"please back away, I feel uncomfortable." — the first thing you'll notice about rei is that she's extremely shy. in school, she's the girl to sit in the back of the classroom to just avoid being called up by the teacher. although since she is a huge shortie and the student who sits in front of her is a tall giant, rei is barely ever called up; bless that tall giant. to normal people, talking to other people is somewhat easy, but for rei, it's a pure torture. it's not that she hates socializing, she just has a difficult time trying to say what she means. most of the time, she'll use a notebook to help her talk because she's afraid of saying something stupid. not only is it hard for her to socialize mentally, but her body also reacts to it; her heart starts to beat rapidly, her breathing becoming shallow, and her palms sweating. even though she may seem calm and composed, on the inside, rei is literally dying whenever she talks to someone that isn't close to her. in her mind, everything is a blur and scatterbrained. not only does she get anxiety, but also stress. she's quite insecure about the way she talks and if she used the right words to get her point across. for rei, she feels quite uncomfortable being the center of attention and fears being judged; if she feels intimidated, she'll run away and hide from everyone.
"tutturu, rei-desu!" — once you get comfortable with rei, you'll realize that she's very animated. she's quite cheerful and laughs a lot. instead of saying her actions, she likes to use hand/body gestures to express her feelings. for example, whenever she's in a good mood, she'll jump in the air and pump her fist up. she may not say a lot, but her actions speak way more. besides being a cute little creature, rei is highly skilled when it comes to creativity. whenever she has an art project, her eyes will literally light up; ideas will start rushing to her head. she's quite gifted when it comes to original ideas and tends to think outside of the box. it's one of the reasons why she's one of the top students in the school. she isn't afraid to test out strange combinations and her imagination just keeps flowing. leave it to rei when it comes to school events; if you want a winter wonderland festival, she'll go out of her way to make it look like it just snowed, even though in reality, it's actually spring.
"ah, no, it's okay..." — to simply put it out there, rei is a major pushover. whenever someone needs help, they can always depend on rei to help them out. if you need tutoring, just ask rei. she'll literally put down whatever she's doing and help you; as long as you're one of her close friends. one thing you'll notice the most about rei is that she barely has a backbone. she's not the type to stand for herself and just take it. she just lets people walk over her like it's nothing. whenever rei gets into a disagreement, she barely ever argues. she has trouble being assertive so she just lets it go and tries to calm the person down. rei especially hates it when people yell at her and will actually bawl her eyes out if you ever yell at her. her mood will go all the way down and she'll just push people away from her.
"not yet, it's not finished." — besides being a shy pushover, rei's quite hardworking. the thing rei probably works the most hard is the student council. as the historian of the student council, rei makes sure that she gets enough pictures to write school reports on events and for the yearbook. since she is in charge of the school yearbook, she puts all of her effort and attention on it. when it comes to projects, rei will go all out. she's the type to do something whole heartedly. she's diligent with her work and makes sure that everything is perfect and screams the word, amazing. even though it's not necessary for her to work so hard, she feels like it's a must. her work must be done with her blood, sweat, and tears in order for her to feel sastified. she's a hardcore workaholic who doesn't know when to stop; her roommate, kimiko, has to pull her away from the computer to give her a snack break.
SPECIALTY/ELECTIVE visual arts
OUTSIDE OF ACADEMY on weekends when she has time and isn't busy working on the yearbook, she'll go out with the student council members or her best friend to have some fun. on saturdays, she'll probably have a girls' night at their dorm and watch horror movies until they fall asleep; although, rei barely ever gets any sleep because riko's always screaming at the slightest sound and makes her stay up night. on sundays, she can usually be seen hanging out with the student council, most of the time with akiko and kami-sama. typically, she'll go to the local cafe and spoil them with coffee and cute mini cakes. on occasion, she'll sometimes hang out with daichi, going to the local arcade and blast some aliens in the face with lasers. for rei, it all depends on how she's feels. if she wants to laze around, then she'll stay home and just paint for fun. but if she's feel the need to get some fresh air, she'll go out with her friends.
LIVING CONDITIONS
minami riko (南理子) — 17 years old — 2nd year — the complete opposite and other half of rei
her one and only roommate is the fiery and ruthless minami riko, also known "wild riko" to the student body. even though rei and riko are complete opposites to each other, they complete each other. ever since rei was introduced to riko as her roommate, the duo have never been separated after that. while rei is the most intelligent one, riko is more outgoing and reckless one. she doesn't care about what people think of her and just does her thing. she isn't afraid to be judged and does whatever the hell she wants. besides having her amazing best friend for a roommate, rei isn't poor. she actually has a job, tutoring other students. she thought it would help with her social anxiety and improve her social skills. she usually tutors after school in the library on tuesdays and thursdays.

— edgar allen poe; due to her father's influence, reading his work makes her feel inspired.
— ghost stories/urban legends; she loves the thrills and really likes to draw the monsters she's read about.
— stuffed animals; it's one of her greatest weaknesses; too cute for their own good.
— rock music; not only does it relieve her of her stress, but it also helps her get inspired to paint.

— huge crowds of people; she just feels like she's going to suffocate with all of those pepole around her.
— sports/ gym class; she is just horrible at it; nothing more, nothing less.
— bugs; she'll literally freak out and scream her lungs out.

