Chapter 2
It's my faultRyosuke's pov
I opened the door and told my mother I'll come along.
During the rode over, I feared not seeing Mirai again. All our moments flashed through my head. Even though they were unintentional, I wanted to make more memories with her. She had stood by my side, taken care of me of her own volition. She had also worried for me.
'Ryosuke, drink this medicine,'Mirai ordered. I refused.
'No means no,'I told her weakly but stubbornly.
'Ryosuke, you are very sick. Please drink this so you'll get better. Since I'm here, please drink thus for me?'she entreated
'I didn't ask you to come,'I barked. "Why did she have to come? I was just fine on my own,"I thought to myself. But when I looked at her and saw the hurt in her eyes, I found myself saying,'fine. I'll drink it.' A smile lit up her face. 'Why are you smiling?'
'You did it for me,'she gushed happily.
'No I didn't,'I denied fiercely. 'I did it for me. Do you want me to die just because of this medicine?'
Her smile turned into laughter. She knew what I said was untrue. Or not the whole truth. I didn't say anything else but settled for smiling at her.
We arrived and went to see Mirai. Mirai's parents were waiting outside the operating room. In that moment, Worry hit me.
'What happened? Why are you outside?'my mother asked what I didn't dare to say.
