Personality:

To say that Jaehyun isn’t a bit dorky in private would be an understatement. He’s true to himself and that is he is dorky all the time. Constantly laughing and smiling, Aiden is definitely the first to make people feel welcome and break the ice in any situation.  He's very dorky and often claps and laughs a lot. A hard worker, Jaehyun knows what he wants and he goes after it. The young man is charming  to a point and he loves to have fun.  He's dorky but that's his charm. He's geeky, and fun. Jaehyun takes it to the max, with constant references to pop culture and style. He knows he's dorky and he flaunts it. However, when he gets too excited about something he's really into, his voice goes up and he gets really loud and enthiuastic. His loudness isn't a good thing since he gets excited at the worst possible moments like when the group is supposed to be serious.

Jaehyun was always taught to be courteous and helpful to people around him, since one would never knwo when that help may bring itself around. As an ESTJ (Myers Briggs Typology Test: Extravert, Sensing, Thinking, Judging), Jaehyun thrives on order and continuity. Being extraverted, his focus involves organization of people, which translates into supervision. He is very impulsive and will do whatever comes to mind before thinking about it. He is extremely funny and even though at times he is quiet he still knows how to have fun. Adding onto that vanity, subborness, is Jaehyun's indecisiveness. He will ages to make up his mind completely, often changing it several times before he actually decides. But then he ends up second guessing himself constantly. 
 
How he acts around people:
Female Members: Jaehyun tries to act around them as he does around his mother and sister. He is respectful and polite at first, almost like a coworker, but when he gets close to them, he becomes like the older brother figure that they can come to and just talk without being judged, because he understands how it feels to be in their shoes. He tries to give them advice and help out as much as he can.
Male Members: With his two younger dongsaengs, Jaehyun laughs and teases them about all the things while at the same time providing the advice that they want to hear. He picked up things from his own dad and incorporated them into his leadership adding to his personality style.  He teases s but it's all with love.
the managers: With the managers, Jaehyun acts every inch the leader. He listens attentively and takes notes when needed on his phone to make sure that he has all the notices and all the relevant items to make sure that his fellow members are on track and working hard.

       Jaehyun was born in 1992. He was the very unexpected child to a couple who was not even ready for kids or marriage, since they only had met about eight years prior to his birth in 1984 in Columbia University.  Carter and Natalie only got married in January of 1991, four months after Natalie found out that she was pregnant. Jaehyun came into their lives and he was originally named Aiden after Carter's grandfather, but Natalie, wanting the boy to know his Korean roots as well added Jaehyun to his names. As a child, Jaehyun was curious and everything interested him. He wanted to know how cars worked, how cameras produced pictures and how music came out of instruments.  His parents were very happy with how curious their son ws and encouraged that curiosity. At the age of 6, Natalie enrolled Jaehyun into a music school in New York, so that the boy could flourish in what he loved more than anything. He stayed at the school for four years, singing and learning how to play instruments. His voice was high and people loved his cuteness. At the age of 10, he was entered into a school wide competetion and singing Quit Playing Games With My Heart by the Backstreet Boys in that competition, Jaehyun charmed the judges and he won first place. In 2003, a year after that, Carter and Natalie decided to move back to her hometown of Seoul, South Korea.
         After the successfull move, Jaehyun was re-enrolled into a music school and he struggled for two years after the move to comprehend a new language and a new system. He had a hard time adjusting to the new system. In 2004, he became online pen pals with a girl named Jung Hana. He told her how hard he found life in Korea and she, in turn, sympathized greatly with the boy.  However, the one person that he found a common language with in 2005 was a kid named Lee Kikwang. Kikwang at the time was a trainee at JYP and Jaehyun wanted to know everything regarding what his hyung was doing.  Kikwang and Jaehyun met at a cafe outside of Jaehyun's school and they connected immediately over their love of classical hip hop. Wanting to follow in his hyung's footsteps, Jaehyun auditioned for JYP Entertainment in 2006, at the age of 14, with the same song that had won him first place in New York. Kikwang encouraged him, and so did Hana through their letters. Park Jin Young took a liking to the young man and accepted him as a trainee.  
          In the three years that he spent at JYP, Jaehyun underwent intense vocal training, as well rapping. Intially at 14, his voice was too soft for rapping but after puberty hit and his voice got really deep  at 15, JYP took the advantage of the deep voice and had him taught how to rap. Jaehyun was always scared that he would never debut. Originally, he was aimed to debut as part of 2PM but his image was too girly for the masculinity of 2PM. When he had voiced his concerns to Hana via email, she had suggested that he come audition for TS ent because that's where she was.  In late 2009, Jaehyun left JYP and audtioned for TS Entertainment.  Kim Tae Song enjoyed him and accepted  him since he came on high recommendation from Zinger. He began training at TS, specializing in rapping since his voice was deep enough to rap successfully. He also met the Zinger who had recommended him to TS's CEO Kim Tae Song, finding out that it was his online best friend.  They conncted and Jaehyun felt like he belonged there.
         As he trained, he went to events with Secret, so that he 'may know what it is like to be an idol'. Zinger supported him all the way and in 2012, he was set as part of the B.A.P lineup. Again, his image and his looks weren't enough for  him to debut and so, with a second failed attempt at debuting and six years of training, Jaehyun was ready to give up. In October of 2012, after leaving TS entertainment officially, an audition ad blew into his face about a company called Tea Entertainment. Could this be his chance? He went to audtion hoping that he made it and when he was acepted into the company, he happily took the chance. Now, with an eight year training background, five years of singing and three years of rapping, could this be the chance to finally debut?

