APPEARANCE — Let's start with her height. Chou stands at about 170cm- which is pretty tall for the average Japanese-Korean woman, and she's proud of that. she had a growth spurt recently which resulted in her height boost- she's ridiculously happy about it you see, because she's now the second shortest in her family (her mum is the shortest, and the rest of her family are incredibly tall you see). Moving on, Chou weighs about 49kg (even with all that she shoves down ), which is slightly underweight for her height category but she's a dancer, so she has to always be exercising to keep her stamina in tip top shape. Next would be her features- since she was young, people have always commented on how she looks a lot older than her actual age- it was so bad to the point that there was once, she had to pay an university student's fare for the bus when she was in elementary school- she was pretty angry. She had a lot of baby fat, which made her look older but ever since she began attending dance school for real, and after she hit puberty, her features became significantly sharper, and soon everyone was complimenting her left and right- and she'd blush all the way. Anyway, on to her hair- over the years, Chou has experimented with many different hair colours but the one colour she liked the most on herself was dark auburn- she probably had that colour for the longest time. She also has a butterfly tattoo on her right shoulder- which her friend Jinae talked her into getting.
STYLE — Chou's style doesn't really go according to anything- she just follows instinct- and if her instinct tells her to wear that particular dress that day, she will wear that dress with whatever her instinct tells her to pair it up with. She doesn't care much about her dressing to be honest, but the one colour she doesn't particularly like wearing is black- seeing as how her favourite colour is white and yellow- if you ever put her in black and yellow, she'll just comment that she'd look like a bumblebee with a scowl on her face. Chou, even if she denies it, really likes cute clothes and practically anything as long as it's white or yellow. She can always be seen in dresses and heels, paired with a butterfly accessory of any kind- earrings, necklaces, headband, bracelets, etc. She has one section of her closet just for her different accessories.
PERSONALITY —
"The grass is always greener on the other side!" Chou prefers looking on the bright side of things- no matter how bleak and dark the situation seems, she will always find a brighter side to look to and cheer her team mates up. She's pretty much their Positivity Drug who just so happens to have an endless dose of positivity and cheerfulness. She's very encouraging and is the self-proclaimed encourager/motivator of the group. No one really knows why Chou has that much of energy even when she only gets like- 3 hours of sleep. Chou can be really hyper- as in really hyper- she could be bouncing off the roofs for no reason, especially after she eats her fruits in the morning. She's probably the most easygoing person you will ever know- usually it's something like "Hey Chou, do you want to catch a movie with me?" "Mhmm." and she just goes wherever you want her to go- she follows people very easily you see.
"Konnichiwa! Watashi wa Chou-chan desu!" She's really friendly to everyone- albeit too friendly at times. She warms up quickly to people and can easily strike a conversation with a complete stranger. She constantly invades others' privacy just by asking them a lot of questions or just by simply having skinship with them. Chou just simply loves talking to people and will never stop yakking once you let her start. When she meets a new person- and that person just so happens to be an attractive girl, her lesbo feels will start tingling and she'll automatically start casually flirting with that girl, though the girl will usually not notice- sad. In some cases, to Chou's delight, the girl will flirt back- though only teasingly. She can be a bit of a womanwhore sometimes too ( idek if this is a real word ). Yet, Chou's a lot more innocent than she seems- yes, she goes to clubs to participate in competitions and flirts with girls but this is a different thing. Chou is very clueless- she doesn't know half the things that teenagers do and yeah... Chou's extremely trusting and she'll believe whatever you say- gullible if you must- even if it's simply bull, she'll believe you because she has complete trust in you. She thinks she already knows the world but in reality, she doesn't. She's just like a little child- innocent and naive- not to mention that she always acts like a child, whining when you don't give her what she wants. She's honestly childish, always acting like a baby (e,g throwing tantrums) even though she's already twenty. She's ridiculously protective of her things and will strangle you if you touch anything that is hers- even with her permission. She's afraid that other people would destroy her stuff but she doesn't really seem to care if she's the one who breaks people's stuff.

She's loud too- loud and annoying, joy.She can be a little mad at times- considering the fact she loves talking to her stuff toy Russia mochi and she may even start giggling for no apparent reason. There has been more than once that her members have wanted to throw her into an asylum because she creeps them out- like really creep them out- for all you know, she could be eating rice with chocolates. Did I mention that her laughter is like the Undertaker's from Kurosuji? She's incredibly dramatic too- and overreacting for that matter- it's usually funny until she starts to go overboard and becomes the annoying little she is.
