APPEARANCE: Baram is pretty and tall, she looks like a super model. She also looks older for her age, people think she’s 21 instead of 16. The only plastic surgery was getting her eyelids done in 2017. She has weight fluctuations but good body proportions that make up for it.

STYLE: Baram has expensive fashion taste because that’s what she grew up around but she isn’t the best at putting things together. If it was up to her she’d wear random outfits with mismatching colors but apart of her rebranding is to dress more feminine with soft colors to seem more gentle. So her mom helps her with that everytime she has to go to the airport.

PERSONALITY

ESFP (The Performer), 8w7, Chaotic Good, Hufflepuff — Friendly, positive, strong, decisive, quick witted, energetic, childish, restricted, aggressive, unfiltered, bratty

Baram is the kind of girl that isn’t afraid to say what she’s thinking and let her intrusive thoughts win. Her comments would be things that people are thinking but wouldn’t dare to say, especially in a society like Korea. That’s why she had to change, an idol can’t be like that.

Originally Baram is very outgoing and energetic. She does what she wants with respect to the rules but if she doesn’t like something she’ll speak up and refuses to get walked all over. In life she knows what she wants and knows what she likes. She won’t do something she wouldn’t like and is decisive in her decisions. Her sense of humor includes poking fun at others and she’s a very quick thinker, her comebacks come in lightening speed. Even if they’re offensive she makes sure you know she’s joking and makes sure not to cross boundaries. She’s actually really positive and respectful to other people, she stands up for the underdog in many situations. Not the type to just go with the crowd or group thinking. She doesn’t mind standing out either, growing up on camera helped her be a natural entertainer and a good talker. Since she grew up with brothers she tends to be more aggressive with her members and people in general.

Even when she got a lot of hate it never stopped her from acting like her true self. She’s young, there are many things she wants to do and try. But she’s also still a teenager and has her childish moments and mood swing moments. One thing she doesn’t do is hide how she feels, she doesn’t see the point in that. Her parents were always open with her so that’s how she is too. If she’s mad she’ll tell you or you’ll see it on her face, same thing with sad. She doesn’t care about holding in her emotions for the sake of others because it shouldn’t be a taboo to go through emotions. Same if she sees someone make someone else upset or the vibes are off she’ll say something about it. She’s really an open book, there’s nothing to hide with her.

But her rebranding has taught her to be the opposite. Instead of interrupting the mc’s and leading the conversation she gets told to follow the script and sit back quietly. Now she’s not as loud as she used to be and if there’s something she disagrees with she can’t speak up. Her witty jokes are no more but she still can’t help to slip one in from time to time. Instead of moving so much she should stand still with her hands held in front of her. She was told because she’s tall and her dad was a judoka she comes off as aggressive, instead she should be gentle like a female idol should. She’s really different from before, but that’s only on camera. Her off camera personality remains the same though she wishes she can just be herself either way.

BACKGROUND

Baram was born to up and coming parents, her mom was an actress and her dad was judoka. They had her at the young age of 20 and it’s drew a lot of attention to their careers. The public expected it to be a career ruined but instead both of her parents ended up doing very well, Baram being born two more attention to them if anything.

Her dad was looking forward to having a son that he could teach judo to but instead he was born so that didn’t stop him from teaching her the sport. Her Dad actually didn’t want her to be a judo fighter, he just wanted her to be able to defend herself and know how to stand her ground but instead Baram ended up really loving judo. She wasn’t the girly girl that her mom was looking for but she still put her in dancing classes and acting classes so she could get into the performing arts.

Baram was the only child for a while so she was like her family’s princess. Her family‘s life wasn’t so luxurious until her mom started getting the big acting roles and her dad started winning championships. Both her parents actually came from humble beginnings and made their own success. Many people get the misconception that she was born into a wealthy family but the wealth didn’t start coming in until she was 2. That year her dad won gold at the Summer Universiade, Asian Championships and World Championships while her mom got her first major acting role as Han Yoori in Stairway to Heaven winning 2 awards for her performance. From then on her parents careers only went up.

Baram grew up around the cameras, her parents weren’t shy about holding her in interviews and letting her say a few words or letting wave to the paparazzi at the airport. They soon became a well known family for how wholesome they were, who wouldn’t love a family that wore matching outfits to the airport and award shows. Baram became a star on her own too, she started acting at a very young age and did commercials and modeling sometimes with her parents too.

