TRAINEE BACKGROUND [ ♦ ]  Her trainee years begin in 2008. Haewon was casted into SM Entertainment in the streets of Hongdae by a talent scout who noticed her good looks in March of 2008. Haewon struggled intitally because of the way she joined, since her fellow trainees thought it was unfair because she didn't have to audition. So, she took her training seriously, working on her vocals and dancing. She spent long hours at the studios, making sure that she was perfect with all the dance moves and that her vocals were hitting all the high notes as needed. In June of 2009, she was embroiled in the very first scandal of her young life (since at the time, she was 17), but the scandal was quickly wiped and she didn't talk to Kyuhyun a lot since then. In June 2010, she felt really accomplished since SM had cast her as the girl walking with Siwon in the music video for No Other. Of course, she only shot her scenes with Siwon, not seeing any of the other members, but Siwon was incredibly nice to her and she accepted his advice that he had given her during the shoot. She stayed at SM for one more year, dealing with the rigorous training schedule until August 2011. In May of 2012, she left SM, citing difficulties and on the recruitment by her cousin, she joined Shinhwa Company. At Shinhwa Company, Andy took on coaching her with her vocals because he saw potential with her. She worked hard and felt that she deserved to be in the company.

PAST AND FUTURE SCANDALS [ ♦ ] 

// {PAST} Cho Kyuhyun dating a non-idol? :: In 2009, while she was at SM Entertainment as a trainee, she hung a bit with Kyuhyun of Super Junior and once, DISPATCH caught them on a 'date' together and so, trailed after them to a noodle restaurant and then a patbingsu shop. The photos were published online and she was criticized. Kyuhyun denied all sorts of their friendship and she just denied it as well. The scandal was very quickly covered up and denied.
// {PRESENT} Signs of favoritism: Shinhwa's Minwoo places family in upcoming girl group? :: From the time that she joined ShinCom Entertainment  in 2011, shortly after the company was started, the Shinhwa members knew that she was Minwoo's cousin, but they showed her no favoritism, training her just as hard as the other trainees. It was in late 2014/early 2015, that Haewon faced significant hate when ShinCom announced the debut of a girl group and the list of girls in the group. It was very quickly discovered by netizens that she was the cousin of Minwoo and she was accused of getting into the group on familial ties. The scandal was never officially resolved with Haewon simply workig harder to prove herself to the Korean netizens.
//{FUTURE} 5Crystal's Hae collapses in the middle of Dream Concert. :: When 5Crystals got invited to perform at the Dream Concert ( or any big event like Gayo Daejun), Haewon takes it upon herself to mark her place as a Lead Vocalist and dancer and prove K-Netz wrong. However, all that practice does pay off initially, Haewon eventually collapses on stage, from exhaustion.
//{FUTURE} Kyuhyun and Hae dating?!? :: K-Netz and DISPATCH are shocked at the news that Kyuhyun reveals on Radio Star. The two names from the ealier scandal in 2009 are once again thrown into the air but this time with positive confirmations from both sides.

PERSONALITY [ ♦ ] Hardworking, perfectionist, honest, blunt, fun, easily offended

// Hardworking: Haewon spends all her time in the studio, working on her dancing and her singing to make sure that people don't undermine her because of her pretty face. She works incredibly hard to separate herself from her famous cousin and the way she got into the company. She always wants to prove that she is meant to be the lead vocal of 5Crystals, even if it means killing and voice with numerous hours of practice to better herself. Much like her cousin, Minwoo, she invests herself entirely in whatever she does until everything is perfect.

// Perfectionist: By definition, perfectionism refers to a person's striving for flawlessness and setting excessively high performance standards, accompanied by overly critical self-evaluations and concerns regarding others' evaluation. Haewon exhaust herself trying to reach those perfect standards that she sets herself. Her perfectionistic side runs in her friendships, her family and even with Kyuhyun, since they've fought over the fact that she wants things to be to perfect and in the end Kyuhyun can't do it. Haewon not only wants to be perfect herslef, she has to make sure that people around her are perfect as well which means she pushes the fellow 5Crystal members even more than the leader.

// Honest: Her honesty compels her to tell the truth and she's a valued worker as well as a valued friend. She's a shoulder to lean on and a shoulder to cry on when something is up. Everyone that knows Haewon well calls her the psychologist because of her listening skills and her honest opinions. She is frankly honest and can give anyone a reality check.

// Blunt: Her honest opinions, however, can get a little rude due to her bluntness. She doesn't usually come off as rude but some things she says and the tone she says some things in imply. She's blunt and that has cost her many a friendship. Not a lot of people can deal with her sassy tongue when it decides to come out and play.

