After 4 hours of surgery, the operating room finally opened signaling that the surgery has just ended. The family members were all waiting outside hoping to get some good news regarding the surgery. Jaejoong walk out first and was surrounded by the patient’s family members.

“How is he?” the patient wife asks while looking at the surgeon. Jaejoong smiled and stated that the surgery went well and they just need to wait for the patient to wake up so they can do necessary tests.

“Thank you so much Dr. Kim” the family members said in unison

Jaejoong shakes his head and pointed at Jeonghan who just step out of the room, He look around and saw the other people looking at him “he’s the one who discovered the condition of your husband, if not for him, we won’t be able to figure out that he needs surgery.” He said

“What is your name sir?” the wife asks as he held on Jeonghan’s arms

Jeonghan glance at his senior then at the woman in front of her “My name is Yoon Jeonghan.” He replied

The woman smiled as he shake jeonghan’s hand nonstop and said thank you a couple of times. Jeonghan just smiled and answered that he’s just doing his job and bowed when he excused himself to leave

“hyung, what is that for?” Jeonghan asks while looking at Jaejoong, they are on their way back to their department still wearing their scrub suit.

Jaejoong smiled and glance at the younger man, “credit should be given to someone who did their job, and that is you. I should not be getting all those appreciative comments when it was you who save the patient.” He answered

“I still owe it to the best mentor in town. “ Jeonghan answered as he smiled widely

Jaejoong nods his head in agreement “I know, and please let Dr. Jung know when you meet him, how awesome I am today.” He replied as he pats Jeonghan’s head

“Will sure do, but I don’t think he will like it if we were late for the morning call.” Jeonghan said while staring at the taller man in front of them

“Dr. Kim and Dr. Yoon, where have you been? Didn’t you know that we have a morning meeting today?” Dr. Jung Yunho asks, He is the Head of their department next to the chief who also happens to be Dr. Kim’s lover of 10 years.

Jeonghan bowed his head and glance at Jaejoong who didn’t say anything aside from smiling nonstop “sorry about that Dr. Jung, me and Dr. Kim just finished an emergency surgery so we are not able to attend the meeting earlier. “ he replied

“I thought you have an appointment early this morning?” Yunho asks while looking at Jaejoong. He was surprised that the blonde guy is working hard early this morning. When most of the time, he will just popped out when he feels like going to work.

Jaejoong chuckled and pulled Jeonghan closer “you see Dr. Jung, my top student needs someone like me to help him out. The patient could have died if not for my license.” He replied

“When is your final exam?” yunho asks now looking at Jeonghan direction. He didn’t like the idea of having Jeonghan in their department at first, since he doesn’t have his license yet and their department requires someone who has the skills and experience but seeing how Jeonghan works hard compared to the other senior doctors from their department impresses him a lot

Jeonghan glances at his phone and sighed “its two days from now.” He answered, a little anxious since he has been studying all this time and he is still nervous

“Why don’t you take a leave first while preparing for the exam, bright persons like you need to chill out and relax, right Dr. Jung?” Jaejoong ask while looking at the older guy, winking as if trying to get his approval

Jeonghan shakes his head and smiled “No, I mean I am okay. I can manage. It’s just an exam, I don’t want to burden anyone while I am away.” He answered

“Nope, I’d rather have you focus on your exams and grab the top spot; it will make things easier for us, once you have your licensed you can work on your own free will, without your annoying seniors, shadowing you.” Jaejoong replied as he pats Jeonghan’s back

Yunho nod his head in agreement and smiled “well, I guess you are on your week off then.” He replied

“Well if you insist, I’ll go ahead and do that. Thank you Dr. Kim and Dr. Jung.” He replied while bowing his head

“Now that we settle things out, I need some coffee and bread. I am hungry.” Jaejoong said as he entered their department leaving yunho and Jeonghan alone

Yunho pats jeonghan’s arms and smiled “Hope everything turns out well, you have been working hard for that day to come. “He added

“I am actually nervous Dr. Jung, I don’t know if I studied well enough.”  Jeonghan said while sighing deeply.

Yunho chuckled and pats Jeonghan’s head “I know you’ll do good, imagine your Mama Jaejoong crying if he will not see you here one week after.” He said before leaving

Jeonghan smiled and nod his head. He needs to do a better job then since a lot of people are expecting something from him. He took a deep breath and entered the office where he was greeted
