Irreplaceable
Seohun gasped almost inaudibly as she placed her palm over her son’s forehead. He wasn’t crying because he was hungry, but because he was sick.
And sick, meaning feverish. This was the first time her son was sick, and being somewhat knowledgeable, high fever can cause damage to the brain. Especially when the child is below 18 months old.
Frantically, she grabbed her bag along with her car keys, ignoring Krystal who was halfway done with setting up the table. The red head frowned when her senior didn’t acknowledge her greeting.
“Where is she going off so hurriedly.”
Krystal gave an eye roll and sighed, looking at the almost filled up table. She thought they could have a nice breakfast but unfortunately things didn’t really go as planned.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen, damn it.”

No matter how many times she started the engine, it wouldn’t rev. Her son’s crying wouldn’t die down and even she was on the verge of spilling her own tears. She fished out her phone from her bag and hurriedly dialled Kai’s number.
Once,
Twice,
Three times.
But he still didn’t answer. And there was no way she could get a cab this early in the morning. Frustrated, the brunette slammed the steering wheel and threw her head back. Just when she thought she couldn’t live without her husband, a sign came and showed the opposite.
Looking via the rear mirror, she silently begged her son to stop crying. Her heart ached at the sight of his crimson face and tears flowing down his cheeks one after another. His wails filled her car and her mind equally, who else can she ask help from.
Who else..
Who..
“Yifan…”
Seohun’s eyes widened, whipping her phone once more and punched in her brother’s number. The latter was her last hope and if he doesn’t answer-
“Hello? Seohun?”
“Yifan!”