// Fun: She loves to goof around and have fun, so she isn't all work and no play. Haewon considers herself as a great party planner and likes to throw a party all the time that she's off work, even when she's not supposed to be throwing parties. As she always says though, rules are meant to be broken. She can let loose but it takes a lot for her to let loose.

// Easily Offended: When someone tells her that she isn't good enough for the group or insults her, she takes personally, Haewon takes it as a point against her and she judges herself even harder than most people. She then uses those insults and pushes herself to be better than those haters.

// MBTI (Myers Briggs Typology): Haewon is an ESFJ by the Myers Briggs Personality test (Extravert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging). As per the ESFJ profile, people who share the ESFJ personality type are, for lack of a better word, popular - which makes sense, given that it is also a very common personality type, making up twelve percent of the population. In high school, ESFJs are the cheerleaders and the quarterbacks, setting the tone, taking the spotlight and leading their teams forward to victory and fame.        // Seoul Baby: Haewon was born in Seoul, in the sunny and bright month of May in 1992. Her mother was a hairstylist and the youngest in her  family. Her father was a long time professor at Seoul National University, and rather the fun guy. Her older sister was born in 1987, about five years before she was. Kaeun was not the best older sister to Haewon from a young age, since she was jealous of all the attention the new baby was getting, so she often locked her little sister in closets to ensure that she was  the one getting all her parents love. However that was a phase and when Haewon turned five and Kaeun was ten, the two girls were closer than best friends.
       //Seoulmates: At the age of eight, after she started school, she met her two best friends. Her mother Seojin introduced her to her friends daughter, Sungjeon and the eight year old girls became super close of their mothers. They then found out that they lived next door and Sungjeon called it fate since they went to the same school, their mothers were friends and they lived next door. A year later,  on a trip to the museum of Art in Seoul, Haewon met Soohyeon, a  short bulky kid with an ever dripping nose. He made her laugh and she decided that he was going to be her other best friend. She introduced him to Sungjeon and they became the three musketeers. All for One and One for All or as she would refer to them in interviews after the debut 'the seoulmates', playing with soulmates and seoul. 
     //Queen B: Much of her early teen years (10 to 14), Haewon went unnoticed by most people. She wasn't exactly pretty at the time, but at the age of 14, something changed and she started becoming the swan instead of staying as the ugly duckling. With that change, her self confindence soared and she took up violin and singing lessons to make herself seem even more attractive. At the same time, her two best friends were becoming popular and almost over a course of a month, Soohyeon, Haewon and Sungjeon had become the new IT crew of the school. Haewon used her good looks to get by in classes, so most of the time to other students it seemed as though she was simply sliding through school on her looks. In effect, she had become what she had wanted all her life. First. She was on top and it was fantastic.
     //SM and fame: It was no surprise to anyone when Haewon was scouted. Of course, the scouting had a bit of a rift between Soohyeon who had auditioned around the same time and Haewon, but they never counted it as something major, since they had solved their problems over a course of one month. At SM though, she suffered, both mentally and physically. The long hours of training and the mental taunts of her fellow trainees. She always wanted to quit but she persevered because she was better than just quitting to give all the people who claimed she wasn't good enough. In 2009, she ran into her first experience with fame and scandals. That was one of the nervewracking things she had ever gone through because all her social media accounts received hate and death threats. In the end she had to private her facebook and instagram and delete her twitter. The nonchalance that SM had towards her almost made her sick because she couldn't believe that this was the actual treatment of trainees at SM. She had spent a few more years with SM and in 2010, she got the chance of a lifetime with Super Junior shoot of No Other. Siwon had given some of the best advice. While at SM, Haewon met Yoona, who has since then become her mentor and close friend.
     //Leaving SM and ShinCom: In 2012, she left SM Entertainment, citing that she couldn't deal with the environment. That same year, she joined ShinCom Entertainment alongside her cousin, who was pretty happy to see her.  To date, she is training at ShinCom, proving that she is worthy of the position in the girl group.

