a/n: Rework of the discontinued 2012 fanfic EXOPlanet, set in a dystopian alternate universe, a victorian era with a steampunk influence in which once abundant worlds Nox, and Die have fallen into an uninhabitable ruin. Names and numbers are determined by the government, and race is defined solely through a person’s surname. A creationist story, inspired by the Chinese philosophy of the Yin and Yang, the Chaos Theory (Butterfly Effect), and EXO's debut music video MAMA narration. 

The title comes from ‘exo’ meaning ‘outside’ and ‘genesis’ meaning ‘origins’, part of the Panspermia Theory which suggests “life originated elsewhere and was spread to Earth”.

I've had this idea in my head for almost four years. It's about time I got it out.