Her parents were often busy year round but even when they hired help they rarely left Baram on her own. She was on set with her mom more often then at the gym with her father though. But either way her parents made sure to spend time with her when they could and travel whenever they could so she never felt like they were too busy for her. The thing she hated most was staying with her grandma who was way stricter than her parents. But Baram was booked and busy too even at such a young age.

Though the worst day of Baram’s life happened when she was 6 years old, her younger brother was born. She really hated the kid when he first came along because she didn’t want to share her parents love. But eventually she got over it and learned to live with the fact that a little brat would be invading her space. By the time Baram was 9 she had 3 brothers so she realized that there was no stopping her parents no matter how much she complained. The spotlight on her parents never slowed, usually women get out of the limelight after having kids but it didn’t stop her mom because she was still young and didn’t want to be a stay at home mom. She loved acting and still found time to do it though there were breaks in her career, she was selective on the dramas she picked and they were often hits. As for her dad his career was going so well that he got the name Korea’s Tiger, unbeatable, even winning gold in his division at the 2012 Olympics.

In 2013 their family decided to join the Return of Superman. For the first time ever the public was seeing their day to day life, Baram was used to being on camera but this was a whole new level. Viewers got to see her real personality and not everyone liked it, she was 12 at the time but often got called out for being rude. In reality she treated her brothers like any 12 year old would, her personality matched that of a pre-teen with brothers who were 6, 4 and 3 all with way more energy than she could handle at times. There were times she didn’t feel like helping her dad take care of them and times that she seemed annoyed for no apparent reason and times that she screamed at her brothers. When you’re forced to film all your life it is annoying, especially when the camera man is more focused on your brothers instead of you. The other families kids on the show were new to being on camera but Baram wasn’t so she didn’t try to fake who she was. Her parents parenting-style was even questioned for spoiling her not taking into consideration that it was a sensitive time and she was growing.

But it wasn’t all bad, the show also showed her goofy personality, close relationship to her parents and many talents. Her first judo competition win was featured on there, dance recitals, some behind the scenes of her modeling and filming for dramas. It actually helped her get into rapping too. Her family became good friends with Tablo’s family because Haru and her youngest brother were the same age and had a romantic thing going on, however that works for 3 year olds. But anyways, in an episode Baram and her siblings were being watched by Tablo while her dad was at a competition and he was playing some of his music. It was the first time Baram heard rap so she was really blown away and loved it. She tried to freestyle on the spot and it’s a moment that could still be seen on their YouTube channel today. This part got cut but Tablo actually told Baram that rapping comes from your heart like a diary, a good way for her to start rapping would be to start a diary. After that episode Baram could actually be seen writing a lot more, there would be times when her dad comes along and she whines covering her book telling him to go away. Baram started listening to rap music everyday since then and whenever she met with Tablo she rapped for him. She even got the chance to meet GDragon thanks to Tablo and rapped in front of him, another moment that could still be found on YouTube. He was blown away and jokingly said he would call YG right now. But when it was announced that Baram signed to YG not too long after the episode came out, it wasn’t taken well by netizens.

RELATIONSHIPS

💗 Parents — Shin Boyung and Ha Soowon — 08/11/1981 and 11/23/1981 — Ex Judoka turned Olympic Judo Coach and Actress and Model — ENFP and ESFJ
Baram’s has a great relationship with her parents, she’s not the type to hold back anything so they’re well aware of everything she’s going through. She might not tell them right away but eventually she always does. They’re always boosting her confidence and reminding her that she’s precious because they don’t want her to have insecurities from all the hate comments. They see it too and feel bad that they exposed her at such a young age so whenever she gets hate they blame themselves for it. Thats why whenever she asks for something they try to give it to her. But their relationship is really wholesome, before she goes to the airport her mom helps her pick an outfit that’ll impress and she sends a picture of all her meals into the family groupchat because her dad wants to make sure she’s eating well. They are still famous but not as much so as they used to be, her family stopped participating in The Return of Superman in early 2017, the year before that her dad retired judo and became the head coach for the Olympic team instead. Her mom still does acting and modeling and still wins awards from time to time.

