what we do; the basic gist of the story
this story focuses on the mishaps and shenanigans that the heroes registered at the heroes association get up to on a daily basis. they do everything from fighting mutants, beasts and monsters to scamming other people into giving them their money(scratch that, only "that guy" does this) and just completing the tasks and missions requested by the citizens, along with protecting the city from any evil that tries to wreak havoc of course. the story leans more towards crack-y comedy than it does indianna jones or james bond stuff
where we are; the setting
this story takes place in tokyo, japan. to be honest with you all, everything is either going to take place center of the city where all the buildings and skyscrapers will be knocked down or the outskirts of tokyo where the forests, mountains, empty landscape, rivers, etc are. i won't be focusing much on the geography because it complicates things. oh, and also, the heroes can come from anywhere around the globe- though i don't know why someone from, let's say france, would want to protect japan rather than their own country ahaha
do i qualify; abilities, superpowers and etc
because this fic is superhero themed and the main cast are a bunch of ragtag heroes, your character is going to have to possess some sort of supernatural power, ability, or method of fighting to ward off the forces of evil. they don't have to possess some sort of supernatural power, or superhuman strength per se, being a robin from teen titans and utilizing weapons, gadgets and atheletic ability is great aswell. with that being said, if you choose to possess some sort of superpower, don't be marysue/garystu and be op as .. as unrealistic as this story can get, try to be semi realistic in regards to their powers, capabilities and how well they can use it. having perfect contraol and being overpowering as won't make for a long or interesting story. *you can browse through this site for power/ability ideas??
how to register; applying
general: you can apply as either gender, and also as many times as you want. and yuri is allowed but it will probably be limited because i don't have much experience writing about couples and romance, and writing in general
personalities: please try to refrain from using simple traits (caring, kind, cold, cool, etc) to describe your character. you don't need to provide bulky paragraphs in the personality section either as i would prefer it if you were to keep it simple and straight to the point because long and bulky paragrpahs scare me. but just because i said keep it simple and straight to the point doesn't mean that leaving it as sparse as barren wasteland is acceptable. if you just summarise the actual definition of some traits/words and give me a character with no individuality, i will personally throw you into the sun
if i just confused any of you with the paragraph above, you can stick to the standard 1-2 paragraphs describing their traits. i'm looking for a variety of characters so go hard or go home my brothers *hover, very important
background & present lifestyle: if there is nothing worth mentioning, please save yourself the trouble and delete the background/present lifestyle part. okay, what i'm trying to say is that if your character's background is fairly plain, average, normal with no vendetta, grudge, mortal enemy, and etc, YOU DON'T NEED TO write about their background unless you really want to. as for their present lifestyle, adding where they live, where they work, who they live with and such can be put into the trivia section. no need for paragraphs unless of course, you want to add them
faceclaims: please stick to anime/manga characters as faceclaims. i have no intention of doing any sort of anime x kpop crossover so let's leave it at that. and also, as long as your faceclaim matches their given age, i won't go super saiyan and use the kamehameha to blast your face off<3
ages: your character can be as old or as young as you want them to be but how about we just try sticking around the teen/adolescent/young adult age range
relationships: if you want romance, go somewhere else. all jokes aside, there won't be much romance in this story aside from subtle fluff?? writing about romance, love and couples, etc isn't my forte. i'm all about the monsters and superpowers. i don't mind your character having a love interest though, it'll just be hard for me to incorporate other characters into the story if they aren't another applicant/apart of the cast(do you get what i'm hinting at?)
alias/superhero name: your character will need an alias, or a superhero name, that other people will refer to them as. rule #875 of the heroes association states that: it is crucial that every registered hero at the association have an alias or superhero name whether they like it or not. their alias can be self-given or made up but can also be given by members of the general public. your character's alias is basically a nickname, stagename or epithet that the public will know and refer to them as
taken; idk why i put this in a section of it's own but ehh

3. "that guy" (taken as my character's alias/superhero name ahahahahaha i'm being serious. it's not a joke. he goes by the alias "that guy" if you didn't get it in the foreword/hero of the day section)

5. invisibility(indefinite though, may change)
6. voodoo(doll) / voodoll (laughs)
