Hae confidently walks up to the double doors, his brain still parsing the words written above the handles, the distinctly foreign English instead of his usual Korean. He pushes the door even before his brain translated the words to "Pull" so he was unceremoniously crunched up against the unyielding door.
Hyuk just cackles behind him.
2. Who doodles little hearts all over the desk with their initials inside them - hyuk
Hyuk was bored in class, and before he knew it, he had vandalized his desk with little hearts with his and Hae's names inside of it. When he realized what he'd done, his ears were flaming red and he furiously tried to write over the doodle by doodling something else.
Gahd, when will he stop crushing on his best friend.
3. Who starts the tickle fights - hyuk
It's movie weekend over at Hyuk's house and Hae had just finished microwaving their third bag of popcorn. He goes back to the den where the lazy Hyuk was already sprawled on the sofa, just waiting for the food and the nth movie to start. It irks him that the lazy guy just silently gestures for Hae to get the remote, where he had left it earlier just out of Hyuk's reach.
He was about to tell Hyuk off when the other guy's eyes narrowed and he reached for the one thing he could reach - Hae's sensitive waist. The tickling didn't stop until Hae gave up and got the darned remote.
4. Who starts the pillow fights - hae
Summer camp and Hyuk knew he had just fallen asleep after a long day of orienteering in the camp woods. So who the hell let beast Hae into his room and start jumping on his bed?!
Hae was shouting good morning into the still groggy Hyuk's ear, and knowing that the lean boy is no morning person, took a pillow and whomped Hyuk with it. Hyuk was now wide awake and irritated. The way he whomped a pillow back at Hae was not exactly gentle.
5. Who falls asleep last, watching the other with a small affectionate smile - hyuk
Hyuk is back from a late schedule, blearily making a beeline to his bedroom. Only to find Hae had already hogged his bed, fast asleep. Well, he had sort of expected it, when he had called earlier to tell Hae that movie weekend was off since rehearsals would go late that Saturday.
Hyuk finished his toilet and quietly got onto his bed, careful not to wake Hae. He settled his head on the pillow, watching Hae for a few moments before he fell asleep with a smile still on his face.
6. Who mistakes salt for sugar - hae
Hyuk took a swig of chocolate drink from his mug. And promptly spat it out. The horrid tasting drink was still dribbling down his chin when Hae burst into the dining room to tell him he'd mistakenly put salt into Hyuk's drink. Again.
7. Who lets the microwave play the loud beeping sound at 1am in the morning - hae
Hyuk had refused to get up and drive Hae to the 24-hour diner down at the market. So in an effort to assuage his hunger and irritate Hyuk, Hae left Hyuk's bedroom door open as he popped food into the microwave one after the other, and let the microwave keep beeping loud at an ungodly 1 o'clock in the morning.
8. Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines - hyuk
Hae was about this close to finger flicking Hyuk on the forehead. He's being consulted again about what Hyuk should say to cozy up to his crush on next week's school soiree. Hae swears he wasn't jealous of the girl, because he definitely would not want to be told, "So, I hear you like to dance, 'insert inappropriate comment here' " as a conversation starter.
9. Who rearranges the bookshelf in alphabetical order - hyuk
Hyuk takes one look at the mess of books they've made for their study session. Hae was long gone, back at his own home for a change. So Hyuk was the one left to tidy up the den before Mom blisters his ears about the mess.
Hyuk cleans up in no time, perfectly content he put the books back onto the shelf from zero to Z.
10. Who the spoon when they’re baking brownies - hae
Hae had the misfortune of being on baking duty again for the brownie sale at the school fair. So Mom's clean kitchen was turned into a disaster area in no time but Hae's lips smacked with satisfaction as he the spoon clean of the brownie batter. Perfect, he thinks, just the way Hyuk would like it, as he popped the nth tray into the oven and wait for the brownies to bake.
11. Who buys candles for dinners even though there’s no special occasion - hae
Hyuk comes home to find the lights dimmed instead, with a flicker or two coming from the dining room. The gummy smile would already be on his face to find Hae inside waiting for him with a chicken-and-pizza-takeout candlelit dinner.
12. Who draws little tattoos on the other with a pen - hyuk
Hae carries on with the conversation from one of the soccer boys even as he held out an arm for Hyuk to doodle on. The drums and trumpets blared loudly down the school grounds, signaling the start of their soccer match with the rival school. Hyuk finishes on time before hauling his own off to the field ahead of Hae, who was fondly smiling at the Nemo tattoo Hyuk penned onto his arm.
13. Who comes home with a new souvenir magnet every time they go on vacation - hae
Hyuk's bedroom door opened with a blast as the whirlwind named Hae came barreling in to greet him after a week in Japan, and of course, to give him the mandatory souvenir gift. Hae didn't even wait for Hyuk to receive the gift, climbing over Hyuk's body on the bed to get to the study table and add the magnet to the other magnets already displayed there.
14. Who convinces the other to fill out those couple surveys in the back of magazines - hyuk
Hae crunches his eyebrows together in concentration as he seriously considered the question staring back up at him from the back of the magazine, asking him about his usual booty call position. Why the hell is Hyuk making him answer these survey questions again?