💗 Brothers — Shin Baul, Shin Chiwon and Shin Hojin — 04/11/2007, 07/22/2009 and 12/10/2010 — Elementary Students — ESTP, INFP and ENFJ
As for her brothers, or the little s as she calls them, they’re annoying but she loves them anyways. Baul is the biggest pain in her , he disses her any chance he gets and despite the 6 year they literally fight. Even when he compliments her he has to say something mean and she always has a reply for the little brat. He did acting when he was younger but he’s more interested in judo. He’s the junior Judo champion in his age group and is expected to take his dads place. Chiwon is the smart one that even skipped a grade already. He isn’t interested in acting or judo but still is forced to do judo by their dad though he’s not good. He’s the nicest and most tolerable one, really camera shy and awkward. Baul and Hojin team up to make fun of him all the time and Baram always comes to his aid. Hojin is the youngest and future Lee Minho. He mostly does acting and because of that he’s a huge mamas boy and baby. He cries about everything but half the time it’s a fake cry to get what he wants. He looks up to Baram but still says that someday he’ll get more awards than her. He’s also a little flirt and has 3 girlfriends in elementary school right now. He was really popular on the show because of his relationship with Haru but also the fact that he tried to kiss almost all the girl kids.

💗 Mentor — Tablo — 07/22/1980 — Musician — ENTP Baram’s family is still good friends with Tablo. Her relationship with Tablo hasn’t changed much from when she was younger. She sees him as a mentor so whenever she’s stuck or proud of something she shows him. He always gives great feedback with genuine words of wisdom for her. She still sees him as one of the best lyricist and her biggest inspiration.

Friends — Bang Chan, Han Jisung and Changbin — 10/03/1997, 09/14/2000 and 07/11/1999 — 3Racha in Stray Kids — ENFJ, ISTP and ESFP
Baram got close to 3Racha while she was a trainee because they were majority rappers and lyricist like she wanted to be. She thought they were really cool and even though they denied her offer to join them they still let her sit in on their sessions. Her writing got a lot better because of them she even learned some producing. Chan is the nicest out of all of them, he views her as a younger sister that he often looks out for and Baram is always nice to him. Jisung and Baram are a loud duo when they’re together, Jisung was scared of her for a while because she flipped him over and is abnormally strong so he makes sure to be extra nice so she doesn’t kick his . But Changbin is Baram’s resident punching bag, verbally at least, she makes fun of him like crazy with Jisung and calls him gramps. He disses her too but not as much, he says it’s because he doesn’t wanna make her cry. He rather just calmly take all her insults. They care for each other deeply though and are really good friends. She feels closest to him out of all actually.

Best friends — Jeon Somi — 03/09/2000 — Singer — ENFP
Baram and Changbin are mute compared to how loud she gets with Somi. They’re both huge extroverts and talk in screaming whenever they’re together. No matter where she is her real personality comes out with Somi, they both can’t help but look like flailing idiots when they’re together. The whole Taekwondo vs judo thing has made them competitive over each other so you might see them randomly wrestling but don’t be alarmed it’s all playful. Somi has a lot of friends and through her Baram made friends with a lot of random idols too. Somi also knows all the drama all the time for whatever reason so gossiping over snacks has become a beloved pass time for them. Baram admires how Somi can stay herself and positive even though really hard times.

Best friends — Lee Chaeryeong — 06/05/2001 — Singer — ISFJ
Chaeryeong was one of Baram’s closest friends while at JYP. They went to the same highschool along with Somi but they were seatmates. Unlike Somi she cares about what others think more so she’s more externally composed and her personality comes through her savage comments. They have the same sense of humor so when you hear them talk with no context you’d think they hate each other but that’s just their friendly banter. They’d look nice and proper sitting with their backs straight and legs crossed but they’re quietly saying the most outrageous things. Chaeryeong treats Baram like her sister, really blunt and honest but also very loving and encouraging. Half of the time Chaeryeong looks like she’s done with Baram, especially when her and Somi are acting a fool she watches them with an unimpressed face but then joins them eventually. Thanks to Chaeryeong she didn’t fail some of her classes because she copied her homework often. After Itzy debuts they will both get a lot of hate so they find comfort in each other and send encouraging words all the time.

Girl crush — Shin Ryujin — 04/17/2001 — Singer — INTJ
Ryujin is Baram’s girl crush. She thinks she’s really beautiful and told Chaeryeong a bunch of times and everytime Chaeryeong rolls her eyes. Baram hypes of everything Ryujin does and is extra nice to her like Chan. She’d get a drink for Ryujin but not for Chaeryeong just to watch her whine about it. She’s actually a big fan of Ryujin because she’s really an all-rounder. She calls her her sister too because they have the same last name.

