Your brain short-circuited. "Huh?" His smile broadened. "Pick for me. What do you like?" "Oh." you uttered while staring at his smile. What coffee did you like again? And what was coffee?
"Girl." Tamar while giving you a pitiful look. "Don't." you hurriedly demanded, not wanting her nagging to sour your mood. "We're friends. That's it."
If he knew how you felt about him, would he still want to hold your hand? Or would he be considerate and keep his distance so you wouldn't get the wrong idea?
"Hey." You blinked in surprise at the man sitting on the floor. "Uh... hey." You looked past him a little ways and saw a set of double doors. "You making a run for it?" he asked and indicated the doors.
"Beautiful." he quietly stated with a soft smile. Feeling your face heat up, you swallowed once more. "Uh... th-thanks." That's when you noticed how close the two of you were standing to each other and you awkwardly took a step back.
'I finally did it. I confronted him about the lies and the late nights. He started yelling at me. Stuff about not trusting him like usual.' He gaped at his phone, not sure of what to make of the message. It was definitely sent to him by accident. Hitting the reply button, he began to type back that the person had the wrong number. Before he could finish though, another message came through.
"You're always taking me someplace I don't want to be." you told her. "So?" She shrugged her shoulders indifferently. "If I don't get out there and try my luck, how am I suppose to find my Prince Charming?"
"I don't want you to go!" "I don't care!" Silence descended on the two of you as you sat there glaring at him. Your anger instantly cooled though as you watched his eyes water. "Fine. Leave." he sneered.
There was only a second of hesitation before you turned to face him. "Do you want to see it with me?" His eyebrows raised in surprise. "What? Really?" "Yeah." you answered as you suddenly started feeling nervous. You your lips and took a deep breath. "How about Saturday night?"
"Yongguk's here too." Your heart skipped a beat as you inhaled sharply. "Oh." you uttered, feigning indifference despite feeling your face heat up.
"Are you ever not a complete ?" "Says the with a permanent stick up his ."
She paused and blinked at him in surprise for a moment before a shy smile spread on her face. "Thank you... Yongguk." His heart skipped a beat and he smiled as well. "You're welcome... Jinhee." As soon as her name left his lips, she blushed and looked away. There was no mistaking the happiness that shown in her eyes though.
"Now what's a pretty thing like you, doing in a place like this?" he teasingly asked as he slid in to the booth. You lifted your head and gave him a half-hearted smile. "Stop." Frowning, he instantly knew something wasn't right.
Yongguk shot his hand out and grabbed your arm to stop you. "Wait, what about this weekend?" He nodded at his girlfriend. "We're going to the movie. How about you join us? It'll be like old times." You swallowed as a knot grew in your stomach but you kept the fake smile on your face. "I... uh... wish I could but I have so much work to do and a book report and I'm just so far behind."
A yellow sticky-note on the arm of the couch caught your eye. Picking it up, your heart skipped a beat as you read the words on it.Where did you go? "Oh yeah, that guy was asking about you." You turned to your friend in both confusion and surprise. "What?" "Maybe a couple house before I called you." he informed you. "I told him I'd be calling you to come over as soon as I found my phone in all this." You furrowed your eyebrows. "Then where is he?"
"I'm Peter Pan." he continued. He walked up the tree, getting even higher. "Come on lost boy." Instantly pouting, you narrowed your eyes. "I'm a girl." you argued.
A noise drew his attention across the room to the front door. He peered through the crowd to see who the new arrivals were. When his gaze landed on one person in particular though, he quickly looked down as his chest constricted.
"Wait, please." Desperation made his voice crack. "I'm hanging.." "I miss you."