"Hey, I'm not that bad-!" Chou is a person who literally throws caution to the wind- I mean, she's pretty much fearless and this can be an extremely bad thing because one- she might do something really stupid which will make her regret for life, two- she'll cause unnecessary hurt to other and herself and three- well, she might die. She likes taking risks and usually doesn't think about the consequences- she's too carefree for her own good. She believes in this quote: "Do first, think later." There's this term called gut-talking which basically means that you don't think before you say something and Chou, oh Chou, always shoots without actually thinking if she would hurt that person- she's too honest to be nice at times. Chou usually speaks her mind and just lets flutter- she's not afraid to curse at someone too- she has one foul mouth, and she's always getting reprimanded for it. I'm not surprised if one day, she asks on variety shows if she can speak rudely. Chou is not one to lie- she always speaks the truth, no matter how upsetting or demoralizing it can be because the Vitamin C (Chou) will be here to cheer you up and make your day better- once she gets away from her food.
"There are no good or bad habits. All habits are, by definition, bad." She is insanely forgetful and careless- it's not even funny anymore. She constantly misplaces and forget where she puts her stuff- she once almost lost her cellphone because she left it on the seat in a restaurant- thank goodness the waitress was nice enough to have run after her to return it. Chou's really messy and lazy too- her room is in a mess, she calls it a dumpster but she doesn't actually bother cleaning it up. Chou can be a really impatient at times, I'm not even kidding. She always rushes people to hurry up whilst she herself takes her time- she's weird that way- or rather, she's a procrastinator who really doesn't get things done until the last minute. It's perfectly normal to see her panicking the night before an evaluation and practicing relentlessly, only barely passing the evaluations. She's also one who get restless easily- she can't sit still for more than 5 minutes because she'll start bouncing off the roofs again. Chou's emotions are usually in control and this causes her to be rash and think illogically- she doesn't think before she does anything, she just lets her emotions take her away and she makes stupid decisions a lot. She can be immature at times and mood swings do still affect her greatly. One moment she'll be happy and bright and the next, angry and irritable. Well, this only happens when she's on her period but she's really scary when she's angry.
"M-Matte! Who said I loved her!?" Chou, turns into a whiny and annoying mess whenever she's with Yezi- she just starts to cling onto the elder girl and starts whining about every single thing until Yezi slaps her and tells her to shut the hell up. That's usually what triggers Chou to go into full aegyo-attack mode and she'll give you those puppy dogs eyes that can never be resisted. Oh my, she wouldn't be too good for the ladies' hearts. Chou can be seen becoming a lot more touchy around Yezi- she hugs Yezi, she holds her hand, etc. She likes teasing the older girl too- and getting both of them into trouble.
"Umma! Appa! Imo! Baegagopa! Meogeosipeo!" Chou actually just lives for food- she can't live without it- seriously. All she ever thinks about it food, food food, What are we having for lunch today?, Eh- we're not having lunch!? Yadaaaaaaa! /does ugly sobbing/. She's really easy to bribe too- just give her food and she'll do whatever you wish. Did i mention that she'll eat anything you give her? Well, she'll eat it as long as it tastes good. Chou's very particular about her food- like all Japanese are- she cares about the taste and the presentation. There's a high chance that she'll refuse your food if it doesn't look nice- however, if you force feed her, she may actually eat it and ask for more- if it tastes good.
PAST — Hamano Chou was born on December 25, 1995 in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Kansai Region, Japan, five minutes after her sister Hamano Hana. Growing up, Chou's life was pretty much perfect, if you exclude the elder twin sister of hers who's always competing with her over the littlest of things. No, they didn't fight over things like attention from their parents because Chou was always closer to their mother whilst Hana was closer to their father. Being twins, they had similar talents- both excelled in their studies ( though Chou obviously did better in Math whilst Hana did better in Physics ), were incredibly pretty, and were awesome dancers. They picked up dancing after watching some random performance and decided to challenge each other in that aspect as well. While they picked up dancing to compete, they eventually grew to love it- though we can honestly say that Chou loved it more that Hana- because Hana only picked up to compete with Chou. She really did love it to no end though- even almost pursuing dance as a career when she was just a wee teenager in middle school- of course her mother talked her out of it- telling her to focus on her studies first.
TRAINEE LIFE — First of all, let's clarify how Chou entered LOEN/1theK in 2010. She was performing her signature routine, dubstep for a presentation/evaluation test for her school- it was a public event so many people, including talent scouts, were there to watch the kids perform. Chou's one of the best dancers in her school- if she does say so herself. While her performance might not have been as exciting as her peers', the scout was certainly impressed by the amount of control and talent she possessed to do the dance. The scout gave her a standing ovation, and approached Chou as soon as she got off the stage. It was a good thing that the scout was female because Chou would have never trusted a man. The scout told her that she had talent (which of course she knew) and told her to audition for LOEN. Chou's eyes sparkled- excited for a chance to prove male idols (and stans) wrong- that female idols were capable of being the best as well. She told the scout to take her to the LOEN building that very same day and she auditioned right away, performing another routine that wowed the (somewhat annoyed) judges, who were suddenly called out to do an evaluation. Needless to say, they passed her without much objected, and she was accepted into the LOEN Tree Family.

