❝ PERSONALITY » "she's an overambitious little who needs to take a break."
    ( your tie is a hideous shade of mustard, like yuck. ) first thing you'll realize about jion when you first meet her is that she's irrationally honest, meaning she'll say whatever she wants without any filter. in slang, that would mean that she keeps it real. for jion, she finds it better to speak the truth, instead of creating a web of lies, because honestly, who has time to keep track of their lies; make it easier for you and just tell the truth is jion's motto. sometimes, her honesty is nice, but most of the time, it's horrid. whenever someone first meets jion, her words are usually the thing that puts them off. she tends to make very rude comments without even noticing that it was impolite of her, which is one of the reasons why jion doesn't have that many friends. jion's just a very outspoken person who can't keep her opinions to herself; she blurts out the first thing that comes to mind. she's the type to speak before thinking; don't know if that's a good or bad thing yet.
( it's a pity you've wasted such a good mind. ) due to her perspicacious nature, jion's always prepared to learn; she enjoys learning new things and likes to solve difficult problems, it's one of her pastimes. on campus, people dub her the "perfect student"; i.e. coming to class thirty minutes early (maybe even an hour early if she's bored), treating the professor like royalty, has perfect grades, is always asking questions, and most importantly, she's the student who would ask if there's any homework if the teacher forgot to assign any. heck, if jion has a chance to improve her grades, she'll take every opportunity given to her. when it comes to school, jion is a workaholic, eager to get her hands on the next assignment and finish it a week early. jion's a natural overachiever, making all of the other students look like poop; yup, she's that buttwipe of a student. ( why should i conform to idiots like you? , i'm fabulous. ) jion's not your typical twenty-two year old. instead of going to parties and getting wasted on weekends with her friends, jion's always in the library, trying to cram all of the information she can into her mind. for jion, she doesn't follow society norms and thinks peer pressure is for wusses. jion's the person who's constantly trying out new methods to figure out hard problems. she's the one who would sit in the library, planning out an easier and more effective way of opening a soda can instead of just being a normal person and do the same thing everyone else does. due to her curiousity for everything, jion's always questioning everything in her mind, trying to make more efficient techinques to "fix the world." basically, jion likes to find multiple procedures to solve everyday problems that already have solutions. she likes to challenge people and sees things different; jion's quite complex when it comes to thinking. ( kyungsoo: she clings on like cling wrap. ) despite being a pain in the , one thing that's truly good about jion is that she has a strong sense of loyalty. once you break her shell, just know that you're stuck with her. if you ever need help, you can always expect jion to run over and give you a hand. even though she'll complain about how she's missing out on some major study time, she'll still assist you. oh, you need some tutoring? well, jion will make time out for you. although, she'll probably tutor you while giving herself some time to study; lol, there's always time to study if you're jion, she always finds a way. due to the influence of her mother leaving her, jion takes friendship very seriously; her friends are like her second family. she doesn't like people leaving her side so in order to prevent that from happening, she puts up this tough facade to test people's limits. if you can put up with jion's personality and become her friend, then jion will be faithful to you.
( ay, i've accepted myself so i don't really care. ) having already accepted her weirdness, jion doesn't care if you think she's bizarre. she literally has no s given. for jion, unless you're important, she takes anybody's advice given to her with a grain of salt. she doesn't take things to heart and just lives life the way she wants it to be. and yes, jion already knows that she's a pretentious little who needs to take a chill pill; she gets it a lot. ❝ BACKGROUND » growing up in the province of gyeonggi, life was pretty stressful for jion when she was a child. although she did have both parents in her life, her mother was the core of all of her stress in her elementary days. being the conversative and traditional mother she was, she made jion work harder and would hire tutors to pile even more work on jion. while doing this, she made jion feel worthless because instead of encouraging her, she would just yell at jion to work even more. for jion's mother, she was living vicariously through jion, trying to make jion achieve all of her lost dreams. during this whole situation, her father wasn't really in the picture or even know about her mother's harsh ways because he was always out working, from early in the morning to late at night. though, jion never really blamed her father because whenever he would come home early, he would make things better and make her smile. once jion got into middle school, her parents finalized their divorce due to irreconcilable differences, putting her father down as primary custody. despite having a grudge against her mother for making feel like a sac of crap, the divorce still affected jion. although, along came do kyungsoo with his dorky persona, and the two became quick friends. after high school, jion and kyungsoo both decided to apply for seoul university, hoping for the best; and the rest is history.
*after the divorce was finalized, jion's mother moved out of their home and cut all of her ties with jion and jinki. she was quite bitter about how jion chose jinki to be primary custody and thought jion to be ungrateful. her mother tried to persuade jion to make her primary custody, but after a huge argument, jion confessed to her mother that her mother was making her life miserable. she couldn't uphold the standards her mother set upon her. taking it in a literal way, jion's mother grew resentful towards jion. that argument gave her mother the answer she needed to give up primary custody to jinki. as you can see, jion's mother was quite prideful and didn't like it when things didn't go the way she wanted. even though jion was her child, her mother wasn't really the motherly type and treated jion more like an object to flaunt to her friends. to this day, jion is still affected by her mother. whenever people even mention her mother, jion immediately turns silent and will even walk away to avoid giving an answer. due to the influence of her mother leaving her family, jion has a hard time making friends, thinking that they will leave her in the end. she's very cynical about it; people will just use her for her skills and then leave her in the dust. to jion, you have to prove to jion that you won't leave her. she puts up this heartless persona to prevent any more pain. another thing that her mother caused was jion's low self esteem. even though jion holds this strong image, on the inside, she's always doubting herself due to her mother's pressure.

