There are some people for which the world holds little to no joy and, for whatever reason, they have no desire to try and change that.  Myungsoo is one such person.  Bound to a loveless family that merely continues to show him how lousy the world really is, he'd rather be alone and 'independent' than risk letting someone else in.  Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the world is about to take matters into its own hands.
