Chapter 5
I'm a genius... right?I was in a vast sunflower field. The sunflowers were gigantic, making me feel as if I was a small maggot. The sun was blaring down mercilessly. Thank god for my hat and the gigantic sunflowers because it was really hot, I mean I think it was because I was sweating buckets. Right when I was admiring the amazingly huge flowers, a voice resonated through me. It didn't really call out to me like a person would but it was like an echo from a distant place and it was getting closer. With every word it muttered it was getting closer. I couldn't hear the word as they were too muffled but I shut my eyes in fear of what was coming and I could tell it was coming fast and before long it was right behind me and I was rooted to the ground. Taking in my look of surprise, the boy chuckled lightly before saying, "Idiot, this is not your house."
I squinted my eyes to make sure he wasn't lying and he responded with a shrug of his shoulders and a gesture to make me look around. I did and true that, I was definitely not in my bedroom. For one, there was too much sunlight here and two; by around this time of the day, I would've heard my mother screaming that she wanted more booze. I let that information sink in and for the third time that day, I widened my eyes.
"DID YOU KIDNAP ME?"
