. They were just so perfect for each other.

“Why don’t you get married then?” Kyuhyun asked him as he received the cup of steaming cappuccino.

“All in good time my friend! Now tell me what you thought of the script?” Jung Soo asked him.

“Like I said on the phone, It is a gem. Couldn’t have hoped for a better story but of course its from you so I am used to surprises.” Kyuhyun’s candidness had Jung Soo see stars. He could see his dream project materializing in front of his eyes.

“Anything you wanna get clarified?” he asked Kyuhyun.

“Just one thing though. Considering this is about a gay couple, I’ll be paired with a male. Who’d you have in mind?” There. Finally Kyuhyun dropped the bomb. Jung Soo had expected the actor to ask him this question since it was only fair. It’s just that he wasn’t prepared how to actually answer it.

Just then a car came to a screeching halt in front of the house and Siwon emerged out of it holding the script in his hands. Kyuhyun wasn’t pleased to see him in the least but he didn’t give much thought on the purpose of his visit.

“Whats Mr. Playboy doing here?” he asked the director.

“Whoa! Wrong timing? Nope I’m sure you gave me a 11’o clock appointment.” Siwon said as he sat down dropping the script on the table.

“What are you doing with that script?” Both yelled at each other and then turned towards Jung Soo for some much needed explanation.

Well its now or never!

“Um guys! You two are gonna be playing Soo Hyun and Shin Hyuk.” He trailed off as Siwon and Kyuhyun even had to double take on what he had just said.

“Oh hell no!” And Jung Soo knew that all hell had broken loose.
