He was such a cold man. So so cold.

No smile. No warm words. Not even an acknowledgement of his presence.

And this man was none other than his husband.

It was the day of their wedding yet he stood there as though this was the last place he wanted to be.

Silent and foreboding.

They were cutting the cake but he barely even saw the white icing and the blue rose swirls.

His parents clapped and raised their champagne flutes, laughing with his new set of parents.

In laws.

It sounded like calls of doom, those laughs.

All his life he was told not to talk to strangers, yet here he had been married to one.