     Jaehyun and Hana go way back. Initially friends online, since they were actually penpals before they met in person. He told her all his worries and she, in return, did the same. He had to work with Secret and so upon arrival, he was shocked at seeing his online friend as part of the girl group. They reconnected very fast and got super close. Jaehyun can tell her everything that is on his mind and he knows that she won't  judge him.

Now, he knows that he should not be turning Jaehyun into him, but it's all fun and games.

→ Arachnophobia || Fear of Spiders || He was five years old when his parents took him to a bug's life exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. There, he saw various bugs that looked cool, but the eight legged spider (tarantula) scared the daylights out of him, since he had no idea what it was at the time.
→ Leukophobia  || fear of the color white || White represents death. The fear isn't so bad to the point that he goes into septic shock but he finds the color unnerving. It's like going to a funeral as he claims. He hates anything that is colored white, like hospitals, rooms and clothes.
→ Claustrophobia  || fear of enclosed spaces || It's an irrational fear that deals with the possibility of getting in a fear inducing situation while being in an elevator or visiting a concert where big crowds tend to push and pull. As an idol, Jaehyun knows it's ridiculous but he's slowly learning how to control it. It started when he was a kid and he was left alone in his tiny New York bedroom while his parents went out for the night.

Personality:
     Kim Yura, or Ahyoung as those closest to her know her as, is the absolute embodiement of sunshine. Always happy, smiling or laughing, Yura  is the possibly the happiest person that you could ever meet. She's fun, lively and optimistic. The very first thing that one would notice about Yura is her smile. Her smile brightens the room and then her body. She's a y style with probably one the best bodies in kpop due to her skills with diets and making sure that she stays her y curvy self while eating all she wants. Yura is innocently perfect and that's one of her many charms.

However like every angelic being, Yura does have her negatives. She's very blunt with her words and doesn't think about what she says most of the time.  She loves her food and will get really mad if people will forcefully take that away from her. Her bluntness has broken many a heart and she knows it. She uses the iness that she exudes to get close and break hearts. Yura is a sweetheart with a wild side that, when unleashed, brings hell to everyone.

Meeting:

Jaehyun met Yura backstage at Music Core, after the Kindle performance.  She had been watching their performance while Girl's Day was waiting backstage, seemingly very nervous.  "Don't be nervous. You look amazing." She had gone on stage shortly after that with a blush on her cheeks. Jaehyun didn't even know her name and at the time, he thought that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
 

Interaction(s):
Their relationship is strictly that of coworkers at first. Jaehyun and Yura only meet on shows and work together and then don't really hang otu much outisde of the music shows, since there's really no reason for them to hang outside of work. Almost complete opposites, Yura and Jaehyun don't really think of each other right away as the person they would actually date. but there's a nagging feeling that maybe their other half is someone they don't even talk with.  Jaehyun calls her his ideal type and he is actually romantically interested in her, but thinks that since he's a dork, he has no chance with a goddess like Yura. Yura, on the other hand, doesn't find him romantically attractive since she's more into guys like her We Got Married partner Hong Jonghyun, and she thinks that Jaehyun is nothing compared to Hong Jonghyun.

It's a very much one sided love story, until Jaehyun gets a chance to prove to Yura that he's not all the dork and loser that she thinks he is. He ends up showing her his manlier side. Yura does start to see him as a man but still holds no attarction whatsoever towards him until they end up alone. When they end up alone, without Girl's Day or the rest of Kindle, Jaehyun has a chance to directly confess but instead, he doesn't. Yura is the one who confesses first but Jaehyun rejects her telling her that he would be happier just admiring her off to side instead forcing her to date or like him.  Also, he wants to be the one to confess when he's ready and knows that she loves him as a man and not as a manly dork next to Hong Jonghyun.

Comment/Concern/Question(s): Thank you for letting me apply~ Um, I hope you like Jaehyun~ If you think that he doesn't suit being a leader, then feel free to change his position if necessary. But I was kind of going with the idea that he would be the unexpected leader, like the person who people think least likely to be a leader.