FAMILY [ ♦ ]

// Mother, Lee Seojin ♦ 56 ♦ Alive ♦ Hair Stylist ♦ Vain, sassy, hardworking, busy ♦ Seojin is Minwoo's mother's younger sister. The good looks run in the family, but Haewon very rarely sees her mother, since she is always at the salon where she works. Strangely enough, when she is out with her mother and sister, the three are mistaken for siblings, since Seojin doesn't look like their mother. As a stylist, Seojin does Haewon's hair and Kaeun's hair with style and making sure that they look excellent always. 
// Father, Lee Kangmin ♦ 57 ♦ Alive ♦ Teacher ♦ studious, fun, easy-going ♦ Kangmin and Haewon have a very close father/daughter relationship, since they cook together and she always drops by his work, because of Soohyeon. Kangmin is a Marketing teacher at Seoul University and Haewon used to come by a lot before she started her training at SM. Nowadays, she's still close to her father but he's threatened to hurt Kyuhyun fairly badly after she had introduced him.
// Older Sister, Lee Kaeun ♦ 27 ♦ Alive ♦ Medical Student/Nurse ♦ Caring, lovely and kind ♦ Haewon leans on her sister like a support. When her sister isnt working the long shifts as a medical student and nurse, she drops by the dorm with ice cream and movies to help Haewon loosen up. She gives her advice and suggestions on what to do and how to be. Haewon takes her advice incredibly seriously when she does come by.
// Cousin, Lee Minwoo ♦ 35 ♦ Alive ♦ Lead Vocalist of Shinhwa ♦ charming, somewhat of a perfectionist, hardworking, friendly ♦ Minwoo sees a lot of himself in Haewon. He claims that if he was younger and a girl, he would be exactly like Haewon. Both hardworking, Minwoo often catches Haewon staying late after practice ends for the girls, running through moves and the songs making sure everything is good. Minwoo is the only person in the company who can get Haewon to go home.
// Cousins, Minwoo's siblings ♦ 35-40 ♦ Alive ♦ Unknown ♦ Unknown ♦ Haewon has met her older cousins once as a kid. She doesn't know them that well, so she just keeps to herself whenever her older cousins are mentioned.

// Friend, Im Yoona ♦ 24 ♦ Visual, Dancer and Vocalist of SNSD ♦ fun, sassy, somewhat cold ♦ Yoona and Haewon met in SM Entertainment while Haewon was a trainee there. Yoona mistook her for Seohyun, their SNSD maknae because of the similar looks. Haewon corrected her and Yoona just laughed off her mistake and the two became fairly close.   ♦ Yoona and Haewon are close, since she considers Yoona a close unnie that she admires.  Yoona gave her advice on love and her future in the entertainment industry before she left. Since she left, they chat over line and snapchat.
// Best Friend, Kang Soohyeon ♦ 22 ♦ University Student ♦ weird, childlike, fun, honest ♦ Soohyeon and Haewon met in school, in elementary school, through getting paired with each other for a field trip to the museum.  ♦ Haewon absolutely adores her closest guy  friend. Soohyeon is basically her twin from a different mother. He manages to keep Haewon sane and not focused on her work all the time, by forcing her out to noraebangs and parties. Despite the fact that Soohyeon also auditioned for SM but never got in, he doesn't hold any hard feelings for Haewon getting in. They are as close as actual twins and she tells him everything.  Soohyeon has a close resemblance to Winner's Kang Seungyoon except his nose a bit more pointed and he is a bit more built.
// Best Friend, Kim Sungjeon ♦ 22 ♦ Cafe Barista ♦ sassy, cute, naturally aegyo ♦ Sungjeon and Haewon met while they were living next door to each other in Seoul. Their mothers were close, so it was a required idea that Sungjeon and Haewon were to get along. ♦ Haewon and Sungjeon are like each others closet crush and when they hang out togfether, they are as close as a two peas in a pod. With Sungjeon, Haewon can let loose and have fun and relax a bit. They are both fans of Glee and they call themselves the Korean Brittana, seeing so many similarities in Glee's Brittana and their relationship.

// Coordiunnie, Jang Hyejeon (Hye-unnie) ♦ 32 ♦ Stylist at ShinCom ♦ chill, sassy, fun  ♦ Minwoo needed someone to watch over her as he was busy and  she was family, so he asked one of the Coordis to watch her and make sure that Haewon sleeps and doesn't skip meals.  ♦ Haewon and Hyejeon are really close and Haewon leans on Hyejeon when she can't get a hold of her cousin and her sister to get that advice. Hyejeon cooks for her as well when Haewon is busy working herself.

PERSONALITY [ ♦ ] 
There’s only one word to describe Cho Kyuhyun in a nutshell and that is evil. A constant smirk adorns his lips and he likes to tease everyone around him. As a gamer, he’s brash, witty and a bit crude, refusing to take losing or game over seriously. He has a must- win attitude towards everything. As a person, he’s cool, and devilishly handsome. He likes to tease people and doesn’t really care if his taunts go too far. He enjoys flirting with pretty girls. Kyuhyun, however, is extremely hard working and works hard to get something that he put his mind to. He doesn’t give up easily and instead, stubbornly pushes himself harder to get what he wants.
Kyuhyun is a singer and a variety idol through and through. With his soft voice and snarky tongue, Kyuhyun won over fangirls everywhere and his singing skills are rather unmatched. He is a vocal performer, showing his all in Immortal Songs and as a lead in several musicals like Three Musketeers, Catch Me If You Can, and Singing in the Rain. His variety side goes from his MCing gigs and apperances on shows like Happy Together 3, Weekly Idol and Hello Conselor.  Overall, he's a snarky, evil, cute and funny young man who loves his job, his life and all his friends.

