“Eomma!”

Tiny feet thudded on the wooden floorboards and then onto the tiles of the kitchen. Yoongi whirled around with a smile on his face, dropping down into a crouch so his face was level with his child’s. The little boy sent back a perfect grin, eyes crinkling away and flung his arms around Yoongi’s neck. Yoongi let out a chuckle and wrapped his arms around the little boy’s waist, hoisting him up in his arms. Straightening back up, Yoongi placed a quick peck on the little boy’s chubby cheeks.

“Hi there Kookie. How are we this morning?” Yoongi cooed. Jungkook giggled; he absolutely loved it when people called him Kookie.

“Good!” Jungkook exclaimed. He bounced a bit in Yoongi’s arms as he continued talking. “When is appa coming home? I miss him.”

Jungkook gave an adorable pout, round eyes staring up at Yoongi. Yoongi smiled widely as he set the boy on an empty counter.

“I miss him too but appa will be coming home tonight.”

Jungkook cheered, kicking his feet up in delight. “Okay then. I’m hungry now eomma.”

Yoongi laughed and ruffled Jungkook’s hair. “Alright sweetie. Eomma was just about to start making breakfast. We’re going to have pancakes today.”

“Yay! Eomma you’re the best! Pancakes are my favourite.”

After breakfast, Yoongi and Jungkook sat on the couch to watch the morning cartoons. Since it was a Saturday, Jungkook didn’t need to go to kindergarten and they had the whole day to kill until Jungkook’s appa came home. Jungkook was noticeably more hyper and wouldn’t sit still, excited to see his appa. Yoongi was also very fidgety and feeling on edge. That sort of feeling when something you were really anticipating was finally going to happen.