Friend — Son Chaeyoung — 04/23/1999 — Singer — INFP
After being in Sixteen Baram is friends with all of Twice but she’s closest to Chaeyoung. Her and Chaeyoung competed a lot while at JYP since they’re both rappers, they actually worked together a lot too to get better. For a while Chaeyoung felt like Baram should’ve debuted instead of her, it was just that Baram got more hate that’s why she didn’t. Since Chaeyoung debuted already she always has some advice for Baram and wants her to do well. She thinks Baram is hilarious and likes how she is and doesn’t want her change because of hate. They go on wholesome friendship dates like thrift shopping and painting or just write lyrics together sometimes. Baram is like Chaeyoung’s little sister but she calls her her little giant. Out of all of twice she mentions Rendezvous the most.

💗 Manager — Suran Suran is like a mom to Baram, there are many times that she scolds her like a kid for not listening. She calls Suran a meanie but then there are times that she cries in her arms too. She sees that she’s just a kid and tries to be understanding but it’s tiring for her too. Everytime Baram throws a tantrum or is being difficult she calls her parents.

💗 Manager — Wooseok Baram likes to make fun of Wooseok and get piggy back rides from him. Whenever she doesn’t want to walk anymore like her feet are tired from heels she jumps on his back. He plays with her often and he understands she’s still a kid so he plays along a lot. She likes to prank him the most.

TRAINEE LIFE:
💗 YG (2014–2015) JYP (2015–2017) Prism (2017–2018)
When Baram joined YG, the comments all screamed nepotism. If viewers paid attention during the Return of Superman she actually progressed with time and it wasn’t just something she did for fun she truly took it seriously. GDragon didn’t contact YG, neither did Tablo, he saw the videos himself and contacted her parents all on his own. Training was hard but not as hard for her because she came from a wealthier family, YG was known for treating their wealthy trainees better and she was on the younger end of the spectrum so overall she didn’t get as much pressure as other trainees. That’s not to say she didn’t have her hard times, other trainees thought the nepobaby wasn’t as talented as them. Other trainees talked behind her back and it was actually hard for her to make friends. Like the general public they assumed she got in because of GD or Tablo. She wanted to prove that she belonged there so she worked really hard to prove them wrong. No matter how good she was she couldn’t change their mind because she still got better lessons that the average trainee couldn’t get just because of her parents money. Taking a lyrics class with Teddy was for long time trainees but there she was sitting along with them. She even stopped showing up just to prove a point but it didn’t help much. That whole time her family was still on the Return of Superman and Baram would make occasional appearances still, since she was going through a hate train during training and puberty she didn’t have a good mood often so she also had to deal with hate from viewers.

In 2015 she left YG to join JYP instead, she told YG her concerns and he helped get her transferred. She thought being there would do her better since she didn’t know anyone from JYP. For a while she was actually happier there and finally made friends with other trainees. But then she got put on Sixteen and the hate train came again. At first it wasn’t so bad, Baram was probably the most outgoing trainee there and the most popular after Nayeon. But she got into controversy often for her comments and behaviors, the first time was on the first episode when she told Somi a judo fighter could beat a taekwondo fighter anyday, basically saying she’s better than her. People thought it was rude to say that and took it as her looking down on Somi since she was Minor and Baram was Major and Somi was showing off her taekwondo talents. Some even said Somi looked uncomfortable but actually they were good friends and Somi laughed after her comment though the editing cut it. The second time was when she stood up for Jihyo during the jacket filming when the director called her fat, later the director called her rude to JYP and the public agreed with her. The third time was during the pool game when Chaeyoung challenged her, Baram could be heard saying “yah shrimpy do you want to die?” while they were fighting. All the girls were laughing even Chae but viewers thought it was rude that she didn’t address Chaeyoung properly since she’s older and made fun of her height since she’s insecure about it. Since they’re both rappers Chaeyoung and Baram were actually close and had nicknames for each other like that, Chaeyoung called her a giant all the time but the viewers didn’t know that. In the end she was eliminated in the final episode.