RELATIONSHIP [ ♦ ] The Hae-Kyu relationship is a difficult one. Their personalities clash completely since she is a perfectionistic hard worker and he is a slacking hard worker. Hae hates so much about Kyuhyun. She hates his perfect face, his angelic voice and his fiery personality. In return, Kyuhyun hates her body, her skills and her innocent facade. They get off on causing each other pain. They totally love each other despite all that though. They go to on dates to cafes and play video games together. Somehow, he's the only person she knows that can hold her back from her job. Kyuhyun treats her like a princess when he's not annoyed at her openness with her body with the group. Easily jealous, Kyuhyun and Haewon are posessive  of each other and they always hug and hold hands in public which was the whole reason behind that scandal in 2009. In private, HaeKyu are the fluffy and cute couple who kiss, and make out. Kyuhyun takes all the chances to come and visit ShinCom to hang out with Haewon while she spends her days and nights in the studio working.

HISTORY [ ♦ ] Kyuhyun and Haewon met in 2008, when she first joined SM Entertainment. She was being given a tour of all the locations that a trainee needs to know, when Kyuhyun walked out of one of the recording rooms after finishing his part of SJ-M's U. She was incredibly shy, but Kyuhyun just walked right by her. She was simply a trainee. They met officially when Super Junior came to watch the trainees practice and she tripped over her own feet, causing Kyuhyun to laugh.

OTHER [ ♦ ] Haewon asked Kyuhyun to come visit her at the company a few months after debut so that they could talk. They end up getting into a really awkward intimate position (Haewon on his lap as they talk). The other members catch them and they admit quietly that they are together.

PERSONALITY [ ♦ ] 
He may be a flower boy and have many girls practically bowing at his feet and thinking he is god or something, like any other person he still has his flaws and strengths. Myungsoo is a very laid-back type of person. He will keep his nose out of other people's business but not because he is being kind but because he just doesn't care. That's one of his flaws, the fact that a lot of the time he just doesn't care about others or their feelings. He has tried to get himself to care but as some people say, nature is stronger than nurture. He is very self-centered and will always be thinking of what is best for himself, unless he decides to think about others which he rarely does.
Not because he doesn't want to, but because most of the time the thought just does not cross his mind. On the topic of being self-centered, he is also fairly selfish and is a mooch. He will constantly think about himself and will always try to take advantage of his looks and get people to buy him things. Does he know about his flaws? Yes. Does he try his best to change around his friends? Hell yes. Being a stubborn stubborn boy, he will always try his best to think of his friends first whenever they are around, and even when they aren't because he truly cares for them. He is very impulsive and will do whatever comes to mind before thinking about it. He is extremely funny and even though at times he is quiet he still knows how to have fun. Myungsoo is very stubborn and does everything in his power to win or get what he wants. Whether it is aegyo, persuasion and even blackmail or threats towards some people, only his close friends, he will use it and does everything to get what he wants.

RELATIONSHIP [ ♦ ] As a same -age friend, it's easy to find common interests and things to do together. They do clash with their personalities at times, but Myungsoo and Haewon do figure it out. Their relationship consists of friendly dates and weekly movie marathons. They're very casual with eeach other and unlike her relationship with Kyuhyun, Haewon finds Myungsoo a refreshing contrast. In public, they tease each other and have fun and go to amsuement parks, acting like a pair of long lost best friends who reconnect after ages, and in private, they marathon movies, pig out on popcorn and eat food. She would never consider him as more than a friend, but she does consider him like a brother she never had but always wanted and that is how Myungsoo sees it as well, despite the fact that he wishes she could love him. They do argue about Kyuhyun and Myungsoo always claims that he is the better for her.

HISTORY [ ♦ ] Haewon and Myungsoo met on the January 2012 shoot for High Cut when Infinite was there and shooting their pictures as well. They became very close and she came to watch the SBS Music Bank in 2012, since she was invited by Myungsoo as his 'date'. 

OTHER [ ♦ ] Myungsoo confessed his feelings for her at the year end show but she kindly rejects him telling him that she only sees him as a close friend who she loves and as a brother.