   ( father ) han jinki / 57 / college english professor / outgoing, friendly, humorous, easygoing / besides kyungsoo, jion's father is the only person who truly accepts jion for who she is. sure, she can be a little sassy and make rude statements, but jinki still loves her to death. whenever they're together, jion's always joking around with her dad, making funny sarcastic jokes and telling him about her life at school with kyungsoo. with her father by her side, jion turns more soft and is usually more lighthearted. sometimes, once in a blue moon, she'll crack a big wide smile because of her father. if you haven't realized it yet, her dad is jion's weakness. while school is her first priority, her father is second. the only reason why school is more important to her is because she wants to finish school early and get a good job to repay her father all the money he used to raised her. it's somewhat of an impossible goal, but ay, this is jion we're talking about; she's determined as hell. since she moved from gyeonggi-do, she'll occasionally get night calls from her father nagging her to get some sleep and to take care of herself.

   ( partners in crime ) do kyungsoo / 22 / reserved, honest, sarcastic, devil's spawn basically / first things first, kyungsoo is the realest, literally. meeting each other in elementary school, these two are as close as can be. like no joke, they know everything about each other; there are no secrets between them. even though they are always calling each other insulting names, that's how they show their love to each other. known for being two little sarcastic buttholes, these two are a force to be reckon with. mess with one of them and you bet your , the other will come and hunt you down. when together, they are the definition of platonic soulmates. there isn't anyone who gets jion like kyungsoo and vice versa. one thing you'll notice about these two is that they have a bad habit of finishing each other's sentences; literally one mind, two bodies. if there's anyone else that jion truly cares for besides her father, it would be kyungsoo. like whenever kyungsoo is upset or not feeling well, you can expect jion to panic and try her absolute best to help kyungsoo out. if he's sick, jion will try her hardest to make samgyetang even though she's not that skilled in cooking. ever since kyungsoo helped jion through the struggles of her parents' divorce, jion found solace in him. he was the only one to stick to her despite her pushing him away in middle school. in front of kyungsoo, jion can act like herself. kyungsoo's probably the only one outside of her family that gets to see the nice side of her. when she's with him, she'll smile and laugh more. she especially loves patting his head; she loves the blank face he gives her whenever she does it. kyungsoo is like the older brother figure that jion always wished she had. he's always giving her wise adivce and guides her in the right direction. kyungsoo is also jion's moral compass, always reminding her to be less of a butthole to people.
   ( rivals? ) kwon minjung / 21 / bold, shrewd, clever, a total to jion / to be honest, minjung hates jion's guts. jion didn't want to steal baekhyun away from minjung, she had no intentions of even pursuing baekhyun.

( "margaret hamilton is my one and only bae." ) one thing you need to know about jion is that her number idol in the whole world is margaret hamilton; the queen of software engineering. jion admires her a lot and could rant about her for hours.
( "my school id is the years the apollo program started and ended, holla!" ) yes, it is true. jion was lucky enough to get the id number, 19631972. when divided, it becomes the years 1963 and 1972, which is the years the apollo program started and ended. the reason why jion is so hyped about this little piece of information is because margaret hamilton was the software designer for the apollo program and we all know how much jion loves her. ( "i have no interest in them at all." ) jion isn't in any clubs or sororities because first, all of the clubs don't interest her at all and sororities remind her of highschool: petty girl drama. plus, they would distract her from studying so that's a nono for her also. ( health freak in the house. ) after reading multiple articles and researching, jion is a hardcore health freak. she's always reading the information on food products, making sure there's nothing bad in them so she can consume them. things like junk food and fast food are out of the question, never mention those topics around jion because she will go on an hour long rant about how they're not good for you. hehe, super hypocritical of jion because her sleeping schedule is horrible. |

❝ REGARDING THE NIGHT SHOW, WHAT CONNECTS YOU TO IT? » "you could say i'm an avid listener. i especially like to tune in while doing my homework, like background noise. i haven't found a need to send them a letter, but if it's the end of the world, maybe i'll try to contact them, no promises though."
❝ WHO ARE YOU THE CLOSEST WITH? » "hmm, welp, let's see. who doesn't annoy the crap out of me? ahhh, that would be soyoung. i mean i don't really see the appeal of children yet, but her daughter, dohee, is surprisely adorable. i swear every time i see her, i just want to pinch her cheeks. besides precious dohee, soyoung is quite nice and i like helping her whenever she needs help on math homework. she's actually one of the people on campus that i actually like. i guess you could say that she's my only female friend on campus. i mean she's the only female on campus that doesn't think i'm an and actually likes my sense of humor; she gets me. i don't get why she doesn't have that many friends; like come on, just because she has an adorable child, emphasis on adorable, doesn't mean . i could literally rant about how sweet this woman is. to this day, i still don't get why she's one of my close friends and why she even tolerates me; the woman is like a saint in my eyes."
❝ WHO ARE YOU THE LEAST CLOSEST WITH? » "hehe, isn't it obvious? it's minjung. she absolutely hates my guts, and i can't do anything about it, but avoid her and her little petty posse of friends. i swear, if her friends shoulder-check me one more time, i'll send in my concerns and maybe a report of bullying. you wanna be petty, i can be petty too. sure, i told them to stop, but obviously, the word, stop, does not exist in their dictionary. after like three times, i just gave up and aviod them because i easily bruise. seriously, i bruise like a peach. i don't give them the time of day anymore because they're not worth my time."