☄ Her Secret to Unlimited Energy; As idols, the ladies will probably get little sleep so what Chou does is that she'll stay up for the whole night until about 20-30 minutes before the sun rises and she'll knock out, waking up to feeling completely refreshed and energetic.
☄ Introductions; Whenever Chou introduces herself- whether it's to a stranger or an introduction on TV, she'll bow like a gentlemen and blow a kiss to the camera or kiss the other lady's hand.

☄ Sleeping; Chou can't sleep if there isn't anyone patting her to sleep- but she's always the last to sleep so who does she expect to pat her? Most of the time, she ends up patting herself to sleep.
☄ Butterflies; Chou is crazy over them- and people usually say that she's self-centered because her name means butterfly, and she loves butterflies a lot, indicating that she loves herself a lot as well. In any case, she doesn't care and her favourite butterfly is the Two-Tailed Swallowtail Butterfly- becasue it's yellow.
☄ Insects; Chou dislikes every insect that is not a butterfly- she's on the fence with moths because they're similar to butterflies, but she really hates other insects, especially ants- they're the bane of her exostence. She'll scream bloody murder and kill the ant the moment she sees it.
☄ Past Loves; Chou's eyecandy back then before she turned lesbian, was Backstreet Boys- she really did love them a lot- expecially their vocals, but she mostly liked Nick Carter because he was just so cute back then. She collected many of their albums and listened to them everyday- she doesn't appreciate their appeal annymore so now she mostly listens to them for their awesome music. Chou joked around with her father a lot- they may not be as close as she is to her mother but they definitely get along better than other kids she knows. She openly father and vice versa. That all changed after his affair though- Chou sees him in a different light now, and she won't hesitate to snarl at him and show her distaste whenever she gets the chance.

In all honesty, Chou is a whole lot closer to her mother while her sister is closer to their father. Chou knows that her mum is the one who knows her the best so she usually shares about almost everything. She usually annoys her mother whenever she gets the chance by poking her or just by being her usual annoying and loud self. The two act very much more like friends than mother and daughter because they are just so close- some people have mistaken them for friends before. Her mother was surprisingly accepting of Chou being a lesbian- saying something along the lines of "I knew my daughter was gay even before she knew."

They used to have a lot of tension around each other when they were younger because Hana was always the competitive one but now, they're working on building their relationship. They also support each other a lot- only that Chou tends to support her elder sister more. One very good example, is when her parents divorced- Hana was extremely upset when she found out the reason behind it- especially since she was close to their father. She fell into depression shortly and Chou was there to pull her back up- despite their relationship. They can't live without each other to be honest, even when they were competing endlessly. They were like their names- the butterfly relies on a flower for nectar and a flower relies on the butterfly for pollination. Hana is probably the other person she constantly whines to- just to annoy her.
Jinae has a tendency to cling on to Chou a lot- not that she minds or anything because she clings back as well. The reason why she does this to Chou is because she feels the need to protect Chou for who knows what reasons. She finds Chou very precious and because she's the "official" youngest in their group of friends. She takes care of Chou a lot- really, which is why Chou finds it hard to say "no" to Jinae- like that time when Jinae talked her into getting tattoos ( not that she regrets it or anything because they're beautiful ). Jinae, though she's overly dependent on people, quite likes it when Chou is dependent on her- she thinks it's cute plus it makes her feel important.
...Well, Hwayoung and Chou have an interesting relationship. They seem to act like evil geniuses whenever they're together- they're seriously always planning something totally brilliant and awesome- oh and they fangirl about Hetalia together too-- but seriously, they're really scary when that happens. you can also see these two making weird- and I mean weird- faces at each other- what they're actually doing is that they're communicating with their eyes- I mean, the whole gang does it all the time- seriously. you can see them sitting across each other in a crowded room making odd and unreadable expressions at each other. Oh, by the way, did I mention that Chou likes touching Hwayoung's hair a lot? People have mistaken them for a lesbian couple before- since they're really affectionate with one another.
