It was the start of a new year in high school, new class and new seatmates. Jun Sohee was more than glad when her best friend Minae announced that they had the same homeroom. She didn't have problems with socializing but she was most comfortable with Minae, they've been best friends ever since the first year of highschool. Minae wasn't that hard to approach. In fact, she was a very easy person to be friends along with her friendly vibe.

"I miss school." Sohee had a mini heart attack when she heard those kind of words came from her best friend.

She patted her right ear with a shocked look on her face, "Did I heard that wrong? Or is Minae not okay today?"

Minae lightly slapped her arm with a frown, "I like school, okay? Last year, I only disliked it because of our homeroom teacher."

Oh, yes! How could Sohee not remember her first year homeroom teacher who liked to compliment boys and criticize the girls.

"She was the worst to be honest."

Minae groaned, "She absolutely was, remember that time when she talked about how short my skirt was?"

"It wasn't really that short-" "Exactly!" Minae exclaimed.

"It was a nice length for a high school student like me, just because she wear skirts that's longer than her knees doesn't me she can-"

As soon Sohee saw a familiar woman walking to their direction, she quickly covered her best friend's mouth. Minae frowned before she looked up to meet the right person she just talked about, trying her best to look calm.

"Jun So Hee," The woman eyed her from her head to her toes before letting out a smug smile on her a-bit-wrinkled face.

Sohee smiled awkwardly before greeting with a little head bow, "Hello, Jung seonsaengnim."

She nodded before averting her attention towards Minae, "Is that you... Kang Minae?"

Minae moved the hands that were covering before doing the same actions as Sohee, "Yes, seonsaengnim."

The elder woman smiled at the two students, "Well, it's nice to see you both again this year but it's such a shame since I'll only be teaching the first year students. I do hope I get to teach the senior students next year, it'd be nice if I had students like Jongin or Sehun but it's their last this year, or maybe even Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook-"

Sohee gaped at her ex-homeroom teacher while Minae couldn't help but feel disgusted. You don't know how happy they felt that she was not their homeroom teacher this year.

"But anyways, I do hope being in the same homeroom as you two next year." She said half-heartedly.

"I hope not," Minae muttered. Sohee lightly nudged her arm before putting on a huge fake smile, feeling glad that the elder didn't heard Minae's comment.

'We hope so too, Jung seonsaengnim."

Without wasting anymore time, Sohee politely told her that they were in a hurry to their homeroom so they had to go. They bid her goodbye and quickly left to the right directions. 15 minutes around her was already like hell to them.

"Glad that was over." 

"Yeah, I know right? Who knew such teacher existed in this world? And the worst part is, out of all school it just had to be our's!" Minae complained and she couldn't agree even more with her hest friend about that.

They finally reached their new homeroom, most of their classmates were the ones from last year but there were a few new faces that they didn't quite recognize. Each students have their own seats that they were assigned, sadly, Sohee and Minae weren't assigned to seats that were close to each other.

Sohee's was two seats away from the window which was in the middle row of the room while Minae's was placed right in front of the boards. 

"Who do you think is our homeroom teacher this year?" asked Minae who was sitting across Sohee. She had requested to change seats with the girl who sat in front of Sohee and they both had an agreement to exchange only for temporary until the teacher arrives.

Sohee shrugged, "I don't know but one thing for sure, it's not Jung seonsaengnim."

Minae scrunched up her nose at the name, "God must have heard my prayers last year."

"Hey, you two!"

The voice caught their attention as they turned their heads in sync to the group next to them. They recognized their faces from the girls who were in the same homeroom as them last year.

"You're Jun Sohee and Kang Minae from the same homeroom as us on the first year, right?" If they weren't wrong, the one asking them was Soojung.

"Yeah, if I'm correct- you're f(x), right?"

The one who looked like a dude nodded, "We remembered you guys from last year, but we didn't really talk much."

Sohee shrugged, "We talked to some people but weren't really close to them."

"That's probably because we both came in late. Sohee entered here on the second day while me I entered a week after due to an accident that happened." Minae told them.

Luna had her eyes wide open, "An accident? What happened?"

"I was riding a bike to the grocery store when some bastard hit me with his car-"

"He did paid for your hospitality." Sohee cut her off before Minae continued, "Still, he should remember the laws to not play your phone while you're driving."

