I squint my eyes trying to adjust to the bright lights glaring at me. As my eyes slowly start to adjust I look around the room at I

found myself waking up in. Where am I? Only till my eyes stopped on the monitor and the followed the iv drip down to my

hand did I realize that I was in a hospital. I notice a small petite nurse standing at the end of my bed. Trying to get her

attention I try to speak but all that comes out of my mouth is a harsh low raspy sound. Hearing my pathetic try at speaking she

turns around with a shocked look on her face. She rushes to my bedside and leans close. 

"Miss? Are you awake? Can you hear me? How are you feeling?"

Feeling overwhelmed by her sudden outspokenness I try to shrink down in my sheets. Noticing my retreat she leans back and

takes a deep breath. Noticing a small cup of water on the nightstand by my bed I motion for it. She gladly grabs the cup and

opens one of the drawers and pulls out a straw and puts in the cup for me. After helping me sit up she lifts the cup up to my

face and I drink the heavenly dew, never in my life have I been so grateful for water. After a couple of refreshing sips did my

throat start to begin feeling normal instead of like a desert. "Why am I here and what happened" I manage to whisper but I

cringe at the pain it brings me.
