He never thought that he would meet him like this. He never thought he would meet him ever.

He was supposed to be in New York wasn’t he? That’s where he had gone after they had…they had separated.

Yet here in Milan, the lawyer sitting beside the businessman that he had come to pitch his company’s proposal to, was none other than Cho Kyuhyun.

He doesn’t remember how the meeting went. The handshake at the end of it all seemed to be something to celebrate. Maybe. He wasn’t too sure.

And when he automatically moved to shake the hands of the lawyer, a thousand memories flooded his mind. Memories that he had stubbornly buried deep inside.

The smiles, the laughter.

The kisses and the sweet words.

The fights and the jealousy.

The harsh breakup and the bitter end.

And as he watches him walk away, a customary one step behind the business tycoon, he realizes, ‘Now they were nothing but strangers with memories.’
