Memoirs Of My HeartChapter 1. Buried Inside
It’s been a months now since I last saw her at the school garden yet I can’t stop thinking about her (have been thinking about her… always) Her warmth radiates and her grace overflows. I can sense how loving and caring her personality is but I don’t know her(anymore) like her ‘stalker fans’ do. I could only look from afar and admire that living work of art who always look so perfect even without trying so hard. One smile from ‘her’ face and tada she’s perfect in my eyes already. Who’s she you might ask? It’s the same girl I always talked to you about, that same girl who gives me chills and makes my heart jum –
“Oh my gosh…” Jessica managed to say before slamming her journal aside and safely tucking it into her pillow.
She was shocked as her door swung wide open, revealing her in cute pajamas with printed bunny’s as she lied across her bed writing in her journal.
“Don’t you even knock Krystal? It’s freaking early in the morning,” Jessica said coolly as she shot a stare at little jung.
“It’s time for school Jessica and WE ARE GETTING LATE… you haven’t even had breakfast yet!!”
Krystal said in panic, pulling her sister out of bed…now dragging her to the closet to get changed.
“ppalli(quickly) Jessica, I don’t want to be late, you can write in your stupid journal later, get dressed. N.O.W.” Kyrstal sat at the end of the bed, sighing out loud (you’re so slow at everything unnie) Krystal thought to herself as she watched her sister slowly dresses herself with their elegant uniform.
Jessica stood frozen at the mention of her ‘journal’ which was supposed to be private and for her eyes only. (guess you could never hide anything from younger siblings eh’) Jessica thought as she continues getting ready.
“Wait Krys, since when did you know about my diar—err—journal?” tension beginning to rise but she managed to act normal.
“I’m your sister. It’s my job to get the inside scoop of your mostly boring life. And besides as if I could get anything from it… you don’t even name ‘her’ and Im so dying to find out who the heck she is. Im not gonna stop digging until I find out.”
Could it be a new found love? Could she give love another chance? Is she over the past?
These questions played in Krystal’s mind as she looked at her sister mixed with curiosity and worry.
Now Jessica is finished dressing up and Krystal immediately grabbed her sister’s arm and dragged her out of the room.
Jessica broke their contact and went back to the room, “Wait, my journal,” she grabbed it from under her pillow and put it safely in her bag.
Krystal couldn’t do anything but roll her eyes.
“Why can’t you just leave it,” Krystal gave a slightly pissed questioning look and handed her a paper bag “Here’s your breakfast and also your lunch since there’s no time for you to eat.. aigoo im such a caring little sister that everybody could have asked for but no~ I have to be stuck with you.”
“Aish I deserve more credits than this,” Krystal thinking out loud.
She dragged her sister out of the house once more and they couldn’t stop bickering. Guess that’s one of the things Jungs are good at.
“I just have to bring it. This is the only way my private thoughts can be safe from an annoying brat like you,” Jessica said.
“Ha! If you want your thoughts to be private, keep it in your mind. DUH!! Everyone knows that. Why do you even write these “private thoughts” of yours? If it was never meant to be read, why write? Tskk.”
Jessica is somehow amused. Well, Krystal made sense after all.
The bus stopped. Krystal got up from her sit. They arrived at school with 15 minutes to spare.
Krystal glanced backed at her sister who seems to be in deep thoughts. Is she thinking of ‘her’ again?
“Ya~ slowmo-, we’re at school already if you haven’t realized it yet.”
Jessica snapped back into reality, got up and went out of the bus before Krystal.
Krystal was slightly heartbroken that Jessica takes her as someone invisible.
(why does unni keeps treating me like a ghost? I’ve done everything I could to bring her back.. the way we used to be, the way she used to be… did I lost her completely? No, she’s the one acting like a ghost. After that day she just stopped……living.) Krystal thought bitterly of the past as she tries hard to hold back the tears. It was the past that took her loving sister away from her and that person who made her sister into a complete stranger.
Krystal brushed it off and hurriedly walked behind her sister’s fast pace.
“If it wasn’t for your stupid diary, I would think you are not capable of having feelings anymore Jessica,” She said these words full of hurt but it failed to reach Jessica’s numb heart.
“I still have feelings; I just forgot how to feel,” Jessica said and sighed loudly.
She’s getting even more depressed at the thought of ‘feelings
