APPEARANCE ) Shiyeon is very small. She stands at 153cm and weighs 47kg. Her hair is naturally black and she have never dyed it but if for the group, she probably won't mind doing so. Her natural eye colour is dark brown but sometimes she uses red contacts unless she's wearing her spectacles. Shiyeon doesn't have any birthmarks, scars or piercings.

STYLE ) Shiyeon's style is very simple. Any shirt with any pants and it's done! She rarely wears skirts and dresses so I guess it's quite a tomboyish style. Sometimes, people call her a fashion disaster because she like to match black with black and white with white.

PERSONALITY )

 

Shiyeon is a positive person. She'll always look to the brighter side of things and choose to believe only the most optimistic thought. For example, if her friends were to not talk with her as often and seem to be avoiding her, she would assume they were preparing a surprise for her or something until she hears from their own mouths that they've decided to ostracise her. As you can infer, she's also quite the loyal and faithful ally to have. However, the thing about Shiyeon is that she's able to forgive and forget easily. A flexible nature, you could say. She won't hesitate to change if you've already turned away from her and she adjusts to new things easily. However, if you're able to ignore the gossips and rumours, she's a seriously great friend to have. She would try her best to help you if you have a problem. She'll help you clear your head of self-doubt and have you feeling loved. Especially since Shiyeon is protective of her friends and would always make you feel needed. Although her protectiveness is sometimes the end of her friendships when the other party feels too trapped.

 

That being said, Shiyeon may just appear as a nosey ball of energy to strangers. She gets excited at every little thing and thinks even the ants crawling on the ground are interesting and worth seeing. If she finds out that you have a common interest as her, she could chatter away about that topic endlessly until she realises you're not really talking anymore and is quick to apologise about getting too carried away. Another thing even a stranger can see about her is her prying nature. She's usually a curious kid and is always quick to throw questions unless she plans on finding out the answer herself ( by sneaking into your room late at night and eavesdropping on your conversations. She thinks eavesdropping is a relatively normal thing since it doesn't really hurt anybody but the thing about her is that she tends to blurt out whatever she knows when the same topic is raised ( Shinsuke always have to come into the picture to desperately change the topic when Shiyeon is about to talk about her trainee life to other people ).

HISTORY )

 

Shiyeon's life was really simple. She was the first child of Mr and Mrs Heo so she lived a luxurious life, especially because her family was exceptionally rich. That ws until her younger sister, Jiyeon, came along. When her parents and relatives showered the baby with endless affection, Shiyeon grew jealous and decided to escape to the playground alone. There, she met Taemin and Jongin, both her neighbours whom she never communicated with before. Taemin was the first to ask if she was interested in helping them complete their sandcastle in the sandbox. They started to play together more frequently and were admitted to the same elementary school. And then middle school and high school. Shiyeon also learnt ballet with Jongin ( Taemins says it's not manly ) and  piano with Taemin ( Jongin was busy with Jazz ). But all three of them self-taught themselves popping. Alone, she did martial arts because SHINee was already debuted and Jongin also preparing for debut by then.

 

One day, Taemin declared that he was going to be an idol. He told them that he was going to audition for SM Entertainment. Jongin also wanted to go but not without Shiyeon. So they dragged Shiyeon along as well. Surprisingly, all three of them got accepted. However, because of bullies targeting her height, Shiyeon quit soon after. The debt she incured because of that was easily paid by her father who had Do corporation under his command. But still Shiyeon decided that she shall not try to make the same mistake again. Later, Jiyeon became a part time model and Shiyeon's want to be in the spotlight was rekindled. She made Taemin and Jongin take videos of their dance practices ( as in, alone ), and tried to practice by herself. She tried joining several dance crews but they all looked at her height and rejected her. However, she was able to join KB Entertainment in January of 2013.

PRESENT )

 

Currently, she lives in a small pension house ( owned by her father ) with her sister, her sister's manager ( sworn to secrecy as well ) and other trainees. It is located right beside the studio. She has quit college and is unemployed. Her usual schedule would be waking up at 6am to send her sister to school before going to train from 7am to 10pm. On days without school or work ( for her sister ), she would join Shinsuke, his stepbrother and cousin at the gym with her sister before following him to the studio to practice from 7am to 10pm. Her sister would bring her ( and Shinsuke ) lunch on such days.