"Anyways, I got hospitalized for a week because of my leg. After I got discharged from the hospital, I had to enter my first day of high school with a limping leg. Right when we both first entered, everyone already had their own cliques and groups. That only left me and Sohee together." Minae and Sohee both grinned at each other, remembering the first time they met. 

She was lucky to have Minae as a friend, although she might be a bit annoying sometimes but she learned to accept her. They were like sisters to each other.

F(x) nodded. "Well all of us were from the same middle school-"

"Except for me." Jinri voiced out as Amber went on, "Yeah, except for her. Jinri went to an all girls school but she was friends with Vic and so she introduced us to her-"

They went on talking like as if they were all friends for a long time, Sohee and Minae couldn't help but notice the click they had with the group.

The whole class attention then went to the opened door that revealed a boy with earphones stucked in his ears as he entered the room. He showed no reaction when he turned his head and saw the whole class looking at his way.

Sohee looked around as she saw the whole class looking at him, they probably thought that it was the teacher entering the homeroom.

The sound of someone clearing his throat had everyone looked away as they seem to start talking about him. The boy shrugged it off as he made way towards his assigned seat.

"Ah, it seems like we'll be sharing the same homeroom as him." Luna clicked her tongue.

Sohee gave her a confused look, "What about him?"

"Who's he? Why does everybody seem to be aware of his presence so much?" Minae raised a brow, curiosity filled her mind.

"He's Kim Hanbin. He's known to be cold towards everyone in his surrounding, but he has friends and they're probably the only ones that he's actually close to. His friends are Bobby and Jinhwan. How they became friends is still a mystery because considering Bobby's and Jinhwan's personality are absolutely different than Hanbin's." Soojung explained.

"Rumours had it that they were friends since elementry." Luna added, "Hanbin's personality kind of confuses other people because he was surrounded with people who was the absolute opposite of him. He's cold and mysterious."

"Why is he cold to everyone?" Minae asked.

Soojung shrugged, "Nobody knows besides Bobby and Jinhwan. But I heard he was like that ever since he entered high school."

"How about before?" Sohee's turn to ask.

"Haven't heard about it yet," Amber shook her head.

Minae snorted, "He has the looks but not the personality."

"There were girls who tried to confess him but got rejected harshly."

Sohee was about to ask more about him until the teacher walked in and everyone rushed back to their seats.

"Welcome back to school everyone, I'm Hee seongsaengnim and I'll be your homeroom teacher for this year." The teacher greeted and introduced himself before moving on to take the attendance for today. One by one the students raised their hands as he called out their names.

Sohee started to wonder how her second year in high school will be while waiting for name to be called. She could only remember what her parents had reminded her.

Be respectful to the teachers. Stay out of troubles. Get good grades.

She promised them that she'd make sure to follow their rules especially the second one. They also told her about making more new friends also something about not having any relationships until the end of high school and her mother starts talking to her dad about how she disapproves to 'not having any relationships' part. After that, she had already forgotten what happened.

Pfft- what relationships? She thought of how ridiculous it was for her parents to even talk about that far, she was absolutely sure that those kind of things will never happen.

"Kim Hanbin!"

Sohee snapped out of her train of thoughts as she turned to look at the person who sat next to her with his hand raised.

Wait- since when was he there? How could she not noticed him when he had be sitting there the whole time? So, does this mean he heard the little girl talk she had with Minae and F(x) about him? Well he didn't seemed bothered at all, either he always have the blank face on 24/7 or he was already used with people talking behind his back. If that's it then why would she be bothered-

"Sohee..."

The whisper had made her realized that she was staring at Hanbin the whole time and had not heard the teacher calling out her name.

"Jun Sohee?"

"Y-Yes, seongsaengnim!" She stuttered before raising her hand.

The teacher gave her a judging look, "You should be more alert next time Ms Jun."

After she apologized, he went back to checking the attendance. She ducked her head with eyes tightly shut and facepalmed herself, cursing at herself for making an embarassing scene.

Sohee turned to look at the girl beside her and whispered a quick thanks. Soojung chuckled, "What are friends for?"

It was the first day and she had already embarassed herself. Great going, Jun Sohee!

So how was that? I tried thinking of a good way to do the 1st chapter, I apologize for the grammar errors and spellings since i'm quite in a rush right now.

My exam will start on Friday which means I won't be updating for probably 2 weeks because I have to focus on studying.

I'll apologize before hand and hope you'll be patient with me. I really do hope you enjoyed the 1st one tho- Well, anyways wish me luck on my exams o/