— reading; she could read for hours, just putting herself in a new world and exploring it.

— deep bodies of water; water and rei do not go well. she is absolutely afraid of drowning and cringes whenever she sees a lake or ocean. to her, drowning is the worst death ever.
— public speaking; whenever rei has a presentation, before it even happens, she'll starting twitching; her palms sweat and her heart will start pumping very fast. she looks like she's literally dying; it's a horrible slight to see. the only way to make her less anxious would be to have a person speak for her.

— whenever she meets a new stranger, she won't look at them in the eye.
— sometimes when she hits something inanimate by accident, she'll apologize to it. for example, she hit her drawer one time by accident and apologize to it like it was a human being. she even rubbed it as if it was hurt.
♥ ）yearbook readiness; most of the time, rei will probably be carrying a camera along with her to take pictures of random students so she can edit them into the yearbook.

♥ ）fanclub?; despite having barely any human interaction with the rest of the student body, for some odd reason, rei has a somewhat big fanclub. although most of them are girls because they find her absolutely adorable.

CHARACTER OVERVIEW
"izumi tetsuo, the rebellious slacker." — if there's anything you should know about tetsuo, it's that he's a huge lazypants. although he's quite intelligent, he doesn't care about grades. as along as he's passing, everything's good. unlike rei, tetsuo's the type to half- everything. why spend three hours studying for a test when you can go to the arcade and blast some aliens back into space. it's not that he isn't smart, he has potential, but he chooses to utilize his intelligence for different purposes like trying to memorize all 719 pokemon speciess in the national pokedex. as you can see, he's a huge procrastinator who doesn't know how to manage the way he uses his time.
"are you sure you're not a criminal?" — besides being a huge lazy bumhole, tetsuo is also very honest, almost close to insulting. for tetsuo, he doesn't know when to shut his mouth and has no filter on it. he just says what he observes and sees; although, most of the time, it's actually true. even though he may look like an idiot and may act like one sometimes, there's no doubt that he notices things quicker than most people. unlike your average teenage boy, he pays attention to details. one of the reasons why he pays so close to details is so he can find people's weakness and use them for blackmail. tetsuo may be nice on the outside, but on the inside, he's a criminal mastermind who's plotting against you; trying to find anything to blackmail you with so he can benefit from you. although he rarely ever does it because he's too lazy to keep it going. he would rather have the person be afraid for their life, scared that he will spill all of their secrets out; i know, he's sadistic af.
THEIR LOVE STORY
"hello there, ms. tiny" — when tetsuo and rei first met, it was when their english teacher had assigned rei to tutor tetsuo. since tetsuo was having a "hard time" in english and was almost gonna fail his class, he asked rei to help tutor tetsuo to improve his english. seeing that it was one of her favorite teachers that asked, rei agreed to tutor tetsuo. while rei was talking to the english teacher, tetsuo just stood there staring at the little girl in front of him in awe. she looked so cute and tiny; he could just pat her on the head. once the english teacher and rei were done talking, rei gave tetsuo a note, telling him to meet in the library so they can study together. during the whole study session, rei could barely even look at tetsuo. not only was he taller than her, he was also good looking as well. since he was a stranger, she couldn't help but feel extremely nervous. she was worried that she would say the wrong words while tutoring him and then he would fail the english class. after several minutes of rei looking in the other direction, tetsuo asked her what she was staring at. after trying to decipher her mumbles, tetsuo assured rei that he was friendly and that he wouldn't bite her. as a means to break rei's shell, he would a few jokes here and there to make rei feel more comfortable and at ease. after a couple of more tutoring sessions, tetsuio was able to become friends with rei. even though she was very timid and would mumble her words, he found rei to be quite adorable. every time they would study together, tetsuo would pat her head, thanking her for helping him.
"hello there, cutie" — after multiple tutoring sessions with rei, tetsuo started to gain romantic feelings for her. whenever they would hang out in the library, rei would open up to him and started acting more like her cheerful self. as he got to know her more, he really liked how she never gave up and would always nag him to work harder. even though he would usually tell the person to piss off, he found rei's nagging cute. she would make these cute derpy faces at him and would get red whenever he pat her head to calm her down. whenever tetsuo is with rei, he can't help but smile. with her by his side, it's never a bad day. even though she overworks herself and can be a pushover, her little hand gestures and the way she acts makes him laugh and feel at ease. he can't help but desire the need to hug her.
"she's mine, not yours." — once tetsuo met daichi, his jealousy meter went up so high. whenever he saw daichi grab her wrist or pat her head, he just wanted to slap away his hand. in tetsuo's eyes, rei was his and only his; nobody else's. after seeing the dreamy look in daichi's eyes, tetsuo knew that daichi also liked rei so he tried to prevent him from stealing rei away from him. after confronting daichi in the boys' locker room, tetsuo told daichi, "let the best man win." although, while the boys were fighting over her, the only person that rei actually had her eyes on was tetsuo. even though she tried to deny her feelings and told herself that it wasn't going to happen, tetsuo had already stolen a piece of her heart. despite the urge to confess to him, rei's afraid of doing it in fear of getting rejected. as for now, we will just have to wait and see what happens.
