Chapter 26: Fascinating how a being considered below humans has a deeper understanding of consent than us, huh? I didn't need reassurance to know that Chen is my favourite character out of all, but it damn sure feels pleasant to see it solidify time and time again. I had my nails done and they are significantly longer than I had expected so typing this message is a test of my patience and agility so bear with me and any potential errors.
Much like it had bothered me in the last chapter, Chen being much easily accepted into our society due to his good looks and genes is infuritating. Perhaps it is our most innate instinct to look for suitable partners to perpetuate the species that pushes us into overlooking certain things or excusing behaviours that would normally be taxed. Still, the idea that one's value, survival and existence depends on the cards shuffled by the combination of chromosomes is as equally repulsing as it is true.
Something tells me that the researching team is wrong regarding the possibility of a pregnancy occuring between a human and a werewolf, simply because the teste subjects weren't mates and their consent is doubtful. That, and with werewolves beings such instinct driven beings and connected to nature, artificial insemination goes against everything they stand for.
I wonder if Jordan becoming pregnant will be the innitiative the researcher team needs to finally and completely wake up and forsake their need for scientific data and help both her and Chen escape this man-made hell and drive them to safety and away from the malicious intents of both IU and YG.
Again, another amazing and satisfying update from you. Cannot wait to read more!