Baram continued in JYP after that, the negative press prevented JYP from putting her in Produce 101. She was well known and popular but there was a lot of hate that came with her popularity. She continued training as normal, focused on improving her rapping and dancing. She still occasionally made appearances on The Return of Superman with her family to keep her relevancy, even giving a glimpse into her trainee life. The rest of the year went smoothly, she didn’t get much hate until 2016 when she went on Show Me The Money 5 with fellow labelmate Changbin. In her interview she talked about wanting to show a different side of her and the struggles she faces then when she rapped she cursed a few times but overall had a good flow and touching lyrics. She actually moved onto the next level though viewers focused on her cursing at 15 and said a nepobaby couldn’t have struggles. Despite making it to the next round JYP instructed her to drop out fearing it would only cause her more harm than good. Since Show Me The Money she laid low, she no longer appeared on The Return of Superman and focused on rebranding herself instead.

JYP planned to debut her in Itzy but she hated how long it was taking and left in late 2017. Immediately after she got contacted by Prism for Rendezvous and decided to join them instead.

MEDIA PRESENCE: Baram is well known amongst the general public in Korea, her whole family is. They saw her grow up in front of their eyes but not many are fond of her personality. Even though she was younger they still remember her for her constant attitude controversies and view her as rude. They often scrutinize everything that she does and try to tie it back to her being rude in the past even if it’s out of context. There are people out there that understand that she’s just a kid but since she grew up in front of the camera many have a lot to say about her like they know her personally. They’d admit that she does have talent though but her personality is what stands out more to them.

HEADLINES:
💗 She reads hate comments towards her during a group live stream and she storms out without saying anything. Usually she would say something but she can’t because she’s trying to show a gentler side of herself but she’s still getting hate when she’s doing everything right. Netizens have mixed comments about it.
💗 Her not wanting to give up snacks that she received during a fansign and running away from their manager to go talk to fans and take gifts for members too. Netizens call her irresponsible for making the manager worry and not listening

CAREER ASPIRATIONS: Baram’s rebranding from JYP was basically her learning how to hold herself back and act proper. So when she debuts she’s a whole different person than what she was before. Even then netizens still find ways to over analyze her actions and call her out for being fake or say they miss the old her. In the end she goes back to her regular self and not caring about the hate so much because either way people aren’t satisfied, and if you live for other people you’ll never be happy. Some future activities could be:
💗 MC for a music show
💗 Going on Show Me The Money again
💗 Song with 3Racha
💗 Stage collab with Itzy
💗 Going back to acting and doing really well

YANG JEONGIN
LOVE INTEREST

BACK-UP LOVE INTEREST: Han Jisung

DATE OF BIRTH: February 8, 2001
OCCUPATION: Vocalist and maknae of Stray Kids

PERSONALITY: ISFP (The Defender), 9w8, Neutral Good, Hufflepuff — Jeongin is an introvert around new people but an extrovert around his friends. He’s awkward and shy and gets flustered easily around strangers, especially around girls he has no idea how to act. He starts stuttering and would basically hide behind his hyungs if he could. But when he’s with them he’s like a big ball of sunshine, still a big kid that likes to make fun of his hyungs and cause mischief but also knows when to tone it down. He’s more cautious and cares what others think, prefers not to burden s with his problems so he keeps his worries to himself. He doesn’t like confrontation and gets awkward when it comes to standing up for himself. But he’s very disciplined and knows what he wants usually. He’s a good kid, mature for a 17 year old but still needs guidance emotionally.

LOVE STORY: Baram first met Jeongin at JYP, she was crushing on him the moment she saw him. Her first impressions were terrible though, Somi was tired of her gushing about him so she pushed her to him and she ended up bumping into him pretty hard. They both fell and hit their heads together but instead of apologizing Baram said, “watch where you’re going will you?” because she didn’t want to be the typical shy and flustered girl, she wanted to stand out. Since then she basically unintentionally bullied him. She called him a clutz whenever she saw him and pulled little pranks on him. Since she was friends with Chan and Changbin she knew where he was practicing usually and bossed him around whenever she could. She made sure to bother him at least 3 times a week so he could remember her well and he did. He was actually scared of her and in her mind her unorthodox flirting was working.

All of her friends knew she was crushing hard besides Jeongin himself. When she left JYP she didn’t have a way to contact or see him because she was so busy but she personally asked Changbin and Chan to mention her sometimes and he’s visibly tense up. She heard he’ll debut in Stray Kids and she can’t wait to see him again so she can finally make him hers. That doesn’t change the fact that she can’t flirt to save her life and that he’s still terrified of her and will probably avoid her at all cost. But hopefully with the help of her friends and members she can make it happen.
