7th week in school

The racing cars, the squirming umbrellas all over the place
It’s cloudy and the air is clear. <<

Seokjin looks outside the window.

Rain.

Rain.

Rain.

Nothing but rain.

The rain came down for the last few days without stopping once.

It's depressing.

Like it isn't boring enough to sit all day in a gray classroom.

No, even when the classes are over, the boys have to sit inside.

Either together with all the others

or cramped inside the small room of one.

No need to say, they choose to squeeze in one of their rooms.

It might not be the most comfy, but being next to each other is enough.

It'll always be.

But after an evening of squeezing, laughing, cuddling and talking, everyone goes back to his tiny room.

Changing clothes, turning off the lights, going to sleep.

Oh yes, sleep.

How he wants to fall asleep.

But he can't.

When Seokjin lies in his bed, the raindrops playing at his window, his thoughts wander off to everything that happened.

His girlfriend,

his child,

his parents,

his friends.

Until the exhaustion knocks him off.

>> It’s a rainy night, the rain knocks on my window, it hits my heart. <<

The next day is a Saturday, which means no school for the boys.

Sekojin sits up in bed, taking a deep breath.

>> I wake up when it’s just about to get bright outside
I brush back my hair when my exhausted hands. <<

He looks out the window.

It is 9 am, the sunlight should have woken him up an hour ago, but it didn't.

It's still gray.

Still raining.

>> Then I turned my eyes to the window and everything looks gray
Gray city, gray buildings, gray roads, gray rain
Everything in this world is slow. <<

Seokjin stands up and takes a quick shower.

When he gets back, a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair still dropping, he sees a new message on his phone.

“Kookie is sick, Jimin is looking after him, Yoongi is still sleeping, Hobi dancing, Tae watching him and I want to write a little. Guess everyone has a day for themselves today. Enjoy the silence ;)”

A day for himself.

He decides to go outside.

>> I think that I should just go outside
Without even an umbrella
I can clearly hear the rain hitting the earth
I smile, it’s the best background music
Like a crazy guy, I start to hum
I wonder what time it is. <<

Seokjin walks around aimlessly.

He is completely wet by now, walking in the middle of heavens tears.

Or are it his own?

He doesn't know.

Can this school really be the answer?

He doesn't know either.

Seokjin stops in his tracks and looks at the sky.

>> With a light gray background, why am I standing here?
I don’t know if I have a lot of thoughts or no thoughts at all.<<

He knows it isn't the answer for him.

He can see it's not Hoseoks either.

Or Yoongis.

But maybe it will open up a door for Jungkook and Namjoon.

A door to a bright future.

And who is he to be the one who stands in their way.

Even if it's not helping with his dreams.

>> The rain stops and the reflection in the puddle
I see myself looking more miserable today. <<

But why is he still feeling so uncomfortable?

There is just something that doesn't fit.

Like no matter how hard they will try,

no matter how smart Namjoon,

or how talented Jungkook.

That this school won't get them anywhere.

Just making their lives more complicated.

Without saying anything, looking at the world
There, a not so beautiful me is looking at myself. <<
