Once Upon A Time, Tom Meets Jerry. And They Fall In Love."Gommie-yah, I have the worst girlfriend ever. She's been ignoring me for almost an hour now, she doesn't even care if I starve to death..."
Soojung, the said girlfriend, rolls her eyes in exasperation. The clock will strike nine soon, and she still hasn't reached anywhere near perfecting the dance she's been learning - at least for her standard. And Mijoo, the one appointed as her partner, has long since given up being help as she supposed to be and instead turned into a constant distraction; moving idly, lounging around the room, and the most recent one, having dialogue with huge Teddy Bear they have left on the company building for shooting purpose in bombastic and loud volume overpowering music from the speaker.
"Yah... I'm trying to focus here."
The complain apparently falls on deaf ears, as Mijoo now puts the bear's hand on her head, pretending it is her hair in sympathy. "Aww poor Mijoo... You should date me instead."
"You know, being childish like that won't help to get your chicken any sooner. Come here and help me practice will."
"But I am really hungry!" Mijoo pouts, making the best impersonation of sad abandoned kitten. "I can't dance with empty stomach!"
"Okay, one more time and we're going to eat, I promise." Soojung's expression finally softens a bit. "And if you don't want to dance, at least watch me instead of talking with that freaking bear! I need someone to point out things I should improve."
Still frowning, Mijoo tosses the bear to another end of bench. "Fine. Make it quick." She leans forward, lazily propping her chin on a hand, her jacket sliding off one of her shoulder loosely.
"You can blame your best friends for their great idea." Soojung mutters disdainfully. She goes approaching the computer at the corner to press replay button, then back to the center of the room, grand sound of church organ starts the song ominously.
---------------------
Everything started when they were in the middle of brainstorm for their second fanmeeting concert that's going to be held in three months. It's been decided for special performance they will be divided into units, each consisted of two members, and perform cover of another Kpop stars' songs.
After Soojung heard she got paired with Mijoo, the leader suggested they sing, while Mijoo otherwise said they should dance. Everyone else agreed with Mijoo. She still insistently rattled a list of R&B and hiphop-ish songs to be covered when out of the blue Myungeun uttered, "Why don't you two do y dance?"
Soojung stared in disbelief at the six members who were nodding eagerly, and was even more floored to found Mijoo actually looked interested instead of siding with her to fight against the horrible idea.
"It has to be mind blowing! Something dark, and provocative, and intriguing that fans would never expect!" Little Sujeong said dramatically, mischievous gleam twinkling in her eyes.
"Gain's Paradise Lost!"
They took a moment of silence contemplating Jisoo's suggestion - picturing Soojung and Mijoo clad in black leotard, slithering around like snake tempting Eve - then cheered in concurrence. Not really because the concept would fit, but more because they like being and torture their leader.
Soojung choked on her own incredulous laugh. "You're just kidding right?"
Nope, they were not.
"No way in hell I'm doing it! Are you all out of your mind?!"
"Should we vote then? Who agree with this?" Jiae asked with a smirk.
Soojung buried her face into her crossed arms resting on the desk, didn't even need to look up to know all her members' hands were up in the air.
---------------------
On Mijoo's end it's all thrill and excitement, while Soojung still strongly exuded protests about this and that ("Why am I the serpent role?! Mijoo looks ten times more satanic!" "You'll find out why, someday.") but they started the work anyway, recording the song, modifying the choreography for two persons and adjusting some moves that deemed not suitable. And despite the struggle in the beginning, Soojung gradually got better.

Turn the lights off please
I’ll be in the darkness
Mijoo watches closely as Soojung goes down to the floor. Smooth but sharp. She sits sideway, tiny fingers splayed brushing across her chest before turning over and lying down. Her eyes turn sultry, every single of her movement is fluid, an exact expression of serpent inviting its prey to the tree of knowledge.
And suddenly Mijoo feels dries.
Anyone looking for the paradise lost
No need for elaborate words, no need for lies
You are mine, and I’m your diamond lost
It's weird. They've been repeating the same dance hundred times over the past month, but Mijoo never really figured it out before. Maybe because this time she's sitting, watching, in audience seat, maybe because this time she's not standing on the same stage and too focused on her own part; but right now, Soojung is sinfully y.
I’m here, I’m yours
Just remember this
You and I, another paradise
Using both hands as support, Soojung lifts her rear, swaying her hips side to side as the chorus - her own velvet but powerful voice - blaring throughout the room. Doesn't even realize someone has moved to the door and locked it, then sauntering over to her, like tempted Eve reaching out for the forbidden fruit.
Soojung gasps in surprise as she gets up, Mijoo is already there seizing both of her hands, with very hungry look on her eyes.
"Okay, okay, I'm done! Let's go get dinner!" Soojung laughs lightly, but it's silenced right away when she feels Mijoo's death grip doesn't want to release her. "Are you alright?"
"I suddenly don't want chicken anymore."
"But didn't you say you're starving?" She shots perplexed look.
"That I still am." The taller girl breathes, finally letting go just so she can slide her hands under Soojung's tshirt. "I want to eat you."
Soojung let herself being pushed to the wall, to another paradise, gritting her teeth while soft lips start peppering kisses all over her neck. Somehow, she understands why is she the tempting serpent now.
