I rolled my eyes as I looked across the lunch table to Jeon Jung Kook. He was rambling on about this new transfer student in his class - Lee Ji Hae. It was stupid; the way he smiled when he pointed out her features and giggled every few seconds afterwards. I always found myself gagging when he proclaimed his "love" for her and his declarations that he'll one day marry her when they're older. I don't know why, but I didn't like her. Her voice had a sour taste on my tongue whenever I asked about her to him and I can't even stand the thought of her. Even though I've never held a conversation with her, from her pictures, I thought she wasn't everything Jung Kook described her to be as. 'Silky ebony black hair that falls over her slim and tall body'? More like permanently ironed hair that's slowly damaging and waiting to be torn off her scalp. In my opinion, I think Ji Hae's way far off from what he describes her as - how was she capable of capturing his heart in an instant? I've been friends with Jungkook ever since we were twelve years old in middle school, but even since then, he's never complimented a single feature on my face.

"Jung Ae Rin! Ae Rin-ah! Earth to Ae Rin? Quick! She's here!" I heard Jung Kook quietly shout to me, whilst reaching across the table to jab my arm.

"SHE'S NOT EVEN THAT PRETTY, JUNG KOOK, ARE YOU BLIND?" I stood up and suddenly yelled at him.

Snapping out of my thoughts and not realising the outburst I had just made, the whole canteen had their eyes on me, whilst I was lowering my body back onto the seat, wanting to sink onto the floor out of embarrassment.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry," My voice faded as I bowed in all directions to all of my peers. After a few seconds of their murmurs, they returned to their own conversations.

"What's wrong with you? Idiot. Look, over there! She just walked in and she's standing alone by the water dispenser!" Jung Kook excitedly pointed out to what seemed like Lee Ji Hae. "What should I do? What should I do? She's looking at us!" Jung Kook hid his face in his hands,

"Shut up, just go and talk to her, you useless romantic." I hissed with a smile, still not recovered from my embarrassment and once again realising how much I disliked her.

Jung Kook shuffled around, still not sure what to do. "Oh my god..." I muttered. Deciding to take action, I got out of my seat and over to the other side towards my stupid best friend and grabbed his wrist.

After dragging him towards Ji Hae, I exhaled and grinned towards the girl, "Hello, my name is Jung Ae Rin - I'm your school mate and I hope we can be friends. I saw your instagram last week but didn't get a chance to follow you, but I'll make sure to tonight. Speaking of followers, this is Jung Kook, my friend and your classmate! You guys should really be friends if you'll be seeing each other's faces for the next few years." I let out a short laugh and caught my breath, "Here, I'll lend him to you this lunch and you guys can talk."

Quickly walking away from the awkward couple, I went over to the snack bar and bought a bottle of juice, chugging it down like alcohol - hoping it would have the same effect.

"Calm down Ae Rin-ssi, you're chugging that down like you're going to die tomorrow," I heard a bittersweet voice from behind me and I turned around just to meet eyes with Kim Tae Hyung, the school's player and most obnoxious boy you'd ever meet. Expectedly, he had girls wrapped around his waist. "Does your little Jung Kook like someone else? I heard your mini rant earlier," He laughed, "But you should come over to my side - it's probably better than that Jung Kook loser. I can make you happy, just come into my arms"

He stuck out his hand from a girl's back and waved it around for me to grasp. I scoffed and swatted his hand away, not bothered to deal with his stupid remarks. I walked away, tightly grasping my juice bottle as a way to release my anger. I looked over at the now laughing and giggling Jungkook and Ji Hae before feeling something grab my wrist and pull me back. My eyes once again met with Tae Hyung's.

He smirked and said,

"Ae Rin-ssi..." He pulled away a few centimetres to look down at my body, making me feel slightly insecure about myself. He came even closer than before, just close enough so I could feel his warm breath onto my ear. He whispered in a hushed voice,

"Annyeong," he let go of my wrist and turned around to meet with his with his dumbstruck boytoys and haughtily walked off, not turning back.

I really hate that guy. Maybe even more than Lee Ji Hae.