Chou and Youngil ( or Emil as she likes to be called ) share this one common interest- Mathematics. They bonded over this one subject. You can always find the two in a heated discussion ( without Hwayoung and Jinae ) about some Mathematics theory that hasn't been solved. They could just sit there and yak for hours about Math- seriously, it has happened. On the other hand, Emil and Chou really do hang in the underground world often too- since Emil's a DJ and Chou just likes being there to bother Emil and annoy her while she's DJ-ing and every so often, Jinae and Hwayoung would come and take the stage as well. Recently, Chou has taken a liking to calling Emil, "Emi-tan" whilst Chou is called "Chow Chow-tan" by Emil- she hates that nickname so much omg words can't even comprehend. Chou has taken a liking towards playing with Emil's vibrant eyeshadow too- she breaks them sometimes too- by accident- and Emil'd get really angry with her.
For the most part, Haneul and Chou haven't met yet but I think they would actually get along pretty well, save for the petty arguments that they will definitely get about something. I think they would actually bond very well over dancing and Hetalia- and they'd joke that they should actually hate each other since the characters they like (Japan and Russia respectively) hate each other (more like Japan tbh cuz y'know the Russo-Japanese war in early 1900s and all but yeah, rambling). In any case, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually declared themselves "rivals" and then act like best buddies openly. They'd confuse the heck out of people. They would be constantly chatting over the phone, messages, etc- and it would actually make people think if they're lesbians because Haneul's unusually affectionate around Chou- and she doesn't seem to mind Chou doing skinship with her. I would also think that Chou's pretty protective over Haneul- like she'd be clinging on to Haneul whenever they're together and the latter would just be trying to shake her off but she'll eventually give up. I think they would have a lot of singing battles too- and Chou would easily crush Haneul, leaving her to pout while Chou gloats in her face. Aish these kids.

PERSONALITY — Yezi is incredibly self-confident in everything she does, except when she's without makeup- she refuses to do anything without any makeup on. She's most energetic when she's dancing or rapping.. She's very calm and cool- only overreacting when she's on television or when Jei's doing her horrible aegyo. She usually has a straight face and gazes on calming She's rather big on perfection and is obviously very neat- which is why you can always see her strangling Chou for her messiness. Yezi's honest and blunt. She doesn't believe in sweet-talking and is always giving her honest view on everything. She will not hesitate to tell you that your clothes look terrible. She can have a bit of a bad temper sometimes and might unexpectedly flare up if you make her upset. She's easily annoyed- especially by Chou
FIRST MEETING — Well, they didn't really have any sort of extravagant kind of meeting, but it was just a week or two after Chou had joined LOEN. Chou had been practicing one of her dub-step routines in the practice rooms when Yezi had walked in, searching for the so-called "legendary trainee who had passed on their first try". She was determined to challenge that trainee- she'd heard that the trainee would always practice in that one particular room. She opened the door to find Chou practicing that particular routine that she'd done for her audition. Any normal person would be wowed but Yezi's no normal person- she challenged Chou to a dance-off and it ended with them not giving up until they were interrupted by the angry dance trainer who ended chasing them out of the practice room because they'd overstayed their welcome. He literally pushed them out of the room and of course, that would be when Chou actually falls for Yezi, quite literally, since she ended up on top of her. Well, they stayed in the position in awkward silence for a few moments before they burst out in laughter. Chou helped Yezi up and she suggested they get something to eat- and Yezi, though albeit reluctant, agreed. They did go out to eat- in LOEN's cafeteria- Chou paid okay- and though Yezi was still highly suspicious of the overly friendly girl, she warmed up to her rather quickly because Chou is just the best candidate for a friend for Lee Yeji.
RELATIONSHIP — They can be the worst of enemies and the best of friends- honestly, no one can phantom how and why these two became friends (best friends at that). Chou's always seen teasing and making Yezi upset or angry by flipping up her skirt (if she's wearing one) or slapping her . Yezi's always saying that Chou's the most annoying pest ever- she'll never admit that she does need Chou in her life. They're usually arguing over some petty little thing like the mess in Chou's dorm, or how you should memorize a dance. While they're not arguing, and actually quiet for once, you can see an unhappy Chou painting a triumph Yezi's nails because she lost a bet. At some point of time after they became friends, Yezi was always found in Chou's dorm, and the same can be said now, because she's always complaining about Chou's mess. I think it's Chou's only strategy to make Yezi spend more time with her. Aish that girl. Did I mention that every time they're seen together, Chou is literally hugging onto Yezi and Yezi's just there dragging her along while cursing at her. On a side note, even after being with Chou for the longest time ever, Yezi has no idea that Chou is in love with her and that she's lesbian. Oh gosh, she's so freaking dense that Chou wants to strangle her sometimes.
CONCLUSION — Because I'm the meanest ever, please let them not end up together- I mean, Chou loves Yezi too much to destroy her career since society would never approve of them. She'd rather be by Yezi's side for the rest of her life, and be her support when she needs it most. It's okay if you think otherwise and want them to end up together and all.
