I didn't know for how long I ran. I just ran until I came to a stop as I looked at my surroundings and saw that it was nighttime already.
I took out my phone, saw at least twenty-seven texts and thirty missed calls from Christian. I put my cellphone back in my pocket.
But I heard something that didn't sound distant but relatively near. So, I followed it to an alley and saw a grown man get beat.
" Yah !." I shouted at them
They looked at me.
" Get out of here ! You stupid !." One of them shouted
I ran up to them then jumped a little bit in the air and laid a er punch in his face. The second got a roundhouse to the face successfully knocking him out.
The last one got a left hook, right hook then a jab a to the face finally an uppercut to finish it off. All three guys were knocked out cold, I turned my attention on the dude that was laying in the floor.
" Hey, you ok ?." I ask
He shook his head no
" What's your name ?." I ask as I help him stood up
" Kento Yamazaki ." He said in broken Korean
So, he's Japanese but what happened to him ?.
Then heard someone's stomach grumbled in hunger.
" How long has it been since you last ate something ?." I asked concern
" Almost four weeks ago ." He said
" Idiot ! You need food ! Come there's nearby food restaurant ." I said
As we begin walk to the restaurant when we arrived and I sat him down.
" Ahjumma !." I said
" Neh ." Forty year old women said and comes over
" Can I get a Bean Sprout Soup with Rice and Whole-Chicken Ginseng Soup as well also grilled beef ribs ." I said
" Ok ." She said and left
I looked at Kento, who obviously feels weird.
" You mind telling me what happened ?." I ask in Japanese
His eyes lit up.
" You know Japanese ." He said
" Hai ." I said
" That's so cool even though you don't look that Korean ." He said
" I know my father genes got me then my mother ." I said
He nod but still happy that he can talk to someone in Japanese with it.
" What happened ?." I ask
" I ran away, I got tired of being bullying in company even by my parents ." He said sullen
My heart ached for him, I mean how can you do that your own son that's just plain wrong.
" If you want you can move in with my half brother, who'd I adopted as my son ." I said
His face had brighten at my words.
" How old are you ?." I ask
" 21 ." He said
" Well tomorrow or the next day I'll enroll into college also sign you up self defense classes as well ." I said
" I know this must be rude to ask woman her age but how are you ?." He ask
" I'm 17 going to be 18 next week on the 23rd of September ." I explained
" But ain't there an age difference in Korea then in the US ." He said
" I know and yes in Korean age I'm 18 ." I said
He smiled
" Why are smiling ?." I ask
" Because you're the first girl that's probably treat and spoke to me like a human being ." He said
I nod and the waitress arrived with our food. Thank god I've been starving since lunch while Kento sat across from me. Been starving for three weeks now.
- Two Hours Later -
I ordered two more soups for Kento because boy was he starving.
" Thank you so much ." He said
" You're welcome but it's time to go home ." I said
I had ordered five more things to take home for Christian and even Talon that I totally forgot I feel like the worst sister in the world.
We reached the house Kento's eyes lit up I can tell that he was excited. To meet other people too.
When I walked through my door Kento's eyes were gleaming with happiness.
" I believe there's one more room open ." I said
He ran up the stairs to find his new room. I then heard Christian enter the room.
" I brought food ." I said
" Honor, we have a problem ." He said seriously
I went into CEO mode
" What is it ?." I ask
" We've been threatened ." He said
" What do you mean ." I said
He put something from his back pocket and handed it to me. It was scarlet red envelop addressed to me. I opened and took out the letter and began to read it.
" Stay away from the target or we kill the person that you love the most ." I read aloud
I noticed that it was written in actually blood ink.
" Whoever you are to be threatening me and my family, is the biggest mistake of their lives ." I said darkly
Christian began gulping in fear because when I'm in danger mode it's best stay away from me. One wrong thing can set me off to kill without a second thought or even with mercy as well.
" Is that still you ?." He ask
Not at the moment I ain't because this person just threatened the person I love the most. Talon.
" Find highly trained bodyguards and put them around Talon and Kento too. I want those bodyguards around at all times, make sure you do thorough background too ." I said deadly
" As you wish ." He said and bowed
He went back to his room to do research on bodyguards. I headed up to my room but I thought I stop to see how Kento's doing in his new room.
When I entered his room I was soon engulfed with a bear hug by Kento.
